The Beauty Quadrant: Ipsy March 2019!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another post!

Ipsy March 2019!

It finally came in the mail and I am disappointed! Let me start with the add-ons!

Add-On Items: So, every month Ipsy offers some add-on items you can purchase in full size for $12 and deluxe for $3 and I got some items from both parts this time. Two of them happened to be in the Glam Bag Plus for March and they are the Huda Beauty Obsessions pallets and the F. A. H. R. A. Five Eye Brush Set. I got these two since they were available to add-on and since I have not tried any of the Huda shadows before I was interested in these pallets. Glam Plus people could get either the Mauve Obsessions, Coral Obsessions, or Smoky Obsessions and I picked Smoky because it is my favorite go to eye look the most since it’s simple for me without going too much into the shade names. This is normally $27 on the Huda Beauty website and glad to get one for $12 through Ipsy and it comes with nine shadows and in a mix of matte and shimmers. I do love the feel of the packaging since it’s very sturdy and I have heard good things about the shadows so hoping they are pigmented since I heard some others aren’t so pigmented. Let’s see how they go. While the brush set, I have a set of brushes from these guys and they are awesome and getting these brushes are a nice little add onto what I have. I know I will use these for shadows and probably setting powder for under the eyes and so on and they are really soft. I don’t get why they are $50 when they are so small. Oh well, I will see how these go. And the final add-on that ended up missing is a shadow from Space Case Cosmetics in Alien Love Child. I loved the nail polish I tried by them when I bought a set of polishes a while back and this was missing in my envelope. I did buy a set of shadows and Alien Love Child is in the set but I got this before the set went on the Ipsy Offers page. You know me and space themes I knew I wanted to try more products from this brand. I did contact Ipsy about my missing items, yes there’s more than one, to see what they can do.

Bag Products:

Yensa Foundation in Medium: First up is a foundation from the brand Yensa. This brand is the second brand that Jennifer Yen, who played Vipra on Power Rangers Light Speed Rescue, developed but it’s more of her cosmetics brand since Pur~Lisse is her skin care brand. This brand is also containing more skin care ingredients like…SPF…dun dun dun! I can’t use this foundation because of it containing SPF 50 from what I remembered. Yes I do live in Florida where the sun is terrible for the skin but I am not always in the sun and I don’t always go to the beach either since I now live on the coast. The thing is that SPF infused makeup messes up my skin since it’s so sensitive. I am going to donate this foundation to the Personal Management instructor since she does teach makeup techniques and knowing someone will benefit from this foundation more than me.
Royal & Langnickle Moda Pro Precision Angle Brush: Next is a brush from Royal & Langnickle and it’s been a while since I got a brush from them in Ipsy. I loved their paint brushes and glad they make makeup brushes. This brush is great for putting highlighter and contour and can also be used for eye shadow. I may use this for setting powder since it does fit my under eyes pretty well. Way to go Ipsy!
Ciate London Mini Lip Luster in Call Me: Next is another item from Ciate London and that is a lip luster lip gloss. I did get their setting powder in one bag and their transforming lip gloss in another and glad to get this item. It smells like cake batter and it went on very smoothly actually! This is a Vitamin E enriched gloss and non-sticky which I agree and it is a transparent rose shade which is even more nice. I hope to get more Ciate London products because I am loving them so far from what I have tried in my bags.
Pur Mini After Glow Highlighting Powder: Next is a highlighter from Pur Cosmetics. I only have one eye shadow pallet from this brand and that is from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic movie that was released in 2017 and didn’t get back to Boxy nor Ipsy until last year and this year. I am glad to try a highlighter from them which is in a magnetic pan. This product is made with Ceratin Complex and is made as an iridescent glowing powder and it is a gluton free formula which is pretty interesting. I will have to try this item out since I do love highlighters even if with a subtle glow.
Tarte Man-eater Mascara: Final item that did not arrive is the Tarte Man-eater mascara. I was able to pick my last product this month and I chose this because I never tried the Man-eater mascara and had heard good things about it. When I saw it wasn’t in my bag it really disappointed me since I was looking forward to it. I did email Ipsy about this issue and hoping it can be resolved. If I have to buy a tube then I would but I will see what Ipsy has to say and plus it’s been a while since I had used any Tarte products since they do release the same shades over and over in their makeup line. What happened Ipsy this month?

Well, that is it for this month’s bag. You can tell I am upset for the products being missing. I pay $10 a month for this bag and was getting all my products until now this month which made me sad. It did make me happy though that this month’s theme did deal with Women’s International History Month this month and they were featuring brands created by women such as Yensa, Pur~Lisse, Tarte, Space Case Cosmetics, and so many more. I think we should give more praise to women owning brands since we do work hard as much as anyone. Plus the bag does have a nice message, “And off she went to change the world!” Which is true where we do change the world.

So, that is it for this month’s bag. I hope next month this doesn’t happen especially when my bag was pretty delayed due to shipping from Orlando to the coast since my bag has to go through the Orlando shipping center before it gets to me and it was there for almost a week! So, let’s see what happens with April!

Next will be my review on Omni Fandom Expo! Stay tuned!

The Review Quadrant: The Scott Beds His Wife by. Kerrigan Byrne

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another book review!

The Scott Beds His Wife by. Kerrigan Byrne

Disclaimer: This review is based on thoughts and opinions of the lead writer of this blog. Please respect her thoughts.

This book continues the Victorian Rebels series where we meet Gavin St. James, the Earl of Thorn and a notorious highlander, always gets what he wants including women who are married to other men and wants to put his past behind him until he meets a woman with a fiery spirit who is claiming the land he wants for the longest time.

Samantha Masters comes back to Scotland in a pair of trousers along with secrets of her time being in the Wild West and wants to leave that behind, especially murdering her husband who is a part of a dangerous family. When she meets Gavin their time spent together not only brings them closer but also a marriage that keeps a scandal under wraps once the land she came to claim burns to ashes.

Thoughts: I tried to find the other books in this series but the only one I can find on Bookshare are the one before this one, The Duke, this one, and the next one which I will review next. It ticks me off when Bookshare doesn’t have all of the books in a series for me to read because I have to read it in order to understand it. But I do notice how these books can be read as standalone novels since the characters we meet are individual people. I did find this book very good since I did get to see how someone that shows up unexpectedly can feel like they don’t fit in with the land they are supposed to be a part of. I can see that a lot with Samantha since she is the spunky tomboy that prefers to wear pants rather than poofy skirts and bodices during the 1800s when that was the fashion at the time. Plus, her attitude was very different from the prim and proper due to how she always lived in the Wild West. I always pictured her accent taking on the southern type and did hear it throughout the book and I can see how Gavin became interested in her. I could see why he preferred someone different over anyone else even though some secrets did arise about him throughout the book even about his brother and his father since the Prologue kind of gave us a glimpse of his family from the past which made it interesting. I did like how the idea of marrying for land came into being but I felt like it didn’t matter throughout the book because I felt like these two were meant for each other even if they had secrets they want to leave behind. It is all about love and it did shine through with this book.

I do love Samantha’s character because she was fiery and she didn’t want to give up on anything especially when she kept a promise to a friend of hers but almost lost it as she fell for Gavin. She did show how she did things back in America to take care of animals and even wanted to help Gavin’s mother despite being injured when Erendale burned down. She still found ways of being able to keep herself strong throughout the book even when things got harder and her secrets were starting to unravel and wanted to hold onto Gavin while she did it.

Rating: 4.5 Star Paw Prints Out of 5! I am knocking off five points from this because I felt like Gavin’s back story was kind of missing in a way. Yes, we got to hear more about Samantha’s back story but I felt like I wanted to know more about Gavin especially leading up to the end. What I mean is that with the last book, The Duke, I got both characters’ back story as in Imogen trying to work as a nurse and a bar maid to help pay for her dad’s debts and meeting a duke who lost his family and later on she becomes a Countess out of a crime and the Duke was sick while being tortured during a war and they end up together after so long. Here I felt like I just saw all of Sam’s story and not enough of Gavin’s except that his brother is a Highlander that hates his guts. I will be reading the next one and see how that goes. I do love Samantha and Gavin as a couple in this book and I did like how they stayed together even in the end when the secret is finally out. Hoping with the next one my review will be better.

That is it for this review guys! I will include the link to the book on Amazon and hope you check it out! Hoping to get Ipsy March 2019 up and my review of Omni Fandom Expo up soon because I’ve been kind of ill lately. I know, it sucks being sick! Until next time!

The Review Quadrant: Battle of the Bulge: Oh Hell No #4 by. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds traveling the vast universe! I am back with another book review!

Battle of the Bulge: Oh Hell No! #4 by. Mimi Jean Pamfiloff

Disclaimer: This book review is based on thoughts and opinions by the lead writer of this blog! Please respect her thoughts!

What is it about? This book starts where digging a Hole left off where Abi Carter, Georgie’s best friend, had a bit of a one night with hot Mitch Hofer, an Australian swimmer known for his…ahem! Manly gear and nicknamed “The Bulge.” After being kicked out, Abi ends up being his body guard after knowing that he has a hit while Mitch doesn’t want her as one due to how he gets distracted by her at every turn while he is watching his back and same with her. Will they be able to work together to keep him alive or will The Bulge take over?

Thoughts: I found this book very entertaining since it did have that Love-At-First-Sight idea and then I-Hate-Your-Guts attitude once things started going. I love how these two are able to work with each other even if Mitch tries to keep Abi out of his life and why he doesn’t want her in due to safety reasons. I felt like they did care for each other as the book went on and knew they would be together in the end. Come on now, can’t have one of those stories where guy and girl end up together in the end.

I did like the twist and turns with the idea of Mitch’s life being on the table since he did have a hit placed on his head for pictures that his uncle had that dealt with WWII and the Battle of the Bulge, yes that is an actual battle by the way. I did like how Abi was always there at the right times to save Mitch as well since we weren’t expecting the attacks to take place and she is pretty much there to keep him safe even off the clock or fired.

So far in this series, I do like each couple and how they interact with each other. Tass and and Hunter did have their arguments in the first book but were meant for each other in the end, Henry and El did have their break up in the beginning but were a cute couple towards the end and it was a very sweet ending, while Georgie and Sam had an even touching story despite their deceptions. Even sweeter with Sam having a family. While Mitch and Abi had their happy ending despite life threatening situations and a weird beauty pageant. I can’t wait what the next one brings.

Rating: Five Star Paw Prints Out of Five! This book deserved the rating since it did keep the romantic comedy idea going despite the hardships Abi and Mitch were going through. As in, Mitch being hunted down despite being a celebrity and being guarded and Abi trying to keep her head in the game thinking about keeping herself paid to pay for her final semester and a future business she wants to pursue, this was a great story. So far this has been one of my favorite newer series that Mimi has written besides Librarian’s Vampire Assistant and the the sequel series to Accidentally Yours which I am waiting on that next book. Still a great book!

The Beauty Quadrant: BoxyCharm March 2019!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds! I am back with another post for today! It is rare to have a twofer but this time it’s…

BoxyCharm March 2019!

It is finally here! This month there were delays in the box and I was always wondering when I was getting my tracking email, heck they said I was supposed to get it in a day when I didn’t. The head of BoxyCharm said that they did fix the issue and got boxes shipped out but I noticed some of my favorite people on YouTube got their first and some people got their boxes too but with the wrong pallet which I will get into now!

CoverFX Perfector Face Pallet: This was a bit of a drama item because they were basing it off of profiles this month. If you have been a Charmer for a long time they have added their own beauty quiz and I like this one more than the one Ipsy has done with the question about skin tone. They have finally put light to medium and glad I checked it when I subscribed to Boxy again. You would either get Light to Medium or Medium to Deep in this pallet and if you got the wrong one they alert you by email and give you charms because you can’t get it replaced due to the limited quantities of this pallet. I find it weird when I heard that because this pallet is supposed to be a BoxyCharm exclusive and they should have had backups just in case something happened and I did hear that the Light to Medium had less pallets than Medium to Deep which is a bit off. I hope this is the Light to Medium one since I did not get an email saying I got the wrong one and I had Seeing A. I. read some of the colors on the back and it sounds like it is the right one for me. Let me get into the pallet contents! This contains six face products which happen to be two highlighters, a blush, a contour shade, a brightening powder, and a finishing powder. This item retails for $45 and I heard good things about this brand especially the popular Brightening Drops that people hype about. I have to try this out because I never used CoverFX before and glad to try them out here in Boxy and can’t wait to try out the powders the most since I would probably use them as under eye powders rather than all over my face.
Wonder Beauty Purifying Peel Off Mask: Another item from Wonder Beauty I got in a box and it’s the Purifying Peel Off mask. I heard that peel off masks are a bad idea to use because after long time use your skin will lose its elasticity and well this is my first one. This mask is supposed to contain acai, goji berry, and blueberry extracts, green tea leaf extract, and litchi extract. It also supposed to help dull skin and lift off any impurities in the skin. When I heard about the harms of these masks it is supposed to be washed off with warm water. I am thinking, maybe I should just see about peeling it off first on my first use and then wash it off with warm water to see how both would work. I will get back to you guys either on Twitter or the next Favorites post. The retail price for this mask is $34!
Mode Brushes Face Powder and Highlight Kit: Next is a pair of brushes from Mode Brushes and that is their Powder and Highlight Kit. I am not sure if this is a part of a collection or not but this is supposed to retail for $29.99. I remembered getting a small kit of eye brushes from this company when they did an all eyes box a few years back and those were awesome brushes. Some people found the highlight brush in this flimsy but it feels fine to me while the powder brush is amazing! A little updates, I did go to Moda Brushes’ website which is a part of the Royal & Lannickel Beauty brand, this is a standalone face brush set. I will have to try these brushes out since they were a paint brush brand at first and now into beauty.
Ofra Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Monaco: Next is a past favorite and that is the Ofra Everlasting Liquid Lipstick! In this month’s box going with the rose gold theme, we got Monaco which is metallic rosy pink shade. I have not tried the metallic matte lipsticks they make but hoping it goes well. As you all know, these last long and they are much pigmented, heck I used my Havana Nights one during Omni! Plus, this item retails $20.00.
Mana Kadar Bloom Mascara: Final item is a variation item I believe and it’s from Mana Kadar. I have tried products by these guys through Ipsy and liked them pretty well, I do have their Lip Glossary and sometimes it’s hard to apply their glosses. I have not tried a mascara by these guys yet and I do like the bottle design. Apparently the claims are that kit lengthens and volumizes, also has a built in primer, and it would not leave clumps and can reach those hard to get lashes. Price for this is $29. I will see how this goes!

That is all of my products. I did just try the mask while writing this post but so far it’s not my favorite mask and it’s hard to peel off, it’s like alien skin and I had to wash the rest because I had a hard time peeling it off and it was easier washing it off. So, will be washing off for now on and can see why it was suggested to do that. If you want to join BoxyCharm, it’s $21.00 a month and if you live in Florida you will be taxed so you will pay $22 instead. You do get five full-size or deluxe size high end and luxury products. I would say, even though there is Boxy Lux which costs in the $50 range this is a better value in my opinion since you do get the brands in Boxy Lux in this box still minus Morphe, even though they are more drugstore.

So, that is it for this post! Next will be Ipsy since that will arrive tomorrow from what my shipping alerts say. Until next time!

The Beauty Quadrant: New Subscription! Allure Beauty Box!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling it and I have a new subscription for you!

Allure Beauty Box!

I am now subscribed to Allure’s Beauty Box and I know it is weird to see me mention this magazine but I do admit I get emails from them every day. I tend to read the most interesting of the articles and they are accessible on my phone more than on my computer, which I don’t get why. I got interested in the box on my own, no YouTube personality said, and “This box is so amazing! Buy it!” This box is $15.00 a month, which if you first subscribe it will be $5 off. You get seven deluxe to full-size samples of makeup that gets mentioned in the magazine and they can range from high end to luxury items and I think some drugstore too since they have mentioned my favorite range of dry shampoo from Dove on their Top Sixteen Dry Shampoos list. Also, the samples are based on your beauty history with the box as in what you got in the past, which makes it interesting since Ipsy is basing off of profiles while BoxyCharm is starting to do profiles with a mix of random. This one is just on history alone. Let’s see what I got since I am a new subscriber I get different things from people who have been subscribed to this box for a while.

Aqure: Seriously Soothing Tansy Night Oil: First is a night oil from Aqure, sorry for the spelling. This is a moisturizing night time oil which contains sweet almond, hahoba, and Blue Tansy which is a type of chamomile. This is interesting! Apparently it can also be used on other parts of the boy like hair and dry spots before makeup and it is also good for sensitive skin. This would be perfect for my skin since I am sensitive and dry and have been watching out for stuff with SPF which sounds ironic for someone that lives in Florida especially on the coast. I can’t wait to try this out!
Emica Soulpud Nourishing Hair Mask: Next is a product from Emica which I hear good things about this company! This mask contains many hydrating oils like Hahoba Seed Oil, Pantenol, and Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil and it’s easy to spread and just leave it on for five to seven minutes. I can’t wait to try this mask out since my hair does get dry in certain areas.
Model Co. Ice Fire Trio in Makinos: This is an eye shadow trio that contains a burgundy, a brown, and a pink champagne shadow. These are shimmery too which makes it more intense and they are everyday ones. I remembered trying blushes from ModelCo back in the past and it’s been a while since I got anything else from them in subscription boxes so this is a new item for me.
Wonder Beauty Mile High Club Mascara: Next is a mascara by the brand Wonder Beauty. I have not tried out this mascara before but had heard good things about it including good things about the brand themselves. I know we’re supposed to get a Wonder product in BoxyCharm but I haven’t gotten that yet. I can’t wait to try this item out.
Tanya Kreux Instatint Brow Gel: This is interesting to see a brow product and normally I go for clear gels or the Tame & Frame Brow Gel from NYX. This will be interesting for me to try since I never tried something from Tanya Kreux before and she is supposed to be a brow expert. Let’s see how it goes!
Tarte Tartist Quick Drying Lip Paint in Og: This is a bright purple liquid lipstick that came in my box this month. I rarely buy Tarte anything but this is a nice item to get in my box. I did just try it out and it does claim to be quick drying and you can hardly feel it on your lips. I will see how this product goes.
Mamond Rose Water Toner: Final item is the Mamond Rose Water Toner. It feels as though that rose is the theme this month for all the boxes this year for March and glad to see an item like this in my box. According to the claims, this is a very moisturizing toner and best to use after cleansing. The roses used for this toner are known as the Demasque Rose that is picked at dusk. Interesting! I will have to try this out since it’s been forever since I have used a toner, I used the Clean & Clear Sensitive Skin Toner but it dried out my skin pretty badly over time and now with this one I think this will help.

That is it for this box! I am liking it so far since this is my first one after all. I find it pretty cool that this box for this month had picks by Allure Editors which makes it even great due to how the editors tried it first and feel that their readers would enjoy. I am glad to check out the Tarte liquid lipstick and the ModelCo shadow and finally getting to try out a product by Emica. I can’t wait to see what they put in my April box since I want to have this box for a while due to how I can try out luxury brands without clearing out my bank account.

That is it! Next will be Ipsy and Boxy, also our Omni Fandom Expo coverage starting with the review! Stay tuned!

Cartoon Quadrant: RWBY Volume 6 Review!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another review!

RWBY Volume 6

Disclaimer: This review is based on thoughts and opinions of the lead writer of this blog. Please respect her thoughts on what she is about to say even on one particular subject. So enjoy!

After saving Mistral, Ruby and the gang are on the journey yet again to head for Atlas this time in order to protect a possible relic of the Seasonal Maidens (That’s my name for them by the way!) While traveling, Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang, Qrow, and an old lady by the name of Maria end up finding out what the Spring Relic really is and find out more about the world they live in. Meanwhile, Cinder returns and is now cut off from Salem and crew, now as a solo villain she plots to find Ruby with the help of Neopolitan. On top of it, Adam Taurus is in vengeance mode against Blake for what she did to him at Mistral and not get over the past and her betrayal to him.

Thoughts: Damn! This volume was deep! Very deep! What I mean by this is that not only it answered questions about some stuff I was hoping for but it also shown the origins of Salem and Ozpen. Plus, how Remnant began along with it. Basically, Salem was a girl who lived alone in a tower and one day a legendary hero by the name of Ozma shown up and was able to help her escape. Ozma became ill after a sickness appeared and Salem hoped to get help from the God of Light, yes this deals with deities and I kind of felt like it was really deep even when the tale kept on going. It even went really deep when the God of Light refused to save Ozma and the God of Darkness shows up. It did cause a fight between the two gods after Ozma’s health was returned and led to Salem being immortal and not be with Ozma ever again. I can see as the origin story continued that Salem did walk the path of darkness and how she put faith and love into deities that she prayed to and they failed her in the end and how she became the crazy person she is and creating Grimm and other things kind of shown that she has to do things herself especially with what the post end credits revealed.

I don’t want to give too much away since this also tells how the relics were created and later on how the Maidens were also born except what made me happy was that they finally explained where Silver Eyes came from. Basically they are from the God of Light which Ruby was trying to find ways of activating them more throughout this time and all thanks to Maria and some knowledge from the Spring Relic she is able to use them. I did find it pretty epic with how she was able to use it again zombie-like Grimm at a barn and then later on a Kaiju Grimm but it did finally helped her grow in a way. When I first started watching this series she was the immature and reckless teammate among Team RWBY and when the Fall of Beacon took place that was when her silver eyes activated. By the time Volume 4 took place, she knew that she couldn’t stay home and let Beacon stay in ruin and must find the guys who destroyed it. Volume 5 just shown how she must take out Salem before anyone she knows dies like with Pyra and now in Volume 6 she wanted people let her do what she needs to do in the fight and let people have faith in her, especially with Qrow.

Speaking of which, he was pretty much annoying during this volume and wished someone just yell, “Shut up!” Even towards the end when Ruby finally said, “Step aside and let me do it!” I think he was being too protective over Yang and Ruby due to how Yang lost her arm and didn’t want her to get hurt even further but seeing how Yang helped Blake again which I will get to next I think she’s fine! While Ruby, I can see it since Ruby is the only thing left from her mom, Summer, he doesn’t want her to get hurt or killed even after what they went through in the last two volumes. I wonder what will happen to him in the next volume since apparently they will be replacing Vic as his voice. Oh yeah, not sure if you heard guys but Rooster Teeth has cut all ties to Vic due to some allegations of sexual assault and harassment were made alight as the new Dragonball Super movie with Broly came out recently. Not only that, Funimation also dropped him. I will give you my thoughts once I do my rating.

Now onto Yang! This volume shown her and her relationship with Blake starting off rocky at first since Blake has returned and with some series this can happen. As we know that Blake ran off at the end of Volume 3 after Yang got hurt when she helped Blake from getting hurt by Adam! I can see why it started off a little rocky since Yang was hoping to help Blake get over having her losing her arm except it did take a while for Blake to return. This volume did reflect on their awkwardness of being teammates again and mostly friends…ahem, even though me and Gondras agreed they should kiss, still the final few episodes did show an epic fight of them working together again and this time it was them against Adam. I am glad that that fight took place and how it ended made it better! I am hoping with Volume 7 they keep their dynamic going since these two know how to work together.

Acting: I have to give major props to the acting for this volume. Not only the story was well written but the acting matched it too. It has improved since last volume and how each character interacted was beautifully done. I give major props to Melissa Sternenberg who voiced Maria in this volume. She brought some of the comedy back in with being an old lady throughout this thing and also giving fighting advice to Ruby since she did have the Silver Eyes herself but were taken from her. I did like how she could connect them to tech so she could see since she did mention they needed repairs. Also, I give major props who voice Cordova since she had to yell her lungs out towards the end of the volume.

Rating: 5 Star Paw Prints Out of 5! This volume definitely brought on and deserved the five star paw prints because it was a very well done volume. I hope they keep this going for the next one because it looks like it’s about to be End Game from what we’re seeing with the Post End Credits. I am hoping not since there are more things to come since we have the last two relics in Atlas from the looks of it and Vakuyo which was revealed in this volume before Hazel interrupted. Also, we don’t know the Winter and Summer Maidens yet which those two seem to be important and we haven’t seen the Winter one as of yet either. I am hoping with the next one it will show themselves. Ruby has grown up significantly with this volume because I can see she is starting to show that she may be a tiny fighter but she can kick butt and did speak up for herself. Not only that Yang and Blake did have their rocky start after getting back together at the end of Volume 5 but they did take on Adam together to get their team dynamic back. Seriously, these two need a relationship too since they give off Utena and Anthy vibes in my book with how they want to protect each other. Now to the bigger elephant!

I know I mentioned about Vic being replaced for next volume due to being let go and it does suck that you lose your job even in the voice acting industry. This feels like the original actor who played England in Hitalia except his sentence was worse due to having child porn. Unlike Vic, these kinds of allegations will follow him forever until he pretty much dies. I am not taking any sides because I have experienced loved ones even Gondras lose jobs even in more serious things and to me I was up for karma catching up to him since I have heard the stories even from friends who have volunteered at the conventions he was at and one of them was MetroCon and he did get banned from. I do have to say is that looking at my first experience meeting Vic at Anime Festival Orlando 2006 I had a good experience. I did have a creeper get on me at the same convention but four years later at a late night event and I can tell most creeps don’t care about how you feel nor if you have a significant other. I also have seen some of the Tweets on Twitter from some voice actresses I do follow that have said something and I can say this, someone can be innocent until proven guilty. I am not siding with anyone at the moment and at the same time I hope things do clear up because there needs to be hard evidence towards something like this and pictures don’t always cut it. I would say if something did happen why didn’t police get alerted early on? Is it due to work or something else? I am not sure. All in all, I hope the best for Vic and I also hope the best for anyone who had something that probably have been victimized and I understand sexual harassment is not a good thing and a lot of things can be risked when it happens. So, if you have been a victim recently, take to the proper authorities right away and not wait. Scars can happen and people can get hurt.

I bet you’re asking me, who do you think should play Qrow now? Well, I think either J. Michael Tatum should use his Scar voice or maybe Todd Haberkorn since I have heard him do an older man’s voice. Who knows, we have to wait for this fall for the next volume!

Well, that is it for this review! I know that last bit was a bit deep but hey I had to put my own two cents in with latest updates. Please don’t get on my case for what I said either since my Disclaimer is something I stand by so please respect my opinion. What is next for us? Hoping getting any remains of Holiday Matsuri items up and of course Omni Fandom Expo is in a week and a half or so so yeah this year is breezing by fast! I will also try to do my Coastal Scents Revealed Rouge look soon since Omni is happening soon and my parents will be visiting me in a week. So stay tuned on our Twitter for the latest updates!

Favorites Quadrant: January & February 2019

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back to Nerdy SHique Universe! It is time for my Favorites of January and February 2019!

Favorites: January & February 2019!

Favorite Device: Tap! First is something new to my collection of adaptive devices and it’s known as the Tap. It’s something that was new last year and didn’t get to see it during the NFB National Convention last year and finally got to see it during A. T. I. A. in Orlando which me and the rest of my co-workers along with students went to to check out the new tech companies were making. It is a glove where censors are on your knuckles and you get to tap letters and words and get to learn through their apps. It does get frustrating even with some of the letters but after completing the level becomes more satisfying. It doesn’t cost much either, it’s $199 and you do get a coupon from the website by spinning a wheel or going to an event which I did get when going to A. T. I. A. which gave me $25 off. I will give a full on review and a demo soon so stay tuned!

Favorite Low Tech Device: Braille Color Tags! Another item in the adaptive tech department is something I’ve been using with my work clothes and they are Braille Color Tags and glad I love these. They are tags with letters that represent colors like the letters b, l, l which means light blue in Braille. I was introduced to these through one of the other teachers at work and she gave me a small packet to try out and found them through the Braille Superstore and picked up a bag which I ended up two after they had to send them again when they got returned due to not having my apartment number. I did order them again and now I have a lot of labels to use. These are cheaper on Braille Superstore than Maxi Aids and you do get free shipping. What you can do with these is either sew them on or just pin them with a safety pin, which I use the safety pins and you barely notice them while wearing something. They are also washable. Also, I would suggest saving the webpage with these because it gives you a guide of which tag stands for what so you wouldn’t get confused. I do love with green, blue, purple, and pink they do have an l and a d to distinguish dark and light versions of the color. I will definitely buy more of these.

Beauty Box Wrap Up: Since I am back with Boxy and now about to get Allure Beauty Box, it’s time to talk about the items I got and what I think!

January Ipsy: January’s Ipsy was not bad since I felt like the items were not bad of choice. I did like the Ella & Eden eye shadow in Willow due to how well it blended and went on very smoothly with a brush. I did see how much the single was from this brand and it is a little pricey but what you can do with a higher end brand. I may get Willow again since it’s a nice burgundy shade and can go with my burgundy outfits. The Hempz lip balm is okay due to how drying it feels on my lips. I prefer my Lip Smackers over this item because with my Lip Smackers they go on more smoothly when this was more of a gel over a stick. I was hoping to get it as a stick but seeing that the ingredients included various oils I can see where it was in the tube. I will use it up though. I haven’t used the Color Club nail polish yet but will get to it eventually. I did see a set for sale but not in my kind of shades but hey I will be looking forward to this one. The Illamasqua eyeliner, on the other hand, I love it! It’s a dark brown for it being a nude liner but it does go well with my work makeup. It’s hard to find a nude liner in the stores anymore and I am glad that Ipsy gave this one out in January and hoping to get more products by these guys. And I lost my Balm Alternative Rock blush. I don’t ’now what had happened but it went missing. I did buy the pallet itself and was able to use the blush that way and man it’s much pigmented. I highly recommend The Balm as a brand and I still want to get their Nude Beach pallet.
February Ipsy: This month was a better bag and I got the Doucce Graphic Eyeliner pen. Funny thing is that this was also in the Allure box for February but didn’t subscribe to that until today. Glad I got it in this bag. It glided on pretty well for a marker and I just do pretty thin lines since I don’t want to have too bold of line going into work every day. Glad to get this one! Marc Anthony Strengthening Grow Mask is something I have just tried tonight for my first time. I noticed how my hair is really soft after using this product but need to use it more to get the full benefits. Eyeko Lash Alert mascara was amazing for a small sample. It did separate my lashes and curled them up like no other and I am glad to get a full size one through Ipsy through their Shopper page. I hope they give more mascaras because it took them almost a year to give me one. Please keep them coming! Inra Cosmo Nail Polish in Pulse is an easy to chip formula. I think I am either harsh with my nails or the formula can’t stay on even with top and base coat. By the next day all my nails started chipping which made me mad. I will redo my nails to see if the color will stay this time if I don’t cook or do the dishes or even with the next day. Laqr & Company PH Gloss was okay! I can’t see the difference since I can’t see myself wearing the color in the mirror I do notice how it’s barely on my lips but it does go on pretty well.

All I have to say that these two bags starting the year weren’t that bad for what they have sent me when it came to products. I did use them all even though I did get the pallet where the Balm blush came from. I can’t wait what March brings!

Boxy Charm:

January 2019: The Biaggio Leave-In Conditioning spray was a great item. I do like how soft my hair was after spraying this every time I shampoo or dry shampoo to keep my hair going frizzy. It also had a nice smell to it which is a great thing. It was saddening to see it being finished and tossed out because I loved this product for what it was. Next is the Tacha Face Masks and these kept my face moisturized. Ever since I moved to the coast my skin has changed over time and it was even drier due to the cold weather that always came in throughout December and January. These masks helped my skin from going cray and did moisturize it very well and it was good they included two masks instead of one. All thanks to these I did start purchasing sheet masks and so far so good my skin is calming down even if I am using two weeks at a time to keep my skin from going crazy. I have loved the Ofra Everlasting Liquid Lipstick for the longest time and I got it in the shade Havana Nights which is one of Kathleen Lights’ collaborations and she did help with creating this box. It has a new packaging design where it’s a box shape rather than a round tube and loving it better this way since it makes it more unique. I wear this at work sometimes or when I am not at work other times so it is still a favorite! I got a Star Lux eyeliner again but didn’t use it yet since I do have other black eyeliners to get through. Finally, the Tarte Rain Forest of the Sea Vol. 3 pallet! I never have gotten any other pallet from Tarte until this one which came in my Boxy. It is a mini pallet with eight shades and it is pretty good for travel. I did use this in my last Makeup Storytime video and it did blend pretty well. I hope to use this pallet more and glad to get it since it looks like another volume of this line will be out soon and hope to get it in the box.

February 2019: This was an okay box with what I got this month. First is the Touch & Soul No Poreblem Primer. I found this item not being a favorite because I felt like it was too dry for my liking. I love more of a Dewey primer since my skin is so dry and yes it claimed to do that but not enough. I felt like it dried to fast before I put any foundation on top so not a great product for me. I think a person with oily skin should get this primer over someone with dry skin. The Too Faced Better than Sex mascara was not my favorite as a sample but it worked a lot better for me as a full size because it did not flake. I think it’s because the formula in the sample is not the same in full size and I can see that very easily when it flaked more in the sample than the full. I did wear this mascara on Valentine’s Day when I did a look with the Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar pallet and someone at work did compliment on how my eyes looked. Next the Pretty Vulgar Highlighter was a pretty good highlighter and was pretty nice to apply. I am so glad to try this brand out this way because I have heard good things and good to try it through a subscription like this. It is pretty pricey for what you get but glad to get it in a subscription and good to know how well the product works. Next the Clean Bee Face Wash from Pharmacy. I never tried anything from Pharmacy before until this product. I thought it was okay for what it was but if I use any other skin products it causes a bit of a weird sting to it because of how it was working afterwards and did feel a slight warm sensation to my skin. I am not sure if it’s due to the adding on my Clearisil face wash and face pads that are causing this but I do notice it too while using my E. L. F. moisturizer the next morning where it has a slight sting to it. I am glad I will only use this product just once from this box because yes it does work but I don’t like the feeling afterwards. Finally, the Trestique Lip Glaze and Primer in English Rose! I was glad to try the full size of this item since I do have a pretty good lip primer already. This is pretty much the bigger size to the mini version and it does cost more due to the primer at the bottom. I do get the minis since they do work the same. This is a perfect makeup product for work since it’s not too intense.

Well, I preferred January’s box because I preferred the sheet masks more. I felt like I could use the products in that box more since the face items in February’s did give me a weird feeling afterwards especially the face wash. I did see what is coming in March’s box so far and can’t wait to see what I may get if there are more than one variation of the products since one of them you have to do your quiz since it deals with skin tone and I can’t wait to see what that will bring!

Sheet Masks: Yes to Tomatoes Acne Mask! I have been getting sheet masks for a month now and glad that I went through Ulta and bought a few first and did get a set of twelve through Ipsy and now waiting on one with not only sheet masks but also eye gels from Ipsy too. I do have to say I have tried one and that is the Yes to Tomatoes Acne mask. I know it’s weird for me to have one like this but I do have some spots on my cheeks and decided to try this one out first. I was afraid that it would give my skin a bad reaction but it didn’t. Years ago when I tried getting into skin care my mom tried to have me use a tomato scrub but it reacted badly with my skin. Using this was more refreshing and didn’t smell bad either. Next morning my zit patches caused them to come up and be more of a white head. It feels good and it did some wonders, I may have to get more of this mask to get more results.

Not So Favorite Mask: Yes to Coconuts Hydrating Mask! While getting the masks I chose I got another Yes to one and that is the one Yes to Coconuts and was supposed to be a hydrating one. This one gave me a bit of a burning sensation. I am not sure if it was due to the Clearisil face pads but it was kind of a bit burning and didn’t give me anything like a red mark either. It did die down as time goes on during the time I set it for. I don’t think I will get this one anymore since it did have that burning sensation. I hope the others don’t give me that since I have a few from Tony Moley and one from Memevox.

An Okay Moisturizer: E. L. F. Daily Hydrating Moisturizer! With my quest for trying out new moisturizers I have found the E. L. F. I have been using being a little okay for me. I found the packaging interesting where it is a tube with a pump and it is sometimes not able to have it come out as well so I have to pump it out three times to get it out evenly. Plus, I don’t feel like it’s not moisturizing enough after applying. At least next I will be trying something different.

New Eye Primer: MAC Pro Long Wear Paint Pot in Laying Low! Next is a MAC Paint Pot I do love and that is in Laying Low. I understand that people say Soft Ocher and Painterly are the best due to how well shadows lay on top since yellow tones and whites are the best for using eye shadow bases. What I find it interesting is that creamy beige also works out since NYX does have a beige eye base. I decided to try this out since I wanted to rotate the colors to see how it goes and it does work out very well. After putting on my shadows, it does give a smooth base and you do see the shadows very well. I think this made my shadows pop out more even when I did the Valentine’s Day look this year. I would say try it out if you don’t want to go for the other two since beige can Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back to Nerdy SHique Universe!
