Subscription Satelite: March & April 2020 Review Round Up

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another post!

Subscription Review Round Up: March & April 2020

It is time for my subscription round up for March and April and man I feel like GB Plus has kind of lost its mark these two months which I will get into once I get to it. Let me start with BoxyCharm!

Disclaimer: This Review Round Up is based on thoughts on the items I received in my boxes and how I feel about them. I am very honest with my experiences so please don’t get mad if you enjoyed these products. Thank you!

BoxyCharm: I feel like Boxy has done very well for itself for March and April but I did have one pet peeve item arrive during this month. I did set aside my Murad Ultra Moisture for Eyes which I will not say the entire name, don’t get why skin care brands have extended names for items, since I am still using my E. L. F. one at the moment and have another eye item in rotation once that’s done. I haven’t used my Hank & Henry pallet as of yet, I did contact them for a pallet description and no answer yet which I may have to contact them again. Farmacy is still unopened since I still have a pack of makeup wipes unopened but will get to this when I am done with those. The Vintage by Jessica lip gloss was good but I did not like the brush. It kept on folding in on itself and I had a hard time putting the wand back into its tube. I prefer doe foot applicators over brush ones any day. And finally the Project Beauty Hair Yogurt Mask did feel good on my hair and it did smell very good. I wished there was more product since my hair was growing a bit slightly and of course it was pretty thick and had to put a lot on to use this product. Hey, at least I got to use it!

April was good until one item and that is that they sent me lashes! You know my stance on them and here is the thing with getting these. If BoxyCharm was looking at people’s profiles and what they marked for certain products, for instance when they looked for people’s skin type for the Benefit Porefessional this month, they should have paid attention to what everyone else has marked or not. I did double check my quiz and on the tools question I marked everything EXCEPT lashes. I know everyone will say that they make your look pretty but wearing them over time damages your actual lashes due to pulling them off every night and also I did not know this but they do block out your eye look and if I went through the hassle of trying a new pallet and blended to my heart’s content and put lashes what’s the point? And another thing is that we have mascaras that do the length, do the volume, and some of them even help with lash growth. So that is one step I don’t do. I was happy with the Benefit Porefessional which is the hydrating one which they did pay attention to me marking dry skin which I do have. I am using my newer E. L. F. Putty Face Primer which I do enjoy due to how creamy it is and I will start using the Benefit one when I am done with that one. The brushes I did enjoy which I prefer using these for more of the smaller areas of my eyes rather than going all over. They are nice but they are small in comparison to the brushes I use in my brush pouch. I will still use these though but for mainly a precise crease and my brow bone. I did enjoy the Zoeva pallet I’ve also received and it was perfect for my complexion. So many people over in What’s Up in Make Up loved my looks that I did with it. Also using the Iconic London Illuminator was pretty good since it was really easy to blend after spreading it with my finger. I just dabbed a little bit and used my highlighting brush from Alamar and there I go!

Ipsy: March and April were also really good for Ipsy Glam Bag and March was the hundredth bag celebration and we got six items and went back to five in April!

I did enjoy the Hanalei lip balm in peppermint and all I have to say is that despite the mint in this product it did moisturize my lips! It’s a lot better than the Suzanne Somers lip balm my soon=to=be-mother-in-law gave me which was also mint but the issue I had with that one is that it never went on my lips unlike this one it went very well on my lips since it was in a stick. Its interesting know that mint is not the best ingredient in lip balms but hey at least this was a good one. With the Girlactic liner I just put it with my work makeup and sorry to say I am getting tired of getting black eyeliner in my boxes. I do love a good black liner but I do like to use colorful ones to match my eye looks time to time and wondering what had happened. I mean Boxy got two colorful liners and wishing I got those instead and they were in pink and blue and wondering what is going on Ipsy! I know black is a universal color that can be worn with any look but you need to get back into the variety game since years ago you gave out other colors. I did enjoy the Hey Honey Propalus Moisturizer since I didn’t go to Omni due to what is going on in the world. It felt really cooling on my skin and I did trade my points in for another tube which I will talk about that with GB Plus and wishing it was not so pricey. Hoping it does go on the 21 Days of Beauty in September! I also enjoyed the Complex Culture All Over Eye Brush when packing on shadow all over my lids. It is very soft for a brush and it does help with blending as I go. But I do feel that it is too big for the crease so that is why it’s a lid brush. The Naked Cosmetics Mother Nature Pigment was okay in my book. I think I felt that I had to dip in twice since it did say it’s best to apply with fingers but with our current situation I needed a brush for this thing. I do have some of the loose pigments around in my room so I will be using those! And finally for this bag is the Sugar Cosmetics Uptown Curl mascara and man this knows how to curl my lashes! I do have this with my work mascaras because I do enjoy a nice curl time to time and it does separate my lashes very well. I hope to try more mascaras from Sugar Cosmetics since they are a pretty good brand and have been enjoying what I’ve tried so far by them.

April is back to five items and man I felt that this was a really exciting bag with what I got! First is the Nomad Cosmetics Tuscany Intense Eye Shadow in Aperitivo was something I was excited about since it was my choice item. I have been enjoying this brand and they are the nicest people on the planet! I’ve been talking with one of the founders since I have been tagging them on Instagram with any looks with their items even with the Berlin Underground pallet and they do love to travel and I can see why the brand is known for being named after destinations. This shadow is from their Tuscany Intense nine shadow pallet which I did purchase for a video I want to do spotlighting this brand since my next choice for May in GB Plus is from this brand too. I won’t reveal it until that arrives. I love how this shadow did go on really smoothly and I do love how they use oils in their shadows as well which I think this was made with grape seed oil but it was a smooth shadow. I am glad I did purchase the pallet and I did get two face items since they did release a new New York Collection to donate to charities helping with the world situation right now. They even have done donations towards the Australian Bush Fires this past year in their summer in Australia. Anyways, glad to get this! I got another item from murad which is their Nutrient Charged Water Gel which feels really good on the skin! I use this on my face before makeup so it would soak in while I put on my eye shadow and gives it time to settle in as I go. I hope this will be on the next 21 Days of Beauty because with what I’ve been trying out from Murad I’ve been liking a lot and I find it better to purchase it half-off rather than full price during the sales at Ulta because you feel that you’re getting good skin care even with sensitive skin and you’re not going into the territory of Sunday Riley prices either. Plus this sample is lasting me pretty well because I don’t need too much for an application. I have enjoyed the LoveCraft lipstick in Fausta because it does go on smooth and I feel like it stays put on my lips and it is just so comfortable to wear! I wish most lipsticks were like this one because I feel how drying most of them can be and it feels so uncomfortable after applying some of them. Next is a brush from Ariceli which I feel like it was really scratchy. When I use a blending brush I expect it being soft as I put shadow on my eyes but this one it felt like straw as I put on the Nomad shadow. I think they should improve this brush and hoping if I get more brushes from these guys that they aren’t as scratchy either. And finally I am really happy that I got a bronzer and it’s from Space Case Cosmetics and I loved this bronzer and how well it applies. It almost feels like a Super Shock item from Colour Pop but it is more on the powder side. It is pretty compact in its packaging and glad that I got to get this and hoping I get more bronzers in my Glam Bag because this is the only one I got so far ever since I got back into Ipsy in 2018. So don’t stop sending bronzers! I put “Love It!” For the do you like bronzer’s question.

Glam Bag Plus: March was disappointing and April was a huge road trip for it. March was the same as the Glam Bag where I got six items as well and here was the weird thing about it. Three of the items I got were right and the other three were switched out for some reason for different products and got replacements. The items that were right were the Glam Glow Tropical Cleanser, which I just started using and it smells nice, the Phase Zero Liquid Lipstick which ran out pretty fast, and the Complex Culture Concealer Brush which was a huge triangle shaped brush head that felt like it wouldn’t fit anywhere. I used it for my under eye powder because I felt it was better to do that than just trying to put concealer. Speaking of which, the items that were wrong happened to be the Hey Honey Concealer in Light to Medium which is not so bad, the Balm Girl Powder Blush Pallet which was good even though I chose the eye shadow pallet not this, and the HEMPZ Body Moisturizer in Pineapple which I always notice when it gets to a certain level in the travel size it is hard to squeeze. I did end up getting the items I was supposed to get and the Coffee Scrub which was messy but it was effective in what it did which helped with some of my dry patches. The Pic Perf pallet was really good where the shadows were really pigmented and the primer was better than that crappy E. L. F. Putty Eye Primer and of course god got another eyeliner. I don’t get why they didn’t say, “Wait a minute!” When they were putting together my box. When I sent the email I explained what was missing and even shown screen shots and was asked what I was missing and had to tell them again.

April was a road trip! When it got to Orlando it was close to drop off date and saw that tracking took it to opposite of my part of the state and caused them to send it back to Daytona and then Jacksonville and then to me! I’ve been living at the same address for close to two years and this happens. Apparently was an error on DHL’s half and my post office according to Ipsy. I did get everything right and have been enjoying the items. I used the eyeliner from Tarte and no bleeding! I did enjoy the blush and highlighter pallet which was easy to use where the blushes were on the bottom and the highlighters were on top. The Ciate mascara did feel good but need to have a habit of putting the lash primer, my lashes did look and feel full with it on though! The Crème Rose did feel good on my legs and slightly helping with the dryness even though the scales are kind of there. I do admit when I squeeze I get too much product and wishing it was in a tub rather than a tube because I think I would need more than just a big dollop with how much dryness I am going through to this day. Hoping to get more lotions as time goes on because having lotions time to time in these boxes does help and give an idea of what’s out there. And of course the lipstick! It looks amazing on me from what so many people have said. I did post a picture yesterday of me who did a look with the blush and highlighter pallet, the lipstick, the eyeliner, and the Zephyr pallet from Eleman and everyone liked it and someone said that Brick should be my signature color due to how it looks with my skin tone. When I was job searching and starting to work I did wear a Rimmel lip gloss close to the color of this shade. I will be definitely keep this in my makeup bag and do love the comfort of this lipstick! I did put a sticker to mark this tube to show what which one it is whenever I need to get another one.

That is it for the review on the products. I would have to say that the Glam Bag kind of beat the other two in my opinion. How so? Well, I feel like that the items were catered to my profile very well for both months even with the choices in how they were built around them. Also, I got to try another Murad product and another Hey Honey product on top of it. Also, I feel like they didn’t throw an item I didn’t like like with the lashes in Boxy this month or screw up the items like with my March GB Plus. I know not all brands are perfect but I feel that should have done better. Now hoping next month I won’t get any lashes nor have any of my subscriptions take a road trip across the state before I get it and get squished on top of that. Next post will be a new Accessibility post! Stay tuned!

Skin Care Quadrant: The One Pack One Day Sheet Mask Try On!

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I have a different post before my Subscription Review Round Up!

Trying Out Sheet Masks for Seven Days!

I wanted to write my experience with this and that is using sheet masks every day for one week. No this was not a challenge from anyone it was basically something I read in Allure Magazine.

I tend to get emails from Allure with articles that are interesting and sometimes kind of weird but I do tap on the more interesting ones that caught my kitty curiosity and one in particular that was recent during my time at home was about using sheet masks for an entire week. The article was about how a K Pop performer gets her skin looking good before performances by putting a sheet mask on every day for a month to keep her skin dewy and even a Read It person from Korea has done the same thing. This got Allure to ask dermatologists about it and they said its fine but watch out for certain ingredients which is a bit of a big thing here in the states where everyone has different skin types that can’t take all of the harsh ingredients. One of these ingredients is glycolic acid and along with other exfoliating ingredients it can cause irritation. I remembered my masks mainly contained the hyrolonic acid I tend to hear about here and there and you already know I have a ton of sheet masks in my disposal. So, I decided to try out the One Day One Pack last week!

Sunday: Sunday I was using one of my purple broccoli masks I got in a duo pack from Ipsy, most of these masks did come from Ipsy Offers and it was a nice start. As you guys know I go through dry and sensitive skin and this hasn’t bothered my skin at all. It did give nice hydration after taking it off and felt fine. In the article it did say if you have sensitive skin it would help out so after reading this article it did have me start after this mask.
Monday: Monday and Tuesday was a back to back with this brand that is with Rael Beauty. I got two different ones and they are bamboo masks and the one I used for this day was the Hydrating Masks that has pineapple extracts in it. I was glad to have this one since I can get a little bit on the drier side near my T-Zone and this one has a really nice scent to it. Plus I don’t feel the mask on either.
Tuesday: After using the Rael Hydration Mask I used the Purifying Mask. I felt that I had to use these two up since I felt I had these a bit longer than most of the ones I already have and I tend to reach these a lot but they are meant for more oily skin people which I did feel a slight irritation with this one. This has Tea Tree Oil so that is why it felt a little irritating on the skin. I haven’t felt it much when I first started using these. I think I have one more to use or maybe more than that and just have one more of the Hydrating ones.
Wednesday: I ended up getting my Ipsy Offer that had stuff for skin and one item for hair which I will be using the hair wrap for my hair wash nights thank you! The bundle came with one sheet mask and it’s from Naisture and it’s their Lovely Strawberry Mask which helps balance oil and moisture with ascorbic acids to keep skin healthy. It did help my skin with some moisture but most of the time while having it on though it felt like it dried a bit too fast since I don’t put it for fifteen minutes I do twenty to thirty for a better experience. I also noticed it didn’t really smell like strawberry either. As in it had no scent to it really, it was just a moisturizing mask. I think I have other masks from this brand since I have so many masks from Ipsy and have bought so many of them last year but this one is not a re-purchase or maybe they sent me one that was probably bottom of the barrel. Wait a second! I checked online for this one and it apparently is meant for oily and combination skin, I can see why it didn’t help much! Wishing that it was a different mask because this one didn’t help much except with a slight moisture.
Thursday: I finally opened my other 7 Days Mask Set because I finished a box of these I think two weeks earlier. I got these towards the end of 2019 I believe and they feel so good on the skin! They have different ones and the one I used on this night was the avocado mask and it does smell like if you juiced an avocado! I love avocados even as guacamole and it is really good for the skin and hair. Heck, Lush did make a bath bomb with the extracts for this fruit. It did moisturize my skin a lot more than the Naisture Strawberry one from Wednesday and it was very cooling too. Glad I got to open these after a bit!
Friday: Friday was a new one that I purchased and that is from Purlisse. As you know I am a fan of Jennifer Yen’s skin care brand due to how it helps sensitive skin people due to how she has the same skin type and that heavy stage makeup, especially on Light Speed Rescue, caused her skin to break out horribly and she started using her grandmother’s skin remedies and green tea is one of those! I picked up from Ipsy a bundle that has six green tea masks and the green tea face primer for makeup and glad to try this sheet mask because I wanted to try them after purchasing them. All I have to say is that this mask feels so good! I felt like I wasn’t wearing a mask with this one since it felt very light. Also it did smell like green tea you tend to get at an Asian market. As in actual tea! Also it did do what it was supposed to do by moisturizing my face and felt plump. If you have sensitive skin like me and need a brand, I would suggest trying these masks. I have to see their prices because this brand can be a bit pricey so I would say get the discounts on Ipsy’s website.
Saturday: the last one is the Tony Moley I Am Real Green Tea Sheet Mask! I know having another green tea one after the Purlisse mask was weird but it was the first one that came out of a huge zip lock bag where I put a lot of loose masks in my cabinet. This is a layering mask whereat has little patches to put in some areas and then place the actual mask on top. I did put two of the patches on my under eyes and then the actual mask. It does feel soothing and moisturizing and very cooling. Great thing is that you can put these into the refrigerator for extra cooling effects. I am waiting on a cactus one to try out since that has prickly pear extract.

Thoughts: After using these masks it was a way of trying out different formulas of masks to get a feeling of how my skin would feel. The Naisture mask in Lovely Strawberry did some moisturizing but not by much. It did dry up a bit quickly and wishing this one did a bit more to my skin except it was meant for oily skin. I did enjoy the Rael Hydrating mask, the Purlisse Green Tea, the Tony Moley Green Tea, and the Purple Broccoli ones while the Rael Purifying was a little irritating.

I do have to say is that this experience was interesting because I never thought wearing a mask every day for a month would help skin become dewy and of course no more break outs with zits. I have sensitive skin so my skin reacts differently depending on what gets used on it. I will be taking a break from masks this week because I feel that it did help with some moisture but I can’t do this all the time. Yes, it’s important to take care of the skin but you also have to be careful with ingredients and what makes the skin happy and mad. So, I will have my skin calm down and have it rest until next Sunday.

That is about it guys! If you want to do this week with sheet masks go on ahead and see how it reacts with your skin because some people tend to react to different masks in different ways. I will be back with the subscription round up, don’t worry! Until next time! Stay beautiful!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag Plus April 2020

Hello to all you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Sorry for not posting for a few days, I was suffering from a mild ear infection and ache so I am back now with a new post!

Glam Bag Plus April 2020!

It is finally here after seeing things in tracking. I live on the coast of Florida and have been living in the same area for almost two years and what happened was that my GB Plus ended up in a town opposite from where I live when it left Orlando and when it said it had a Missent it then went back to the post office in Daytona and then back to Jacksonville which I was afraid it would be sent back to NC where the DHL origin was in but nope it made it here in my paws. And it was a bit squished. Don’t get why this happened when I got my GB Plus in time in the past and came to my actual address just fine but this month it decided to take a road trip. Hoping next month it doesn’t happen again since I chose something totally awesome which is for a future video so stay tuned! So, this bag is $25 a month you get more full size items ranging from indie, prestige, to luxury and it can be skin care, makeup, and tools. Let’s see what I got!

Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick in Brick: First is my choice item! I chose the Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick in Brick because I love these lipsticks so much! Plus brick reds look good on me! I think I may have bought this during a 21 Days of Beauty or maybe it was a different red I forget but these lipsticks are very comfortable and they don’t feel dry on the lips and they do stay put very well. I prefer that in a liquid lipstick since I have some in the past that made me look like Live Action Harley Quin since her makeup was smeared all over and not all about that. Even at work when I wore Havana Nights and of course in my interview videos last year during Omni that ran all over my face! I did toss that one but anyways if yo0u guys want to try this line I highly recommend and you can get them at Ulta for around $18 or just wait for another 21 Days when they are on sale because you can get more at once that way.
Cela Crème Rose the Very Best Cream Rose: Next is a rose lotion, which I will refer to this as with Cela Rose Lotion. When I saw this and the claims to help dry and flaky skin I rejoiced! It helped my legs a little bit but have to keep on applying because my dry scales are still around. I am so glad to get lotions in this bag because it does help every time during the year. Plus it comes in a nicely sealed tube. Even though when I first smelled it it was a big punch of rose but it did smell sweeter which I heard it also contains jasmine flowers in it which is a nice scent in my nose. Glad to get this hoping for more lotions!
Ciate London Triple Shot Mascara in Triple XXL Black: Yay! Another Ciate item and this time it’s a mascara! I have been enjoying things from this brand and haven’t been disappointed except for my highlighter stick I got in an Offer breaking that’s about it. I’m glad to try out their mascara this time since so far I have tried out their powder, highlighters, I think a liquid shadow which has been a forever ago, and a few lip items and getting a mascara has been a great choice this time. This claims to give you full volume and length with the innovative flower shaped brush which I am holding to that claim thank you very much! Also staying put without flaking which also I will hold to that claim! Can’t wait to try it!
Shaina B. Miami Mini Blush & Highlight Pallet: Next is something I almost chose and that is from Shaina B. which is the Mini Blush and Highlighter Pallet. Even though if I had not chosen anything there are times I get one of the items I wanted to choose in my box anyways. Glad I did with this one since I do enjoy face pallets for an easy application. This comes with two matte blushes and two highlighters that have a lot of pigment and of course gives you that just visited Miami feel. I will put that to the test since I have been to Miami for my eye specialist and yes it’s hot but sweating is not cute. I will take this item and give it a try.
Tarte Tartist Double Take Eyeliner in Black: Again with the black eyeliner! I am sorry, I want a different color Ipsy! This has two ends where one end is a liquid liner and the other is a clay based gel tip liner. I heard this does bleed a little so I may have to be careful so I will not be putting this with my work makeup, I am just going to put it with my regular makeup to just use it with my at home looks or hanging with friends. And I want to say this, what happened to the colored eyeliners Ipsy? I remembered the last one I got that was a different color was the gold one from Avon and no more after that. I remembered when I first got back to Ipsy I got a purple one finished that one, which was the Sugar Cosmetics pencil in Purple Rain. I even remembered there were blue pencils, even green, brown sometimes if you’re lucky but I feel like it’s all about black liners. I did put send me black liners as Sometimes because I’m getting bored of them and want a blue time to time. Please?

Well guys that is it for this post! Sorry for the complaint towards the end but still I will use the liner anyways. I am glad for the blush and highlighter pallet and of course more Dose of Colors lipsticks in my collection! I can’t wait for next month’s bag because I did choose something I will be doing a video on that brand since I am now obsessing over them a bit which I am going to do a podcast episode on brands I’ve been enjoying so far from Subscriptions this coming week because I didn’t do one last night due to my ear and also the Final Fantasy VII Remake my fiancé has been playing. So next up is my subscription round up for these two months so stay tuned this week!

Favorites Quadrant: First Quarter 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another post!

First Quarter Favorites 2020!

It’s time for the first quarter favorites. As you probably have seen at the end of last year that I was going to do quarterly favorites instead of bi-monthly favorites this year. It’s kind of stressful and easier to talk about my favorites and what I’ve been using and what I think! Let’s get into it!

Not-So-Favorite: E. L. F. Putty Eye Shadow Primer: First is not much of a fave because it sucked! The E. L. F. Putty Eye Primer was it this time around! For a little while now I’ve been using the Poreless Putty Primer which I got in my final Allure Beauty Box and remembered how Jeffree Starr said this was approved by him and everyone bought it out everywhere as in everywhere sold out until now which you can buy again. I was able to find it at my local Target which was good. When I saw that they have an eye shadow primer I decided to pick it up and when I used it it was not my favorite. It was so dry I was afraid that my shadow was not showing. I even asked the Collective Brain at What’s up in Makeup and people experienced the same thing except the rose one. I did not go further to try this because I was so done with it and I have tried better eye primers, heck the Lorac one that came with their Pro Pallets is better than this one. I would say use your favorite eye primer guys because this was not worth it!

Favorite Moisturizer: Tony Moley Choc Choc Green Tea moisturizer: Next is from Tony Moley and have been enjoying what I’ve been using from them and this is one of them and that is their Choc Choc Green Tea Moisturizer. I use this at night to keep my face moisturized even before putting on my makeup and this feels really cooling to the skin. I was hoping to use the smaller tube I got in a bundle from Ipsy which I got Green Tea Sheet Masks, this and the the hand cream and like I said hoped to use it during Omni but with what’s going on in the world I have it with my daily makeup case. I will definitely buy this again since it doesn’t cost too much, it is almost the same price as Celestial from Lush except I get more moisture from this and green tea does have a lot of skin benefits.
Second Favorite Moisturizer: Murad Essential C Moisturizer! Another favorite is the Murad Essential C Moisturizer and glad to try it all thanks to GB Plus. I am glad that I’m getting to try out Murad all thanks to them and glad that 21 Days of Beauty put Murad on sale and this was one of the items on sale during this past one for half off and to tell you the truth is that this is the first SPF item I enjoy. As you know I have sensitive skin and sometimes SPF infused skin care and makeup doesn’t work out for me. First time this happened was with the Paula’s Choice Moisturizer with SPF 20 from my Ipsy August 2014 and my skin even hated the IT Cosmetics CC Cream I tried later due to the SPF. I was worried that it would do the same with this one and I decided to try it without makeup on top and it worked out and then the next day for work I had it underneath makeup and no break outs! It helps that this brand is meant for sensitive skin types like me and I can see why Grav3yard Girl loves this brand and I am enjoying it since I did get another tube of their AHA & BHA Cleanser I also tried all thanks to GB Plus and it was also on sale during 21 Days. I hope the Water Gel is in the next one which I say if you are curious to try Murad after what I have tried wait for the 21 Days of Beauty sale because it goes half off during that time at Ulta because this brand is very pricey even was surprised that this moisturizer is $60. Ow! Again wait for the 21 Days of Beauty for Murad’s sales.

Favorite Cleanser: Tony Moley Foaming Peach Cleanser! Next is a cleanser and that is from Tony Moley again but this time it’s their Peach Foaming Cleanser from their peach line! This fits the claims because it is really gentle on the skin, it foams and feels as good on the skin as it does and it smells amazing! I have tried the Peach Cleansing Sherbet but it is not as good as the Foaming Cleanser. I will definitely keep on buying this even on sale since I did go through the President’s Day special where it was Buy One Get One Half Off I believe but it was worth it and will keep me stocked. So far so good Tony Moley has been great on my skin and they are really sensitive skin friendly!

Favorite Body Scrub: HEMPZ Herbal Body Scrub! Next is a body scrub which is a first. Since the end of last year my legs have been dry and itchy for a long while and even developed scaly bits on my legs. I tried everything even layering body lotions until this popped up in one of my Ulta emails and that is that HEMPZ had new items including an herbal body scrub and had to try it. I noticed it because I was getting a coffee body scrub in GB Plus and figured it would help with my legs and it is helping out. My skin is losing some of the dryness at a slow rate but it is helping as time goes on. Skin care doesn’t work overnight so at least it is helping getting the scales off and I am not itchy anymore which is good. Yay! Will keep on using though.

Favorite Face Primer: E. L. F. Poreless Putty Primer! Like I mentioned above I’ve been using the E. L. F. Poreless Putty Face Primer lately. I’ve been enjoying the creaminess and how much my makeup stays on top. It does have a hard application with my Cover Girl Clean Makeup since I have to wet my sponge to spread it all over a bit more to get a better application. I don’t get why this product is creamier than the Putty Eye Primer? Okay E. L. F., whatever you did with this primer with the creamy consistency add it to the eye version because it needs it!

Favorite New Mascara: Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara! Lately I’ve been wearing more mascara to work because I became allergic to my Holy Grail Lash Gel and Brow Gel duo from E. L. F. the past couple of months and then switched to lash primers and mascaras which has been helping with application and not causing me any adverse effects. I am still trying out lash primers to see how they go but the mascara I’ve been enjoying is the Flower Beauty Lash Warrior Mascara. This makes my lashes look amazing every time I wear it to work. I even worn it when I just put makeup at home. I miss wearing stuff from Flower Beauty and should keep on using this brand.

Favorite Face Pallet: Wonder Beauty Trip for Two Blush & Bronzer Duo! Next up is the Trip Two from Wonder Beauty. There are times where I reach for this and use it since it is easy to use. The bronzer is on the right and the blush is on the left and just dip brushes in and it’s good enough to travel with due to how small it is. Glad that I got this in one of my subscriptions because it’s easy to reach when I want to use one face pallet for my looks.

Favorite Highlighter: Colour Pop Stick in Peach! Last makeup item goes to the Color Pop Highlighter Sticks in Peach. When I was looking for a peach highlighter I found this one and found it amazing! Not only that when I wore it back in December to a party a friend did comment how my skin looked with this on. It is amazing and very smooth to get onto the cheeks. At first it was a bit rough but now it’s easier to get on. I hope this doesn’t get discontinued by Color Pop because it’s a good product and I enjoy it!

Favorite Book Series Thus Far: Playful Brides Series by Valerie Bowman! One of the books I’ve been reading leading up to the one I need to review is in the series called the Playful Brides. It’s a historical fiction series and I’ve been enjoying what I’ve been reading so far. It’s cute and the girls like Lucy, Cassandra, and now Jane are enjoyable. I am on book three where Jane is having her time to shine and it’s cute so far since she wants to be a spinster but she’s getting involved with a scandal. I have to keep on reading and don’t worry I will reach the book I need to review soon!

Favorite Song: “About a Voyage” by Sayori! I’ve been getting this song stuck in my head ever since Season 4 of My Hero Academia was being dubbed and it’s called “About a Voyage.” It’s very catchy and the funny thing is that the opening bars sound so innocent but when it starts that’s when it changes to an all-out rock song! I did download it and it’s on my phone and do play it when it gets in my head. Got to love how anime gets the catchiest songs!

Favorite Clothes Item: My Hero Academia Chibi Skater Skirt and United States of Smash Tour Long-Sleeved Shirt! Speaking of My Hero Academia! I do love this outfit and that is my chibi character skirt and my United States of Smash Tour shirt of All Might and the states that had smashes he has done. I even worn it to the second movie premiere back in February. This is what happens when I become a major fan of a series.
So guys that ends this favorites post! I think I prefer doing this because it gives me more time to try more things and bring it back to you guys in this post! I hope you all enjoyed it and can’t wait to bring new things to the next Quarterly Favorites in August! I should be getting my GB Plus Tuesday so stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: BoxyCharm April 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Now it’s time for another subscription!

BoxyCharm April 2020

My BoxyCharm arrived the other day and sorry for not posting it right away due to suffering from an ear infection which has been also causing me migraines so I am trying to do the best I can during this time. So, this box is the Base Box which costs $25 and some places have this taxed which here in Florida it’s one of those places and you do get five full-size makeup, skin care, and beauty tools for the price of $175 or more. You get a lot of luxury, prestige, and even independent brands in this one. Let’s see what I got this month!

Benefit Porefessional Hydrating Primer: First up is from Benefit and everyone got this one or the original and that is the Benefit Porefessional Hydrating Primer. I heard so many good things about the original and was glad to find out that these guys are in this month’s box and glad to try this item out even in the formula for my skin. It claims that this primer hydrates and smooths out the face and keeps makeup on. Plus it does have the same oil-free formula as the original. I can’t wait to try this out since I still have another Putty Primer waiting to be opened. This retails for $32!
Zoeva Eye Shadow Pallet in Blank Fusion: Next is a pallet from a brand I’ve been interested in since I heard of them on YouTube and they are Zoeva! I was a curious little kitty when it came to them. When I heard they were going to be in this month’s box I was excited and was happier that they were in Choice! As in you got to choose between this and two Elemis products. I chose this and bought the Elemis Vegetable Hydrating Juice as my add-on. The shadow pallet they sent me was the one in Blank Fusion and it contains ten shades which are highly pigmented and blendable. Plus these are made with Vitamin E. I can’t wait to try this pallet out since this has more of darker browns and some white shades since they are supposed to be smoky colors in this one. I can’t wait to try this. This pallet retails for $28.
Iconic London Illuminator: Next is a product by Iconic London which everyone got and it’s their Illuminator. This is a super concentrated liquid highlighter that can be used in foundation, moisturizer, or primer for a Dewey glow or on its own on the cheeks as a highlighter. With every drop of this it is supposed to glide on smoothly. I have to try this out either on its own or with my primer because it sounds interesting. This thing retails for $41!
Lavish 15 Piece Neon Brush Collection: Next is a small bundle of brushes which this looks like it is a sample of their fifteen brush set? I tried finding it online but no findings except this small five piece set. This set is with the essential brushes for eyes and agree with it. This retails for $29.99.
Baddington Lashes Harlowe 3D Lashes: Finally…a pair of lashes…which I will be giving to Rayne! If you’re new here and don’t know that I’m not a fan of false lashes because over time due to the glue it will damage the follicles on your natural lashes. Jen from Jen Luv’s Reviews had to stop wearing them for a little while because she had to grow them back. Plus, according to Rayne they do hide your eye look! Okay, if I work so hard on doing my eye makeup why do I want to hide it? The last time I got lashes in my box I marked “No.” When I got the question, “Do you like lashes?” And of course on the quiz for my profile I didn’t mark them under Beauty Tools and hoped not to get them. Apparently when I contacted BoxyCharm about this they said they don’t send the same product twice if you didn’t mark it and they gave me extra charms to use in the store but it’s closed and did have to tell them about that. I was hoping they sent me the Dose of Colors Lipstick because I love that brand! Again these are going to someone else who would use these and hoping I never ever ever ever ever get lashes again!

Well that’s it for this box! I will definitely use the other products in this box because I love brushes, I get to try out Zoeva finally, and of course the Iconic London Illuminator which people rave about and finally get to see what the Benefit primer is all about. I am waiting on my GB Plus because it just got shipped today and hoping it gets here before Ipsy’s Choice Day since that will be around the 24th as always. Until next guys! Stay beautiful!

The Subscription Satelite: Ipsy Glam Bag April 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe and Happy Easter! I have a new post and happy about it!

Ipsy Glam Bag April 2020

Got my Glam Bag yesterday in the mail and thought I would get it earlier but due to how everyone’s shopping online it’s taking a bit to get my items in. I’m even waiting for my Glam Bag Plus to ship and my BoxyCharm didn’t ship until around last Thursday or Friday. This bag is $12 a month and you get deluxe and sometimes full-size items ranging from prestige brands to skin care! You also get to customize one item, buy add-ons, and a makeup bag! Let’s see what I got!

Nomad Cosmetics Tuscany Intense Eye Shadow in Aperitivo: First is my choice item and it’s from Nomad Cosmetics. I am loving this brand so far and glad to choose this because the color caught my interest over the other choices. It’s a shimmery rose quartz shade that I can wear from day to night. I definitely want to wear this shade since I do love their eye shadows due to how pigmented they are and they are made with grape seed oil in a few of them. I can’t wait to try this out!
Murad Nutrient Charged Water Gel: Next is another product from Murad and it’s their Nutrient Charged Water Gel. I’m so glad to try another product from them since I’ve gotten two items during Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty and it’s best to buy these guys during that time because this brand is not cheap! When I got my bag yesterday I decided to try this before I shot a video since I do moisturize before putting on makeup and they are right on the description about being lightweight! It wasn’t greasy and it just felt cooling to my skin. It claims to have five minerals, five five vitamins, and five peptids that help balance skin and retain moisture. Also, it’s gentle on all skin types without causing irritation which it didn’t actually. You can also wear this under SPF Actually. I hope to see this on the 21 Days of Beauty sale for Fall because this is $60 and would like to get it for half off, just saying!
LoveCraft Beauty Lipstick in Fausta: Next is a lipstick from LoveCraft Beauty! I remembered my first item I got through add-ons from these guys was a blush pallet and they are pretty good. The color I got this month is in Fausta which is a warm beige nude. This has a satin finish that give a matte and comfortable wear which I’m hoping it does. I can’t wait to try this out
Araceli Beauty Chiquita Blending Brush: Next is a brand I never heard of before and that Araceli Beauty and I received a blending brush from them known as the Chiquita Blending Brush and they’re not kidding. It is pretty small. This brush is a Do-It-All brush with a small oval head to blend color into the eyes. The bristles are made with nano-synthetic fibers and this brand was started by Mexican born Araceli and she does fun and innovative tutorials in Spanish. With her brand she is bringing two things to attention which are her culture and her love for beauty. Which is what we need more of and I could see why the Spanish word for small was used for this brush. I can’t wait to try this brush and hoping to see more of her brand in this subscription.
Space Case Cosmetics Fakecation Bronzer: Final item is from Space Case Cosmetics! Finally a bronzer in my bag since I was wondering about getting these in my bag and not only that in the right shade. I am lighter to medium and need a lighter bronzer not a dark one. I’ve tried this brand before and even have a few shadows and nail polishes from them. I used a lavender polish and it went on pretty smooth and their shadows are smooth, also their highlighters are pretty good. This is a smooth, powder bronzer would give the right kind of radiance to the skin. These products actually feel more like a cream and they dry to a powder but they are smooth. You can wear it all over for the subtle glow it gives but I do only contour the sides of my cheeks rather than my face. Plus it’s not streaky either. I will definitely put this to the test to see how it goes. Hoping it does look good!

Now onto add-ons! I did buy another Space Case item and that is their Seen from Space Highlighter in 1A! I do have one other highlighter and loved the formula which I’m glad to try more from this brand and I should use my eye shadows from them too. And the other item is from IBY and that is their Enlighten Eye Shadow Pallet. This is a colorful pastel pallet with twenty shades which caught my eye and this was in their Ultimate box. I don’t get Ultimate because I’ve heard bad reviews about it and that it was just okay so I just stick with Glam Bag and GB Plus. I have to get the shade names and colors to be able to use this pallet!

Well that completes this post and happy with what I got! I’m happy to try out more Murad since I’ve been having good luck with their products so far Nomad Cosmetics Tuscanny Intense Eye Shadow PalletMurad Nutrient Charged Water GelLovecraft Beauty Lipstick in FaustaAraceli Beauty Chiquita Blending Brushand can’t wait to see if the Nutrient Water Gel will be on sale during the next 21 Days of Beauty
Space Case Cosmetics Items
IBY Beauty Enlighten Palletlike with the AHA & BHA Cleanser and the Essential C Moisturizer. Glad to try more items from Space Case and now a new brand with a brush. I’m waiting for my GB Plus to be shipped which should be this week but I am waiting on BoxyCharm to arrive to see what I got in there and they do have their choice coming up this week. Hope you all are all safe like I am since Florida’s under lock down and don’t forget to check out Nerdy SHique Transmissions while you’re at it! Until next time! Stay beautiful!

The Convention Quadrant: Mighty Morphen Panel from RangerStop 7!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I hope you all are safe. I have been suffering from major allergies since yesterday and my ears have been stuffy so I’m trying to get better. Anyways, now onto the post!

Mighty Morphen Panel from RangerStop 7!

Now it’s the final panel video and it was worth the wait and it’s the Mighty Morphen Panel from last year’s RangerStop.

I remembered being seven years old and watching Saturday morning cartoons and once those were finished on Fox I see a witch come out a dumpster and doing it to a metal riff doing her signature, “At last after 10,000 years I’m free! It’s time to conquer Earth!” Then talking head goes, “Alpha! Call on five teenagers with attitude!” At that age you see this and my thoughts are, “This is so cool!” And I was hooked like many kids at that age in the early 90’s and loved every minute of it. This panel did and the entire convention did bring those memories back to me because of remembering all the times I watched Power Rangers and how even girls can kick butt like the guys was amazing. Heck, I did enjoy all the episodes with Lord Zedd since he was awesome. Besides the nostalgia for this series, it was great to hear the cast talking about their memories of being on the set, their favorite episodes, and how fun they had getting to be heroes on a kids show. Gondras did get to go up and ask our holiday memory question since it was close to the holidays after all and you will get to hear the answers since I did record that bit on my phone, sorry for having it so low. Don’t worry for RangerStop 8 and hoping if we get up to Atlanta for the new RangerStop Pop Convention in Atlanta we will have our brand spanking new video camera and tripod! So enjoy the video!

Well guys that is it for this post and all of our RangerStop 7 footage! I loved every minute of being at the convention and it was great to meet the people who made the casts for each seasons so great and hear their stories. Hoping that we get to go to Atlanta next year since now the new dates are in March for that one and it is the twentieth anniversary for Time Force! Yes, it is my all-time favorite season, can’t help it! And also hoping to do this year’s Orlando Convention in November! I want to thank the RangerStop staff for putting on a great convention and glad we got to cover it and hope we continue with it! Thank you from all of us at Nerdy Shique Universe!

The Web Series Quadrant: RWBY Volume 7 Review!Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! It’s time for my long awaited review of this!

RWBY Volume 7 Review!

Disclaimer: This review is based on thoughts and observations of the lead writer of this blog! Please respect her thoughts because she has different opinions from people on YouTube. You have been warned!

I know the seventh volume of RWBY ended in February but due to work and the CoVid19 pandemic rising I didn’t get the chance to do it. I finally got to sit down and re-watch the season and here we go!

Team RWBY arrives in Atlas to not so open arms. All thanks to the ship they arrived on being seen as stolen they are welcomed by Ace Operatives who are an elite group of huntsmen and huntresses appointed by General Ironwood. Despite the cold welcome, they are warmly welcomed by an old friend who was presumed dead since the Vital Festival, Penny. Once meeting up with Ironwood again they are now given new jobs to work with the Ace Operatives to be seen as trusted and handed their licenses and in on a secret expansion of Amity Stadium to help reunite everyone in Remnant. Even though Ironwood wants to keep this a secret danger arises when Dr. Watts and Teri an come to Atlas to cause trouble for him and try to frame Penny and not only that cause disruption in an election for the Council Head between Jacques Schni and Robin Hill. Besides the troubles in Mantle, Weiss has come back home to not only a cold shoulder from her father but a warm hug from her sister Winter and that her sister may take on the powers of the Winter Maiden since times have gotten worse since Ironwood is trying to find ways of protecting Atlas and Mantle from another attack by Salem. Will they be able to keep her away or will the Grimm and Salem’s allies be able to take down Ironwood his friends including Team RWBY?

Thoughts: This was a better volume because it did continue from where Volume 6 left off and felt like it was a better story. Even though Volume 6 had some added back story but here it felt like it brought back what we enjoyed with the early volumes of RWBY or at least me. I have been noticing people on YouTube have been complaining about some parts of this volume and I agree a little bit and disagree with most of it. How so?

Penny: First off Penny was brought back and I was hoping to see her returning after what had happened to her in Volume 3. Some people think she should have stayed dead but to me I had a feeling that she would be back at some point and this is where she did return since Atlas was where she was created. Got to remember folks, Atlas is known for their military, tech, and dust mining in the world of Remnant and being able to bring her back was not hard even though it was revealed later that someone’s aura was used to help her be brought back. Hey, you have to get it from somewhere. Even though she was treated as the protector of the city but we did get to see more of her in a newer light this time since I kind of felt like despite being able to hang with Ruby and the gang during the Vital Festival she was able to hang out with them again this time but as a helper. She did help with the enemies in this and even with the Winter Maiden, which I will touch upon later, but I did like how she was brought back for this volume and I did like her from the start. I wonder how she will play in the next volume after I talk about the Maiden role this time.

Ironwood: With all the things that have taken place I did notice that Ironwood did show that he was pretty mistrusting towards a lot of people. Yes, he did keep a huge secret and yes he was trying to do it to protect everyone but he was acting very rash in order to do that. I did notice it when Team RWBY and the rest of JNPR meeting up with him that he was holding a brave front but inside you can tell that he is afraid of what may happen if he tries to trust anyone. As in how is he able to share his trust with Qrow this time? How will he trust Team RWBY? Will he be able to trust Oscar since he is the newest Ozpen reincarnate? It made the story seem to flow smoothly until the end when everything started to fail when he noticed that things are starting to fall apart as in that even though his team of Ace Operatives were the strongest but there was something that made them vulnerable and open to the enemy. I also did like Oscar’s philosophical talks with Ironwood in this one because he was able to try and reason with him knowing that Ozpen could say the same to him since the theme here is fear and that everyone, including Ironwood, has it and it’s hard to escape from it even when Salem is the one bringing it. I wonder how it will continue in the next volume with Ironwood since someone did say he was going to be on the death list next but who knows how that will play out.

Team RWBY: I felt that this volume made them stronger because not only they were able to get newer weapons, also new looks, but also trained by the Ace Operatives. I also feel like their personalities also improved. Some people were ragging on how Yang was not the same as she was from the first volume, especially looking out for Ruby, which I kind of see it but I am also noticing it’s that Ruby has grown up and same with Yang after she had lost her arm in Volume 3 and found out that her mom, Raven, is the Spring Maiden and that they can still work together but at the same time can make themselves stronger when working on their own. On top of that, I noticed how Ruby has taken more of a leader stance since she is the title character after all and since the past few volumes it didn’t feel that way but since the change and now knowing what Salem is capable of she needed to step up! I did like how she gave orders in how to handle the dinner party Weiss’ father was putting together and the election was probably rigged and that she had Weiss go in to find that evidence to prove it. Plus, she did step up when Ironwood was starting to break under the pressure towards the end of the volume. Despite what others think I feel that she has gotten stronger and same with Weiss since she wasn’t too happy about coming back to Atlas but she had to with her team. I did like how she stood up to her father towards the beginning of the volume since he noticed how she cared for her friends but said that they are family to her. I did find it interesting how her mother, on the other hand, pointed to her that she left Whitley, her brother, alone. I have feeling that may play into the story somehow but we will see! Blake, let me see, I have noticed this volume she has become more out spoken since Volume 5! She did get a new bold hair cut but she did have a change in personality even around Yang since now it looks like they’re dating. Yes! Even though she did have that fight with Adam towards the end of last volume which I am seeing that she is starting to get over it and becoming better as the volume rolls on.

Winter Maiden: In this volume we get to meet the Winter Maiden finally and her name is Freya. Unlike the spring and Fall Maidens losing their lives young, Freya has reached her old age and this time she needs to pass her power on and it ended in an interesting way. Sorry for spoiler’s people but if you have not seen this volume I would say watch before you read! At first Winter was ordered by Ironwood to take the power since he thought it would be able to help her be able to use the Staff of Creation but unfortunately due to Cinder getting in the way the power went to someone else! It was Penny who ended up with the power.

I decided to go back to the Maidens Wiki to see if my hunch was correct about what had happened and it was which Freya gave her the power. I find it interesting though because isn’t Penny an artificial human with a soul? I even remembered that the way the power is passed onto another young woman is that either they are in the dying maiden’s thoughts or the maiden deems them worthy. With Raven it was out of nowhere while Cinder took it on due to greed, with Penny, on the other hand, I felt that Freya knew that cinder was not the one but waiting for someone else who was worthy and that was Penny. I think Freya noticed the aura inside of her and that it was pure and passed it onto her and I found this interesting since now we have her as Winter, Raven as Spring who is a bandit, and Cinder who took the Fall powers, I wonder what about Summer?

Thoughts on Summer: This brought me to this point since I kind of have been wondering like a few others on who might be the Summer Maiden? She hasn’t been revealed yet since now the circumstances with Salem are changing and things are getting worse. My thought is that did Salem kidnap her? It is a possibility because during the second to last episode she brought up Ruby’s mom and of course her name is Summer. I am wondering could she be alive and did she kidnap her? Because up to this point I remembered Ruby mentioning that her mom didn’t come back from her final mission and there is a possibility she may have had a run in with Salem. I am not sure if she had the Summer powers but if she did then it may have been passed on or Salem would have taken them since she wants the Maiden Relics in the first place. Either or I am hoping we can see the Summer Maiden next volume or if my theory would be partially right. Let’s see how that happens!

What Do I Want to See in Volume 8? Where to start? Definitely Summer Maiden because of how things are going down and I feel as though she may make an appearance or my thoughts may be the idea of how it will be revealed. And of course seeing how Penny deals with her now new position of Winter Maiden. I have a feeling that Ironwood won’t like it since he was hoping Winter would take them on. Also, this will still bug me since I feel like it was forgotten, the dreams of Pyhra coming back since those appeared in Volume 4 and hoping to get to see if those appear again if they are still a message.

Rating: 5 Shooting Star Paws Out of 5! I know I didn’t get to put a real rating but this deserves the five because it did continue the story from the last volume. Some people have been talking about the negatives and how this series is not the same as we remembered. Yes, Vol. 4 and 5 seemed to be the filler volumes and it did drag the story a bit not focus on Ruby herself but I feel that 6 and 7 fixed the story since we got to see some back story behind Remnant and what Salem is planning and that we got to see how badly Ironwood is afraid but didn’t want to show it and tried to make things safe but there was an opening for things to go bad. Plus it did bring back an old character and it built our favorite characters up to be better in this one so I feel that the story is stronger and it will get stronger, hopefully, with the next volume.

Also, I want to give major props to Christina V. as Robin since she did a really job playing this character during this volume. She did an amazing performance and I enjoyed every chapter of it!

Well guys that is it for this review! Sorry if I haven’t given this blog much love since of course we are going through a major pandemic and times gotten busy after all. I will get back to here and of course I do have the podcast to do on top of it. And then of course I do have one more RangerStop video to put here and that will be next! Until next time!
