The Subscription Satelite: Ipsy Glam Bag Plus March 2020

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I got one more subscription box!

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus March 2020!

This box was disappointing and I will get into it once I start writing about each item! This box is the next one up from the regular Glam Bag and its $25 a month and you get full-size items from many high end and luxury brands and even independent ones while you’re at it! Let’s see what I got and what I need to say!

The Balm Cosmetics Auto Balm Shadow Pallet in Pic Perf: Let me say this in why my box was disappointing. This month with it being the hundredth bag for the regular bag I did get six items but half of them were the wrong item and this was one of them since it was my choice item. As you know I get to choose one of my products every month and I chose this eye shadow pallet. It has seven shades including a black eye primer to darken the shadows to make them smoky. I did not get this because they sent me the other Auto Balm pallet which was a blush pallet called Cheeks to Go. I knew something was up because I looked at the description for the shadow pallet. I was mad even with how Seeing A. I. told me each item that was wrong. I am waiting for the replacement for this shadow pallet so I can try it. This shadow pallet retails for $26.50!
Phase Zero Makeup Liquid Lipstick in Under Cover: Next up is one of my products I did get and it’s from Phase Zero. I got these guys in a bundle and of course as Add-Ons and glad to get one of their liquid lipsticks in this box. This is a mauve rose color that claims to stay in place once it dries down and doesn’t smear all over even while drinking. I am putting it to the test with today with friends visiting and it was pretty smooth to apply and very lightweight which I was surprised. Let’s see how it goes and I will let you know in my Review Roundup! This retails for $16!
Glam Glow Tropical Exfoliating Daily Cleanser: Next up is another item from Glam Glow and don’t worry me did get this in my box too! This is a 2-in-1 cleanser made with tropical fruit particles like pomegranate seeds, tropical fruit enzymes, and fruit extracts. Also purple clay is used to help with deep cleaning the pores too. This is also paraben and silicon free. I do need another exfoliating cleanser since my Murad one is my only other one left that I got in my big haul box from Ipsy during November and can’t wait to see what this does with my face since I do use it twice a week. This retails for $34.
The Coffee Scrub Coconut Scrub in Coconut: Next is an item they screwed up on and that is the Coconut Body Scrub from Coffee Scrub! I started getting into body scrubs all thanks to this one since it is supposed to help with getting the moisture in your skin by scrubbing off the dead skin and even dry patches which I got the new HEMPZ Sandalwood & Herb Scrub from Ulta. Guess what they gave instead? The HEMPZ Body Moisturizer in Pineapple! I know this sucks which one thing that annoys me about the body moisturizers from HEMPZ is that they are really thick, I had a hard time pumping the sensitive skin one when I first got it which I think they should be in large tubes like the scrubs in my opinion or in tubs. Anyways, I am waiting on my replacement since I heard the packaging is supposed to be an envelope and that is what I didn’t get. I also heard this scrub is famous for clogging the drain which we have one of those drain sifters to catch hair and other things so I will see if it will catch the scrub which the HEMPZ one dissolves pretty well. This retails for $21!
Complex Culture Precision Concealer Brush: Next is another brush from Complex Culture and glad they sent this to me too. It is a precision concealer brush and I find this interesting because it looks like a triangular paint brush! Not kidding! You can create stamps with this but you can use it under your eyes, the side of your nose and the corners of your face! I will be using this to blend my concealer or just use powder on my under eyes since I tend to do that before my entire face with a big powder brush and do like the feel of these bristles! This brush retails for $26.
Seraphine Botanicals Luna Liner: Final item that is also screwed up in shipping out my box is the Seraphine Luna Liner in black. What did they send me instead? The Hey Honey Concealer for Under Eyes in Light Medium! I love Hey Honey since I did enjoy the moisturizer from my Glam Bag but this was a big oops on Ipsy’s part because they know I was supposed to get another black liner with claims of being smudge proof. They said it’s a liquid but I have to see how the packaging is like since I tend not to use liquid liners due to how bad they run back in my ye olden days of makeup. I do use the precision liner brushes to put liquid liner on which I did with the Wet N Wild Midnight Mermaid liners as an example. I will use the concealer though since I want to try more Hey Honey items. This liner does retail for $18.

When it comes to add-ons, I did pick up another Violet Voss Fun Size Pallet and it’s the Crème Broulle one and it is due to how I like the other two I picked up this way and glad to see another one available. I did get the Illumasqua Hydro Veil Primer because I also enjoyed it and how moisturizing it felt. And the final one is the Maulle Beauty Essential Brush Set as well since it’s something I do enjoy which is brush sets. This is a five brush set. Glad that they sent these as well. My overall review though after this box I felt that I can’t believe after having it for almost a year that this happened which half of the items were wrong. Hoping with next month going forward this doesn’t happen again. I am not the only one who had this done to them because I saw someone on YouTube having their BoxyCharm items switched out for other things too which I don’t get how that happens. Ipsy, if you’re reading this, pay attention to people’s profiles with the items they get each month. I think it was someone who packed mine and got everything mixed and thought I was getting these three items instead of the ones I am supposed to get. Again hoping April is better.

That is it guys for this post! Next up will be my review on RWBY Volume 7! Stay tuned!

THe Subscription Satelite: BoxyCharm March 2020!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another post!

BoxyCharm March 2020!

Now it’s time for my BoxyCharm for this month! This box is $25 a month and you get from prestige all the way to luxury products ranging from ones you find in the store to independent brands. You also get to choose a product every month for this box! Let’s see what I got this month!

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture for Eyes: First up is a product from Murad and it’s my choice item! This is the Murad Ultimate Moisture for Eyes which is an eye cream that helps with fine lines and wrinkles and has a blend of hyrolonic acid and algae extracts to moisturize the eye area and great for sensitive skin. When I saw this as a choice item I had to try it since the other item happened to be a curling wand and sorry my hair is already curly so don’t need that. I have had pretty good experiences with Murad since they are well known for being good for sensitive skin and I believe it. I am still using the AHA and BHA scrub in my shower and have used up the Essential C Moisturizer and now get to try this out. This retails for $70!
Hank & Henry Living In Color Pallet: This month there were three shadow pallets and they were the Tarte Tartist ReMix Pallet, the BoxyCharm Hello Charmer Pallet, and this one the Hank & Henry Living In Color Pallet. I’ve heard of this brand and I got the eyeliner in my box a few months back but didn’t like it due to how the chisel tip was not working out for me but glad to get this pallet! This is a nine pan pallet that is inspired by both the 90s and 2000s and it can be worn on their own. I have to see what shades are in this pallet to see if I want to do certain looks with it. This retails for $27.
Pharmacy Very Cherry Cleansing Balm: Next is a product from Pharmacy and it’s their Very Cherry Cleansing Balm. I have used the Green Clean and got that as add-ons with my Ipsy and this time I got this version which is the cherry one in this subscription. Like the Green Clean it takes and melts makeup off leaving skin silky smooth and moisturized. When I tried the Green Clean my second time I noticed how my eyes stung a little bit which I am hoping this doesn’t happen with this one so I have to see how it goes! Glad to get another makeup cleansing item so I won’t have to stock up so soon! This item retails for $34!
Vintage by. Jessica Libersteind in Pink Sequin: Next is a lip gloss from a brand I’ve never heard of and it’s Vintage by Jessica Libersteind and the lip gloss is in Pink Sequin. This gloss is a sheer and glittery formula that you can wear alone or on top of other lip products. I prefer using a sheer lip gloss over other colors to give it a pop since my lips are a bit on the natural side and have to see how well it pairs with lipstick or liquid lipstick. This item retails for $25.
Project Beauty Haircut Almond Honey Intense Hair Yogurt Hair Mask: Final item is a hair mask from Project Beauty! I haven’t gotten a hair mask in so long since I’ve stopped using them especially when at certain times of the year I tend to get dandruff scabs even when the spring starts and have to start using the dandruff shampoo again. Which I have to do that right now and so far it’s doing okay. Anyways, this is another brand I’ve never heard of and this makes is made with yogurt protein, probiotics, kinwa, botanical and shea butters to help repair the hair. I will definitely use this since I do sometimes feel a little bit of dryness and can help strengthen my hair a bit. This retails for $10 which is not too bad!

Well guys that is it for this box! This was a pretty good box and glad I didn’t get anything from KVD Vegan Beauty. I know she is no longer with her brand but it still has her initials and you know my stance towards her lip products which are too drying for my liking. I’m glad to try out a new hair mask, a new lip gloss, the cherry version of Pharmacy’s cleansing balm, and of course something new from Murad which I do have some eye creams I am going through right now. I’m also glad to try another thing from Hank & Henry too since the eyeliner was not my favorite so I will definitely give them a chance with this pallet. I did select my choice for April and can’t wait to see what they give me for that since it’s an eye shadow pallet from Zoava and never tried them before. I hope BoxyCharm also gives me the card next month since I contacted them about that and no answer. I may have to bug them on Instagram or Facebook. Next will be GB Plus which I’m mad about and had to contact Ipsy about it too, just stay tuned guys!

Also, in case anyone has been following Nerdy SHique Transmissions, I haven’t done an episode last week due to what had happened to Omni Fandom Expo so I will be doing another and will give my thoughts on Corona Virus myself since now we are going into lock down too at work. Stay tuned for that episode.

The Subscription Satelite: Ipsy Glam Bag March 2020

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! Business is going as usual so let’s get started!

Ipsy Glam Bag March 2020!

It’s that time again and its subscription time! I just got all three of my subscriptions this weekend and starting off with the Glam Bag! This bag is $12 a month and this month is the hundredth bag that Ipsy has sent to people and we get six items this month in this bag. Let’s see what I got this month!

Hanalei Company Kukui Lip Balm in Island Mint: First up is a lip balm from a brand I have seen on Ipsy for a while and that is Hanalei. This brand uses ingredients from Hawaii and this lip balm contains kukui oil and coconut oil and of course has mint. I have tried this lip balm once already and the thing is mint is very drying for the lips apparently and even Jen Luv’s Reviews talked about lip balms last winter and mentioned mint being a drying ingredient. I was a bit worried because before getting this item in my mail box with my bag I did have a Peppermint lip balm from Suzanne Somers that my fiancé’s mom gave me and that was so drying even putting it on was hard since it was so dry in the pan and even drying on my lips. I did not find this item too bad but I have to keep wearing it and will tell you guys in my Subscription Round Up next month!
Girlactic Ink Liner in Black: Next is a pen eyeliner from Girlactic this time and now I am getting tired of getting black eyeliner. I do like getting these pen liners in my bag don’t get me wrong but I want to try other colors too so I went into my quiz on the day I got my spoilers and changed the Black option for liners to “Sometimes” and hoping it would work for next month. This like with others do have a matte finish when this brand is known for glittery products. I will see how this goes!
Hey Honey: Relax Propalus and Honey Smoothing Moisturizer: Next is another product from Hey Honey and this time it’s a moisturizer. I did get their eye cream with propalus extract in December I think and this time I got a moisturizer with this ingredient. I am using it in my daily makeup routine since I do moisturize before I put on makeup and well I was going to take this with me to Omni since it is a nice travel size and fits nicely in my new makeup case for travel but due to what happened with postponing the convention why not try it out since I have to give a review for points and help with matching items in next month’s bag. So far I did like how well it went on since of course honey is mainly sticky but it wasn’t that sticky and of course you have propalus. I bet you’re wondering what this ingredient is. It’s basically made from bee saliva to help build the hives and Cleopatra did use this when she was queen to keep her skin glowing when this ingredient is used to help with soothing skin alongside honey to help with acne and other irritation with the skin. Also, this moisturizer does have aloe for added moisture. I will have to update you guys with how this moisturizer goes since my skin lately has been having small break outs but not as bad as before so let’s see how it goes!
Complex Culture All Over Shadow Brush: Next is an eye shadow brush and my choice item from Complex Culture. I had a hard time choosing a product from the list and decided on this due to how much I love brushes! This is a densely packed brush that fits any eye shape and size which I can feel it does have the right size to be used. It also can be used to put shadow all over the lid, putting it in the crease even highlight inner corners. I have to try this brush out since I do put on makeup before work and see how well it applies.
Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Mother Nature #05: Next is my first product from Naked Cosmetics in my Glam Bag! I was eyeing this brand for a while and remembered getting add-ons from this brand. I did try the shadow I got once and it is much pigmented and normally they are known for doing loose shadows but this one is a pressed one. This is a champagne shade that can be worn day to night and even for work. This can be put on with a finger but I prefer a brush since my fingers can be too big for the eye area. This brand is known for all natural ingredients and no harsh ones like talc. I guess I have to keep using this brand and see how this shadow goes!
Sugar Cosmetics Uptown Curl Curling and Lengthening Mascara: Final item is a mascara from Sugar Cosmetics! I love this brand since I did get their eyeliner and just finished it not too long ago. This. This has a creamy and ultra-fiber formula and the brush is supposed to be able to reach the hard to reach lashes to make them fluttery, long and thick. I have to try this mascara out and then let you know in April!

Well guys that is it for this Glam Bag! So far so good it’s been a great month for this bag since Ipsy is celebrating its hundredth bag. I didn’t know about Ipsy until Eleventh Gorgeous talked about them and I wanted to join so badly and did and used my dad’s bank account to get this subscription service but now after getting back into since I missed it so much I decided to get back into it and used my own funds to do so and glad I have a job to get this again. I have tried so many products and brands through it and what I like about it is that they give new brands that haven’t been tried before and even independent brands we can find online. I remembered that every month so many people complained about their profile not being matched with what they marked and that the colors didn’t suit them. I did get some misses but I did swap with someone I knew on Facebook and enjoyed my stuff even more since they have gotten better when I re-subscribed. I can’t wait what April brings since so far they’ve been hitting out of the park. I am waiting on news from Ipsy now since well I got my GB Plus and I got wrong items in it so may have to wait until they replace my items with my correct items. So next will be BoxyCharm! Until next time!

The Convention Quadrant: John Tui Experience from RangerStop 7!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another post!

John Tui Experience from RangerStop 7

Well guys, it is time for the second to last video and that is the John Tui Panel from last year’s RangerStop. I bet you’re wondering why I didn’t interview him. Well, the thing was when we ask him for one he told us to drop by his panel on that Sunday which we were allowed to ask any questions that way rather than a one on one interview since he was also super busy that weekend. It’s understandable and we were cool with it and did appeared. I did get to ask a question but it was the very last question. And very lucky with that.

What was the question? Well, I was inspired by Dan Southworth with this one and now to turn back time to when I went to AFO 2010 when Tobi and I were meeting Reuben to get things signed and I heard Dan go, “Nice golf club!” Towards my cane and told him what it was. To be fair it was short and the table went up to my grip so he couldn’t see the length. A few years later he ended up playing the character Kenshi in the Mortal Kombat web series and his character was blind. Interesting that one of my favorite rangers got to play a blind character and lately I do agree that blind people should play themselves in media roles but Dan was a sighted actor to get that chance. I decided to ask John if he were to get the opportunity, would you play a blind character. I figured with how awesome he was as Doggie Kruger on S. P. D. and yet the Japanese are still finding the costume awesome he had to wear by the way, I thought it would be interesting what he would say for his answer which I accepted.

And now for a serious note! I am not sure if you guys have heard but Omni Fandom Expo has been postponed. As everyone has heard that the Corona Virus has been all over the news and new cases have appeared even here on the coast during Bike Week. Omni was ready to keep going but due to circumstances they have decided with the hotel and the city of Kissimmee that it has to be pushed back. It sucks but understandable since this is a big issue for everyone even if so many are panicking at the moment but I would have to say is that please wash your hands guys, use hand sanitizer when you can’t reach a sink, also use anti-bacterial wipes need be since I was prepared for Omni since I’m having a shipment of camping grade wipes from Amazon arriving this weekend but what can we do? Just do what the C. D. C. says and even stay home if you’re having any cold symptoms yourself because this is a contagious virus. Yes some people have died from it but all I have to say with the right care you will get through it. Anyone affected by this please go to your nearest hospital and stat! I would say don’t let it get worse if you’re really feeling sick. Anyways, everyone stay safe out there and of course wash your hands. Now we have to wait for new dates for this convention and hoping we can make it since we have a lot to bring you to this blog. I will keep you all updated on the new dates and anything changes.

I will be doing my post on my Ipsy Glam Bag so stay tuned guys! Next panel is the final one and that is the Mighty Morphen panel! Stay tuned!

The Convention Quadrant: Power Rangers In Space & Lost Galaxy Panel from RangerStop 7!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another video!

Power Rangers In Space and Lost Galaxy Panel from RangerStop 7!

Continuing with the RangerStop panel videos for you all! This is the Power Rangers in Space and Lost Galaxy panel since these are two of my top favorite seasons in the entire run of Power Rangers. And yes it’s partly due to having space in their names! I did ask a question and that is to Christopher Kayman Lee and wishing Melody Perkins was also there to answer too because it would have been a fun answer from her and that is who would win a fight? Andros or Karone? Because it made sense since they both were rangers themselves even though Kerone became Lost Galaxy Pink the next season. I will ask her that if she does come back for another year if we do press again and I have met her and she is a complete sweetheart by the way. Christopher did answer my question so just enjoy what he has to say and I do have to say this panel did bring my love for both seasons back since In Space did end the Zordon era but it did bring new villains as time goes on and newer teams to take on that evil even with the start of Lost Galaxy and of course we had the man made Light Speed Rescue team. Anyways enjoy the video!

That is it for this post! I am going to try and post the rest of these videos in time for Omni Fandom Expo since we did have to get these edited and rendered for you all and this time we won’t rely on phones which did bring some delays on two videos so it’s all video cameras from here on out! And of course, make sure you listen for Nerdy Shique Transmissions this week because I will be doing an episode talking about my experiences at Omni over the years it has been a convention and of course I do recommend going! I am still waiting on my box subscriptions to arrive so stay tuned for everything! Oh right! Another RWBY review to come soon!

The Book Quadrant: P Is For Pluto by. Jackie Kingon

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with a long awaited book review!

P Is for Pluto by. Jackie Kingon

Disclaimer: This book review is based on thoughts and opinions of the lead writer of this blog. Please respect her thoughts and opinions! Thank you!

Molly’s Bistro is opening on Pluto and just as she is about to head out there to make sure things are going according to plan her new chef is murdered! She heads for Pluto with her best friend Jersey to crack the case alongside a relaxed police force who is on the job. While finding culprits, she notices that most of the people on the planet looks alike and she even gets confused as a clone herself while being kidnapped. Will she be able to find who killed her chef and be able to open her restaurant in time?

Thoughts: I think this has been my favorite book so far from Jackie Kingon. I felt the same science fiction and humor from Sherlock Mars in this one due to how she always gets in so much trouble like most of the characters in the first one. My favorite part would be when she first meets her clones and she had amnesia on top of it and had to help them make her most famous desserts from her restaurant but only remembered her chocolate chip cookie recipe which sounded so good to me. It was very enjoyable and did see the same interactions with Jersey that I enjoyed before even when Trenton shows up. I do find it interesting how androids seem to have bad gambling addictions at casinos if they’re not careful, even one good example is the character April May who was turned into one and a video shown her and her sister arguing about her addiction. I did find it more interesting how cloning is so big on Pluto and how they told the history about it from Earth and how they implemented it over time on the planet since of course it being controversial on Earth why not do it somewhere else? I did like the scenes with the hatchery since we got to know how Pluto used it over many centuries. It did give an interesting perspective on the case because of how the chef was killed not only with the original but the clones too which kind of shown that someone didn’t want the chef working at Molly’s Bistro on Pluto in the first place. What I also liked that was brought back from Sherlock Mars was of course the mysterious messages Molly has gotten to stay out of the case and just go home. During the last one the person threatening her caused so-called accidents like having Becky’s and Burton’s wedding attire floating in space on the way to the wedding location for example. Here it was mainly going after Molly and her life or getting her mixed up in weird situations that she couldn’t get close to what was going on which makes the book more intriguing as each page turned in the Kindle app.

Rating: 5 Shooting Star Paw Prints Out of 5! I felt that this book was a great sequel to Sherlock Mars because it brought back some of the elements I have enjoyed while reading it. It did bring back the humor even though I felt like I laughed a little more while reading this one. I did like how they made Pluto as different from Mars as in not only having so many clones inhabiting the planet along with androids but also the food. On Mars, according to the books, the food is so fresh, the ingredients are grown all over the planet, and you have tons of great restaurants to choose from while Pluto, on the other hand, the food is really bland, to get really fresh ingredients you have to go to special locations, and also trade for some items too. Not only that, also get used to the odd flavors of the food you eat, I mean Jersey did and it took Molly some time even before her family shown up. I still find it funny how Courtland, her husband, just didn’t want to touch the food despite how normal it looked and find it weird how Molly enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see if Kingon will write another book in this series because I’ve been enjoying it so much and hoping I get to see what may happen with Jupiter since that is my favorite planet after all.

Well guys that is it for this post! I’m glad to get it up finally because I’ve been really busy and trying to get some rest in between due to being exhausted every week but it is part of life when you’re working an eight to five job after all. I am reading the series that the next couple of books on my NetGalley shelf are on so stay tuned for those reviews and of course I am waiting on my subscriptions to arrive and we do have Omni Fandom Expo coming up this month and don’t worry I will get the rest of the RangerStop panels up for you all! Until next time!

The Subscription Satelite: January & February 2020 Review Round Up!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe. I’m back with another post!

January & February Subscription Round Up!

I know I was going to do my review on a book but have been running a little behind with posts so bear with me! I decided to do this first since this is the end of the month after all! I did say I was going to start doing this with telling you guys what are my thoughts on each box for every two months!

BoxyCharm: First starting off with BoxyCharm and I have to say that the first month of the year it came off strong with the makeup items. I was able to create a full face with the Ace pallet, the Wonder Beauty Blush and Bronzer Duo, and the Too Faced Highlighter, and the Mana Kadar lip gloss, even though that ran out pretty quickly since it felt like there was not enough product in the tube. I felt it dried a bit too much and that I felt it was not that great and threw it out. The sleeping mask from Advent was okay, I felt like I didn’t get too much moisture and it kind of stung while I put it on. I am not sure if it’s due to the amount of skin care I use or my skin is not ready for a product like it but it did make my skin sting a lot while putting it on every night and was okay for the rest of the night. I think skin care that costs over a hundred dollars is not as cracked up to be when people keep on saying the most money you should be spending is on skin care alone. I’m sorry but I spend drugstore prices and $25 for one moisturizer and I’m good all around! Plus, all the sheet mask packs I get from Ipsy are around $15 so I don’t have to spend so much. I did enjoy the other three items though, people did like the look I create with the Vintage Dawn pallet from Ace since I was doing a pretty neutral look with it alongside the Trip for Two Duo from Wonder and the Too Faced Highlighter. I hope that they keep doing the same idea for more boxes like this because it works!
February, on the other hand, I got more skin care products than makeup which I’m not too mad but the only thing that sucked were the hemp wipes I got in the box. Those did not clean off my makeup like they were supposed to since I notice my mascara, even my Lash Princess Waterproof, stay behind and yes I do go in with the First Aid Beauty Pads but I needed more cleansing when it came to my makeup afterwards. The brand Evio should make these better as in make them moister or make the hemp stronger to make them able to clean off makeup. So, I have used them to wipe my brushes while using them. The First Aid Facial Pads are pretty good in case if you’re wondering. I do use them after cleaning my makeup off and then shower. I may have to start buying these! I did start using the Ciate London powder since I finished up another and man it smells good and it does set the face really well! I feel great after blending my powder and it does stay well all day even after spraying it with the setting spray. I haven’t used the Becca foundation yet but will eventually! I do have to talk about the Alomar brushes because I have found that people on what’s up in Makeup group had issues using these actually. According to some people they aren’t able to blend their makeup very well but I’ve been having really good luck with mine. I’m not sure if it’s due to products other people have been using or it’s what they’re using them for but I had no issue controlling my makeup application. I guess I have to keep on using these!

Next up is Ipsy since it would be easier to talk about the base bag. I didn’t use the nail polish I got in January’s bag yet because I didn’t have any time to do my nails. January and February have been busy months for me so it was hard to find a night to do my nails. I did use the other items though! I used up the Hempz Moisturizer but what I found off about it is that it’s so thick it’s hard to squeeze out even towards the end of the bottle. I have the Sensitive Skin one since Ulta does sell their products and still had the dry patches and wanted to try that formula it was hard to pump out at first since it came with a pump. I don’t think I will re-purchase because they make it so thick that it’s hard to get out of any container they put it in even with a pump so not spending my money again on their stuff even if it’s travel size. I did enjoy the Nomad shadow and the Ofra highlighter and of course I do use the Finding Ferdinand lipstick sample since it’s always in my makeup bag whenever I wear it at work and need to touch up.
February had it strong though with the Colored Rain lipstick! This is a great lipstick and now see why people liked this one because all I have to do is dab it on and go on with my day! I just put a little sometimes and just go with it because it just goes on smoothly. I did find it annoying is that it was seen as a Chinese dupe. If you’re not in the know but recently Not So Evil Stepmother talked about how BoxyCharm had a Chinese dupe of the Fairy Tale Cosmetics pallet in their December box and it had “Made in the PRC” which means the People’s Republic of China. She went on to say that these items were made in BoxyCharm’s labs in China to make the surplus of product they need but wrong! Sometimes a brand has their products made in China to meet demand even if made in the U. S. She mentioned how this lipstick was one of those and she mentioned how these products did not perform as their original counterparts. This product stayed on my lips and did have to apply again after eating something but that’s normal with any lipstick out there. I will buy another tube of this product and see what happens when I do since these aren’t really expensive. I haven’t used the hand cream though since I’ve still have some tubes of it being used, I have used the powder brush though and enjoying it. While the shadow, I felt it was a little dry but it did go on well pretty well since I did use it in my inner corners. While the face primer from IT Cosmetics, it was nice but I feel that it needed to be a bigger product because it was so tiny that I was done in two uses! I had more uses with the Tarte Shape Tape Primer when I had that sample though. I think I gave it a lower score than usual.

Glam Bag Plus: Now finally Glam Bag Plus! January’s bag was really good since I’ve enjoyed using every single product! I was surprised with the sheet masks from Duft & Doft because I thought I got two but they were two packs of three in each so I got six! Man Ipsy you spoiled me with these! I did use two so far and they have been working out with my face and not too harsh of an ingredient mix either. I have also been enjoying the Brow Kit from Billion Dollar Brows and no it’s not as bad as the Brow Bar Pallet I got in my December BoxyCharm. My brows feel like my brows with this one. It’s an easy to use kit and the brush is even really soft once I get the gel in to set everything. I did notice more items to choose from from this in March’s box but I didn’t select the pomades because I want to see if they give me one anyways. Let’s see how that goes. The eyeliner from Sugar was really good as well. I’ve been using it for work and I’ve had an easy time applying the liner when I use it. And the Huda pallet in Ruby is pigmented as the others I’ve used from her shadow pallets. I hope they keep giving these out since they are a great product and it’s a great brand!
Like with January, I did get more sheet masks in my February GB Plus. This time it’s from Avette and I felt like it did sting a little when I wore one of the masks since I got four of them. I notice some of my masks do sting a little because they’re working into my skin as the timer is running but I do leave these on a bit longer than expected since my skin’s so dry and needs that extra hydration. I do use sheet masks twice a week where I do it on Tuesday and at the end of the week to heal my skin after a long work week. I will have to keep using these and hoping to get more masks in this bag or my regular one. I did put the Inkliner from Il Makiage in my rotation to see how well it works on my eyes while I got to use my Sweater Weather pallet yesterday and those were really good shadows. The Laruce brushes have been working out pretty well with what I’ve been using them with. And with the Murad moisturizer I have to say it’s been working out for me very well. How so? Well, after my GB Plus post I decided to try it out without makeup and then with it on top to see how my skin reacts. Without makeup it didn’t get irritated at all which was a good sign. It didn’t get irritated either when I put makeup on and set it with my setting spray and even went outside to get the sun which worked out really well. So far so good my skin is liking this product but the price point is not making me want to buy it but I will try others if they’re meant for my skin type. And oh right, forgot about the Jules Smith lip glosses from January! So far I have finished one and enjoyed it but wishing there was more product in the tube since I’ve been liking it.

Well guys that is my round up on the boxes for January and February! So far so good the first two months for all three have been going great. I feel like with Ipsy in the choices for March though were kind of lacking so had to choose something that I would like. I will see what they picked for the rest of my bag since GB Plus was a quick one for me. I am looking at the BoxyCharm website for now on because since I don’t get the emails but I do watch it like a hawk so I won’t miss choosing something. I did get something since one item was a curling iron but I only go for flat irons since my hair is already curly. If I have to give it to one box for these two months I would say GB Plus because I felt their products were really good with what they’ve given me and I was almost skeptical with the Murad Moisturizer but it did work out in the end. I will have to see what March and April bring for these three! I will have the book review next! Sorry for being behind but things did happen over time. Until next time!
