Subscription Satelite: Ipsy Glam Bag July 2021

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Time for another post!

Glam Bag July 2021!

So, last week I got my Ipsy Glam Bag and glad I did since this tends to be later than usual. I was glad to get it early and was able to use some of the items. This bag is $12 a month and you get five deluxe size items to try out. Also, some full-size ones. Let’s see what I got!

Add-Ons: Let’s start with add-ons. It’s been a while since I got anything from this category and went with the Foxaby Marble Flat Iron which usually retails around $100 but got it for half off. I’ve been in the market finding a new flat iron since there are times when I straighten my hair it goes back to wavy the next day. This happened at our place but it did hold for the next morning at our newer place since we live in a cooler area. I will have to see how this goes since there were reviews saying that someone with thicker hair had some trouble while others had an easy time. I will have to see how well it works on my hair. It did also come with a finishing cream to keep the frizz out. Since I did purchase this, I also got an extra which is the F. A. H. R. A. tweezers which are double ended ones that can be used for applying lashes and pulling hairs. As you know I don’t wear lashes so I used these to help with my chin hairs. They’re not that bad, just a little hard to grip the hairs sometimes but they pull pretty well. Not bad as a freebie so I will keep trying them out!

Bloom Daydreamer Gentle Ultra Hydrating Facial Cleanser: First up is a facial cleanser. It’s been a few years since I received a cleanser in my Glam Bags and this was a new one. I have been using this in my shower to clean my face off since I use the Tony Moley AM Gel Cleanser when I wake up. This did sting a little since it’s a new product for my skin and sometimes that does happen when introducing a new item to your routine. It is meant for sensitive skin and supposed to add hydration, however my skin doesn’t feel it and the smell is weird. I don’t think I will purchase a full-size one since I already use some beloved products.

First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Coconut Priming Smoothie Moisturizer: Next up is a product from First Aid Beauty and it’s their Hello Fab Coconut Priming Smoothing Moisturizer. I did use this up since it was a pretty small sample size. This is a moisturizer that helps with fine lines and wrinkles and prep the skin for makeup. I didn’t know about the primer part since I did use this both night and morning since I do use moisturizers both morning and night. At least it did prime my face for the sun screen since I had hardly worn any face makeup to work. I found this product to be okay though. I did enjoy the First Aid items I have tried so far and I have primers I haven’t used yet and some I have purchased and need to use them. I don’t think I will get a full-size either but at the same time there are times where the sample doesn’t justify the experience. I may see about getting the full-size when it goes on sale to give a better try-on.

Kaleido Cosmetics Lip Mask Gel Conditioning and Repairing Lip Mask: Next up is another lip mask from Kaleido Cosmetics. This is a tinted lip mask that helps rehydrate the lips and it contains watermelon seed oil, jojoba, rose hemp oils and other oils to help the lips. I need to get into the habit of using these to help my lips since they tend to get dry from some lip products and other factors. I will have to see how it goes.

MOTD Lighting Crew Brush: Next up is another brush and this time it’s from MOTD which I have been enjoying their brushes so far. This brush has very flexible bristles that let someone be able to blend any loose or pressed highlighters on the high points of their face. I was expecting a fan brush since sometimes highlighting brushes take on that shape but this was a rounded brush. I will have to try this out when I put highlighter on.

Real Her I Am Radiant Lip Gloss: Final item in the bag is another item from Real Hear. This lip gloss is a nude brown that has a non-sticky formula and can be worn either alone or over other lip products. I haven’t tried it yet but will when I have to reach for a nude lip gloss while at work. I have gotten products from this brand. I don’t give it much love. I should do a post on brands I haven’t given much love to in a while and should do that in a little while. Glad to try another product from this brand.

That finishes this post! I am still currently waiting on my Glam Bag Plus since they had an extra and added some products I can’t wait to try. Next month will include my next Glam Bag X. ALso, I just re-subscribed to Allure Beauty Box. After unsubscribing from BoxyCharm, I felt that Allure may have gotten better so I will be giving it another chance to see how well they redeemed themselves. They also rose their price so see what they started including this time around.I’m supposed to be getting this month’s box despite it being the end of the month. I do have to say that this bag did stick to the essentials pretty well and can’t wait to see what else they will include in my bag since I did choose my item yesterday. Let’s see what happens. Next post will be items I’m not missing. Stay tuned and follow us on Twitter @ Nerdy Shique
