Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag October 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new post!

Ipsy Glam Bag October 2020

I’m sorry for taking a bit in posting this since things have been hectic lately so I am sitting down to do this post! This is the original Glam Bag that sends sample sizes of products from different brands ranging from drugstore all the way to independent brands. This is $12 a month and you get five of these samples. Let’s see what I got this month!

IT Cosmetics Lash Blow Out Salon Mascara: First up is a mascara from IT Cosmetics. I remembered using the Roller Lash mascara from these guys and prefer the Rimmel dupe over that one but this one, on the other hand, is different and I feel my lashes staying put and has a better curl. I have been using this for work and it does stay all day even with my Tarte Stage One Primer. I wish I can buy a full-size of this one since I am enjoying it so far!

Oryza Astral Amethyst Eye Shadow: Next is a shadow quad from Oryza. I’m glad to get another quad from these guys and this time it’s more of a metallic purple quad. I can’t wait to try this one out since I hardly get any purple shadows as much nowadays but glad that Ipsy is trying to branch out with different shadow products, they should keep on giving out quads like this because they’re perfect for travel and any work days to have a fast eye look with.

Pistache Skin Care Whipped Pistachio Body Butter: next up is a product from Pistache. I heard of this brand since other people have received their products in their bags and glad to get them this time since I do have dry skin and with a sample size like this I just use it on my hands. This claims to have a cookie smell and it has Vitamin E and fatty acids to help with moisturization and algae to help with restoring skin and soaking into the skin faster. I have to try this out and see how it goes!

SL Miss Glam P40 Round Blush Brush: Next is my choice item and that is from SL Miss Glam again. This time it’s the P40 Round Blush Brush. I love getting brushes from this brand, especially for the face since I feel like I have more eye brushes than face brushes when it comes to getting them in subscriptions. This feels more like a highlighter brush though since it is pretty small since I always tend to use more of an angled blush brush when I apply blush to my cheekbones. This brush can put on dry and wet products and even bronzer which that’s interesting. I will have to give this brush a go!

The Balm Will Powder Blush in Perseverance: Final item is a blush from the Balm Cosmetics. I think Ipsy realized that I chose a blush brush and wanted to pair it with a blush which is a good idea in my book since it can be handy for on the go moments. This blush is a skin brightening blush but what I finding it interesting is that when I reviewed this item it did ask me about highlighters and saw in someone’s review saying it’s better as a blush topper. I will have to see this goes since nice I do love blushes!

Well, that is it for this post! I know it’s a little bit quick, but I do have not much time in posting. So, next post will be my Review Round Up for September and October. Stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: BoxyCharm October 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another post!

BoxyCharm October 2020

BoxyCharm arrived the day after my No Make No Life box and was surprised when it shown up on my doorstep on another Saturday. Not complaining, I’m glad that I got this early like my other subscriptions. This box is the Base Box that includes items from prestige to luxury brands and it allows you to choose one of your products every month! This box is $25 a month too. Let’s see what I got this month!

Beauty Bakerie Breakfast in Bed Shadow Pallet: First up is a product from Beauty Bakerie. To tell you the truth, I haven’t seen any spoilers to know that this brand would be in this month’s box. I’ve tried their blending eggs, their blushes, and a highlighter and now happy to try one of their shadow pallets. This pallet has mattes and shimmers and can wear it any time. I honestly won’t probably wear this to the office but may wear it on an outing since I do turn to neutral looks most of the time. I will have to see how pigmented this pallet is and how I would like it. Retail price is $38.

Luxie Wonderless Brush Set: Next is a brush set from Luxie Beauty. This is an eye shadow brush set that features five brushes to blend shadows on the eyes. I have been using Luxie brushes for a while since I have gotten them I my boxes and love how they blend my makeup! This set retails for $40 since it also comes in a nice handy pouch!

Dose of Colours Concealer: Next up is a product from Dose of Colours and it’s my choice item for this month! This time it’s a concealer and happy to select this. When I saw this as an option, I wanted to try other Dose products after enjoying their liquid lipsticks and one of their lipsticks. I chose the color in Light Medium Neutral since that’s my shade in foundation and concealer, well closest in concealer anyways. This concealer is lightweight and easy to blend and able to cover dark circles and other imperfections. I have to try this out once I’m done with the Revlon concealers I’m using now. This retails for $24.

Soul De Janero Tinted Lip Balm: Next is a product from Soul De Janero and it’s a lip product this time. I’ve tried their body butters and thought they weren’t too bad. When I noticed this in my box, I hope it works b better. This lip butter is supposed to help dry, cracked lips and be able to nourish them with kuku butter, I can’t wait to try this out and see how goes. This retails for $20.

Ace Bouteau Lip Liner Duo: And final product is from Ace Bouteau! Glad to get more lip liners especially from this brand since I’ve enjoyed their Vintage Dawn pallet. This glides onto lips and can also be used to fill them in. These also include a sharpener to keep them on point. I can’t wait to try these out either since I do fill my lips in before liquid lipsticks. This retails for $16.

That completes my BoxyCharm for this month! I already chose my item for November’s box and glad to try newer products from brands I’ve enjoyed. I think I’ve purchased the Luxie brush set but will still use it for my shadows. I am definitely excited about the concealer and shadow pallet since I want to explore more when it comes to Dose of Colours and Beauty Bakerie. With that guys, I leave you all here and next is my Ipsy Glam Bag! Stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: October 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another subscription post!

Glam Bag Plus October 2020

Even though I got this first before No Make No Life, but I was really excited to post that one over this one so here we go! This subscription is the second tier from Ipsy and it’s $25 a month. They changed it to where you can choose three out of five items from certain groups of items and they choose your first two products. I was happy about my first two items and I think I did pretty good in my choices. Let’s see what I got!

Love Craft Beauty Basic Rituals Eye Shadow Pallet: First up is a pallet from Love Craft Beauty and it’s a shadow pallet! So far so good I’ve been enjoying this brand and when I saw this in my GB Plus this month it made me happy. This is a mix of neutrals, mattes, and metallics that can also be used for a smoky look. It claims that the shadows last for a long time without any smudging, fading, creasing, and fall out which that will be put to the test. All in all, I am glad to get this and have to try it out! This has a value of $35.

Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Setting Powder: I am going to end it at that since it’s a translucent setting powder. Tarte keep it simple! Anyways, When I saw this as a choice from Ipsy I was happy too. I love getting my face makeup needs in my subscriptions since I don’t buy another for a while. I haven’t tried the translucent powders from Tarteand well it has no flashback, it is also supposed to set my makeup for hours. I have to try this out since I tend to set my foundation with translucent powder. Let’s see how it goes! This values for $34.

Doucce Freematic Limited Edition Smoky Pallet: Next up is a product from Doucce which I chose from the first group of items. It was hard to choose until I looked at this one. This contains eight shadows where they are neutral and metallic where you can build up with the top row and work your way through. It also has a highlighter in the pallet that can also be used on the eyes and face. I have to try this pallet to see how it’s like since I did remember getting an eyeliner from these guys years ago and enjoyed it and glad to try this out. This values $65.

Dr. Lip Tint Three Pack in Sweet Potato, Red Radish and Elderberry: Next up is my second choice and that is from Dr. Lip which is a new brand for me. This is a multi-tasking balm and gloss that can be used on the lips and cheeks. Sweet Potato is a pink, Elderberry is a burgundy, and Red Radish is a coral. I did try one of these and saw someone review it and said it wasn’t sticky which I agree. It does feel good on the lips and glad to pick this out since having to wear a mask I can’t really do fancy lip products or be careful for it to rub off so it does stay put for a few minutes until you drink something. I hope to see this brand more in Ipsy in the future especially during the wintertime when people would be having chapped lips all the time, especially when it gets extremely cold in some areas. This pack values for $23.

Aracely Beauty Ojos Perfectos Gel Liner Pencil Duo and Sharpener Set: I know the name is mainly in Spanish but rather just use the English translation after seeing the long name these were given when it’s just eyeliner pencils. Really people, don’t need the really long fancy names! This duo comes with Cinnamon which is a shimmer pencil and Chocolate which is a matte pencil. These pencils are supposed to glide onto the skin with ease which is good and hoping they do that since I prefer an eyeliner pencil to be smooth and of course do like my lines to be more precise and not always run like a liquid which I know it can be tedious. I am also glad that it comes with a sharpener which we need more liner pencils to come with since there are times where I don’t always have a sharpener even while at a convention which I know I will have for Ranger Stop Pop next year. I can’t wait to try these out! This values for $33.

Add-On: And my final item is my add-on for this month and it’s the Dominique Cosmetics Celestial Storm pallet. I did get the Celestial Thunder in BoxyCharm last fall and finally used it when my dad visited. I only used a single shade since I didn’t which ones were in the pallet and no description is on the net but at least I found the descriptions for this pallet and copied it down. I wanted to get this since the Thunder pallet and glad to see it was an add-on through Ipsy for $12 and purchased it. I can create some trio or quad looks from the descriptions from this pallet. I did pack it for the move so hoping I will use it once we get settled into our new place!

That is, its guys! Sorry for the delay since I was busy when it came to life so hoping I will get the last two subscription posts up and I do have a few other posts in mind. So, stay tuned!

No Make No Life November 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with my first subscription to mention on here!

No Make No Life November 2020

Even though I got my Glam Bag Plus first I do start with this box since it also comes early. This box came all the way from Tokyo, and it features brands from Japan and Korea for $45 which is $35 plus $10 for shipping. You get eight to nine products whether it’s makeup or skin care. Let’s see what I got this month!

Skin Macaron Lip Balm: First up is a product by Skin Macaron and this is a new brand to me since I started getting this box in August. This brand is known for creating hypoallergenic products for people with sensitive skin. In the little macaron packaging, you get a macaron that has a clear lip balm that you can also use on your lids or under eyes for a gloss look. The flavors you could get in this are grape, pineapple, and choco. I got Choco and it does feel glossy and smooth on my lips. I do have another macaron lip balm which I will be finishing that up but glad to get this in my box since I do love getting lip balms especially when winter is coming soon and of course we do have to wear medical masks. To tell you the truth I’ve gotten acne because of the mask and did have a dry spot above my lips so yeah, I will be using this!

Skin’s Bony Yogurt Wash Off Mud Pack: Next is a mud mask which is by an interesting sounding brand. Skin’s Bony Yogurt. New to me as well! I believe this came from Japan since it mentioned Harajuku. This is a wash off mask that comes in Pink, Green Tea, Yellow, and Black masks for different skin benefits. It does come hard at room temperature and says to warm it up slightly. I don’t go for wash off masks, but I will try this out and see how this goes.

Skin’s Bony Yogurt Mask Pack: Next is a sheet mask which I’m happy about! This doesn’t say much about it except to wash before using and apply lotion. I did take a look and it looks like it’s PH balancing I take it? I will see how this goes!

Sho-Bi Slown Fruits Cheek Color Pallet: Next is a small blush pallet and was surprised to get this in my box! I could have gotten this in either Baby Orange or Coral Pink and it comes with a small brush and in a magnetic case for touch ups on the go. I can’t wait to use this!

Choosy X Mii Lip Pack: I think this is a lip moisture pack by the looks of it since it doesn’t really say much about it. I think it’s all about moisture this month since we are about to go into mid fall by November. I will have to see how this goes.

Choosy X Milky Lip Scrub: Next is a lip scrub from this same collab. I tried this out and it feels good and smells good! You already know that using this helps with getting dead skin off the lips and this also has petroleum and jojoba oil to help with the lips. I will keep on using this since I packed my other lip scrubs for the move.

Peach Leaf Makeup Remover Wipes: Next up are remover wipes from Peach Leaf. Not only that it’s a full-size pack too! Whenever I get wipes from any other subscription it is usually travel size but nope! These are a full-on pack! These are made with peach leaf oil to help with taking makeup off with one swipe and keep it moisturized as well when it comes to the skin. I know some makeup wipes make the claim that it will take makeup off in one swipe but have to put that to the test and see if it’s true. I am glad to get these though!

Nail Stand: Sorry for not having the brand for this but this was an interesting gadget since this is supposed to be something where you can put your toe or finger on the ring and you do your nails as a way to keep them stable while painting them. It also has a suction cup to stay on the table. I will have to use this since I do tend to have a hard time painting my nails. I will have to try and use this even while putting on press on nails. Let’s see how it goes!

Well guys that is it for this post! I’m happy about this box and I used the face mask after getting this box and it felt pretty good. I have to try out the mud mask and see how that goes. Also, I am excited about the lip scrub, lip balm, and even used the blush compact since this post is going up on a Sunday which is a few days after getting this box. I can’t wait for what December’s box holds because so far this box has been really good and not complaining! Next up is Glam Bag Plus! Stay tuned!
