Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new post@

Glam Bag X August 2021

Unfortunately, I lost the card for last month’s GB Plus but I am making up for losing that with starting with Glam Bag X. This is a quarterly version of the Glam Bag where you get more luxury brands and more independent ones as well. This costs $50 but you get a lot of stuff for the price! This month, it was all about Holsi and her brand About Face, let’s see what I got this month alongside my choices!

About Face Light Lock Powder in Smother: First up is my item from About Face. This is a powder highlighter that can be applied with a brush or fingers and it is made with lavender and silver pigments. So, basically an icy lavender shade! I am so excited about using this! I do enjoy a nice highlight and will see how this goes. This does retail for $30.

Athr Beauty Moon Light Crystal Pallet: Next up is a product by Athr Beauty. This is a shimmery shadow pallet with eight shades and the shadows are made with coconut oil, rose quartz, and sapphire crystals. When I saw this being in my bag as a choice from Ipsy, I was really excited since I hardly get shadows that are shimmery in BoxyCharm. I do love my mattes but glad to balance with some shimmer. I will have to do a single eye look with this. This retails for $58.

Fenty Beauty Full Frontal Mascara in I’m Black: Next up is a product from Fenty. I find Rhiana’s music okay but I have heard her makeup brand has amazing products. Plus, it’s the first brand that has made many foundation shades that included everyone. Which caused some brands to either rag on her or follow suit. Makeup should be all inclusive people! Anyways, I didn’t try the foundation due to how many people say it’s not great for certain skin types so I wasn’t going to risk it but glad to get a mascara from this brand to try. I think most times I tend to get a new brand in my bag it’s a mascara. Not hating it! This claims to bring thickness, volume, and length to the lashes with the brush and the formula is waterproof without leaving smudges. You know what? I should take this with me to Atlanta! Why? I hear it gets hot up there and I need something to beat the heat if need be. I will put this through the test while doing press at RangerStop guys! Stay tuned for the report! This retails for $24. If I find a Sephora, I want to try a contour stick.

Herbivore Botanicals Emerald Deep Moisture Facial Oil: Next up is a product by a brand called Herbivore Botanicles. I never heard of these guys until now. This is an oil that helps the skin become calm and moisturized and protect it from harsh environmental factors. It does contain hemp seed oil, squalene, and a few other ingredients. I will definitely use this since Florida is known for its harmful sun rays and some pollution. I will give it a go. This retails for $48.

Volition Beauty Yoapta Tea Glow Moisturizer: Next up, another skin care product and this time a moisturizer. This contains a new kind of tea called Yoaptan Tea which is a new version of Matcha which is interesting. It helps the skin re-energize since it can look tired. I will definitely give this one a try since I have loved the green tea masks from Tony Moley and Purlisse. I will see how this goes! This retails for $39.

Briogeo Farewell Frizz Hair Dry and Heat Protectant Cream: Now, first item of my choices is from Briogeo. I remembered trying their Don’t Despair Hair Mask all thanks to other boxes and glad to see a full-size item in this box since I haven’t gotten full size items from these guys before. When I lived with my parents, the budget didn’t really allow this brand but at least I get to try an item again from them. This cream contains rose hemp, argon, and coconut oils to help with frizz and breakage in the hair. It also helps protects it from 450-degree heat, which is what most hair dryers and flat irons give off. I did get a new flat iron as an add-on. I will have to see how this product goes once I try it. This item retails for $24.

Kimchi Chick Beauty Thaila Blush in 01 Pinky: Next up is an item by Kimchi. You guys may remember that Kim Chi was a contestant on Rupaul’s Drag Race and had started her own makeup brand. When I saw this, I had to choose it except it came broeken. So, I’m waiting for a replacement. This is supposed to be a pin and peach combo to be able to swirl together to make a pinkish peach glow. If this comes in one piece then I will try it out! This retails for $15.

Tarte Clay Pot Shadow Liner in Rose Gold: Final item is from Tarte and it’s an eyeliner this time! I feel like this is a nice change since I haven’t really tried any eyeliners from these guys as of yet. This is an eye shadow and eyeliner hybrid which you can wear either way depending on the look you want to go for. This is made with rose gold minerals and Amazonian clay. I will use this as an eyeliner. I would even use this with the Athr shadow pallet. This retails for $21.

Dang! That was a lot of items to talk about! I did pack the mascara into my travel makeup bag since press awaits for me next weekend! I will definitely try out the eyeliner and other items. Let’s see how it goes! Next up with my Ipsy Glam Bag! Stay tuned!
