Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag June 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with the last subscription for this month!

Glam Bag June 2022

Sorry for the long wait for this post but my Glam Bag didn’t arrive until last week and school got me for the rest of the week. Plus, I needed a day off from everything due to fatigue. I’m glad to be back and to post this! This bag is normally $13 but due to inflation it will be raised to around $14 next month. I know some people would be a rip off but after the craziness with GBX, I did link my post about that onto Ipsy’s comment board and someone complained about the items and I did explain you’re not guaranteed what you want is what you get, which is true. It even says at the start of the survey so if anyone wants to join please understand that. Your survey will match you with products from brands you may love over time or may not heard of and you tend to get either deluxe size or full size. Let’s see what I got this month!

  • Beauty Creations Thickening Mascara
  • Laruce 105L Short Shadow Brush
  • Plim Candy Candy Melts Vegan Lip Balm in Melon Bubble Yum
  • Sugar Cosmetics Goddess of Flawless Sunscreen
  • Eyeko Black Magic Eyeliner Travel Size
  • Beauty Vault Shadow Quad in Plum (Add-On)

This month was a pretty good one since I did have a surprise with the Beauty Creations mascara. At first I thought it was going to be another deluxe size but when it arrived it was a full-size mascara! I rarely get that in this bag! I normally get it in GB Plus and GBX but not here! I did remember in the past that they sent full-size NYX Lip Lingerie lipsticks in the past but here, this was a mascara! I am glad that they did this because I can try out something full-size and see how it goes even though the deluxe version gives you a preview of how it goes. The product says thickening which I did read that it’s supposed to thicken my lashes and I will be putting this to the test with that claim. It is also a drugstore one, which I saw the price being $8 which you do get for any other drugstore mascara for the same price and I do enjoy a drugstore mascara myself. The brush from Laurce is always handy since I can use this as more of a brow bone brush to sweep some shadow under the brow to accent muy shadow choices or go have a sharper case, you’ll never know. What got me to use the products right away were the sunscreen from Sugar Cosmetics and the lip balm from Plum Candy. First, the lip balm is because my lips were super dry from burning my lip all thanks to being way too excited with curry and it hurt like crap! Now it;s mostly healed but I did use this to help with dryness after putting the burn ointment and the Vaseline Lip Therapy which I need some added moisture. This Bubble Yum when I was a kid. Like any kid, I did love chewing gum but not as an adult, it was ruined for me over the years. It does feel good on the lips. I did try buying the actual product but the brand is overseas and I am afraid of my financial info being compromised, which did happen once when I did buy a perfume from Lush once, UK side by the way, and my card info got taken. So, I rather let Ipsy give me the items instead. While wearing sunscreen, I was surprised that Sugar Cosmetics released sunscreen and had to try it and so far so good I had no breakouts from this. It just goes on smooth and my skin was okay after washing it off since my skin can get itchy from certain products, this one nope! I thought it was just in time because the heat has been brutal as of late here in Florida, I can imagine the rest of the country! And of course, again, why black eyeliner! I put in my profile I want this sometimes not always because I have so much all thanks to this and BoxyCharm! I feel like I can help all of the punk and emo bands that come through Orlando by supplying them with all of my black eyeliners I have collected over time! I could be the merchant from Resident Evil 4 with the jacket having nothing but eyeliner pencils and pens! At least this one is from Eyeko though I do love their mascara! I will have to see how this goes even though I am tired of black eyeliners yet glad I don’t have to buy any eyeliner unless it’s a nude liner I need from Ulta. And finally, it’s been a long time since I got Add-ons. I don’t like that I have to wait a little longer to get my bag that I get my add-on in but this month I got a credit for what had happened during the last GBX and I did use it on the Beauty Vault Quad which caught my eye basically. I haven’t tried this brand so I will see how it goes!

That completes this bag and completes my subscriptions for this month! Glad to make it through and felt bad for not doing May since it was so chaotic! Hoping July won’t be as crazy since my summer semester will be winding down at the end of July and hoping to get a better schedule of posting out. Next post will be about anime that should have their manga versions animated! Stay tuned!did bring back the memories of buying\

Subscription Satelite: Allure Beauty Box June 2022

2 Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and their dads and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with the next subscription!

Allure Beauty Box June 2022

It’s time for the Allure Beauty Box and I do have to say that this made up for the disappointment from Glossy Box because the products are amazing this month. This box is curated by the Allure Editors with products they have loved throughout the months and placed them in the box with full and deluxe sizes for $23. Since I announced the slight price rise with Ipsy last post, I have not seen anything about Allure doing the same thing since they are a well-known magazine but they have been an online publication for a while since I do get articles sent to my inbox everyday. Hoping they keep it at this price every month since the value is pretty nice. Let’s see what they shipped to me!

  • Ciata London Everyday Vacay Pallet
  • CosRX Full Fit Light Ampule
  • Floss Beauty Lip Advocate Lip Tint
  • La Roche Posay Lipikar Balm Plus Intense Body Cream
  • Sephora Smooth + Blur Primer
  • Simbiosis Hyaluronic Acid + Shea Butter Ultra Rich Night Treatment

I know I didn’t include links but figured this would be easier to do since anyone can do a search for these items except for the Everyday Vacay Pallet, which I could only find a review of and can be found on Mercari and EBay. Not sure if this item is discontinued since Ciata didn’t have it on their site under Everyday Vacay. Did Allure have this in their offices for a year or so? Usually brands won’t keep products for a while after the collection is done. Now, I’m not saying Allure had expired products, I am just wondering if this was something in their vault or was given by Ciata a year back or just recently for the box if they had new packaging? I am just wondering why this is not linked anywhere on the net when it’s not on the official website and how did it get into Allure’s hands? I know BoxyCharm went through a scandal with some products being expired a while back especially with the Boxy Pop Up where I just watched someone’s video about a rose oil that’s expired. I am not sure as of now but will have to see how this product goes since I do like what I’ve tried from Ciata all thanks to these subscriptions. This box also gave me my first La Roche Posay product for me to try. I have seen their sunscreen being advertised but it’s way out of my budget when it comes to skin care. The highest I would spend on skin care would be in the $20 range and if it’s something like Sunday Riley or La Rosch then I just use it and find a dupe for it that would work as well, like this repair cream I got from them. I know it will be expensive on Ulta and glad to get a sample size since having samples is the best. I bet you guys may tell me that I should spend the most on skin care, not exactly. I do get Murad but only on sale especially during 21 Days of Beauty but a $12 moisturizer from the drugstore would probably do the same as $100 moisturizer, I am just saying. I will use this of course. I also did receive another Floss item which is a lip tint. I burned my lips and let them heal before I use anything besides lip balm, a Vaseline lip therapy, and burn ointment. Long story short, I just did a taste test with curry when it happened. It was straight out of my slow cooker if anyone is wondering. I put the Apule in my bathroom and started using it since this is my first Ampule I’ve ever had and so far it has not broken me out since I used it last night and this morning. I will have to see how this goes since CosRX is a good brand and heard of them through James Welsh, also I think I got some items from when I was with No Make No Life a year ago. The Sephora primer is something that was a bit of a surprise since I am more of an Ulta shopper and fan of their own brand, it’s good to try another store’s brand to see how they go. I will put this in my everyday makeup Caboodle. All I have to say this was a good box, but a little suspicious of the Ciata shadow pallet.

That completes this box! It did help with the disappointment I had towards Glossy Box since I did have that blush break on me and glad I went on Pixie’s website to pick up another one. I will definitely start using the lip tint once my lips heal from the burn. I am still using the Ampule from CosRX which so far has been good. I can’t wait to see what the editors picked for next month with Fourth of July looks about to happen. I am waiting for another Color Club order since I did pick up their Fourth themed polish and needed a white polish to match. Next will be my Ipsy bag and also have another post in line! Stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag Plus June 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Time for another subscription!

Glam Bag Plus June 2022

I know I usually put the Glam Bags together but I think doing them separate would be fair. So, my Glam Bag Plus did get to me in one piece since nothing broke on the truck. That is a good thing and I have to announce something. Due to inflation, Ipsy is raising their shipping to meet the inflation situation by 1.50. So, we will be paying more starting next month, even Glam Bag X will also be affected by being $58 starting August. I did say I will give that one more chance unless they screw up but after realizing what had happened in Glossy, I will just buy the items they screwed up on if they don’t send the replacement. I haven’t bought the Nudestix blush due to getting some other makeup items but may do it next month or wait for my birthday coupon for Ulta.Let’s see what I got this month!

This was a better bag this time since I did get two skin care items. I got another serum but from this bag and I never heard of Dr. Zenobia before but glad to get a serum that has one of the ingredients I tend to enjoy and that is Hyaluronic Acid. I think of using this next since I don’t know if I can find my other Good Molecules one since I moved recently and the bottle is just there. I’m also happy that I received another Dr. Brandt items which I’ve enjoyed from them so far. I am still currently using one moisturizer that I just opened in my collection of moisturizers. I did use up my Expholikate moisturizer due to being so dry from my stomach bug. I did have a hard time finding a link for the Laura Gellar Illuminator Duo which I am happy to use since I have gotten into this brand through Ipsy and also BoxyCharm. I will definitely use this and combine the two to give off a nice glow on whatever blush I wear that day. I’m also happy to choose the Girlactick Shadow Stick since I have enjoyed shadow sticks so far and they are so easy to use when I want a quick look and I wished Ipsy did link them for Shop Brand, which I was glad to find their website and they do have other colors which I may explore. What is interesting is that this stick is more water based which will be interesting to see how well it stays on top of primer. And finally, a nail polish duo but from Mischo Beauty. I think I got a nail polish set from this brand or maybe another one since I do love nail polishes and what caught my interest was the teal, even though the website says it is a dusty blue, which still is interesting since I do love blue polish. I put on a blue black polish from Essie that I recently purchased on Nail Polish Day. I will definitely check more nail polishes out by Mischo since they are a little bit pricier than Color Club but will have to see how well their polishes feel before buying of course!

That completes this post, I’m happy for this month’s bag because I feel that the choices had more variety this time around since I did post asking about that and I feel that they listened. I can’t wait to see what July has in store since we do have the Fourth coming up and usually having something Star Spangled does make me happy since I do love stars! I did buy two of the star themed polishes from Color Club. Stay tuned for my Allure Beauty Box!

Subscription Satelite: Glossy Box June 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Sorry for not being around, it has been a bit chaotic over here in the Nerd Universe. Let’s see, I caught Rj’s stomach bug which he caught while being at work and we both had to go to the E. R. to get fluids because this one was a doozy on us. As in, we couldn’t keep anything down, especially when I had some pain added which happened to be a UTI. I got mine around the first few days of my summer semester of school on top of it and had to get my first week of assignments in and glad I did, week two of school met our move to a new apartment. Tobi moved in with us and we upgraded in our complex and did get to turn in stuff and now back at work to make money again. Hooray! It is back to normal and I hope I never get another stomach bug. It shows that with Covid that new things can come up that are pretty bad, I am looking at Monkey Pox which sounded new but weird. Anyways, tangent’s aside, I have the first subscription for June!

Glossy Box June 2022

So, Glossy Box arrived and I had to get it from my old mailbox because they told me I had to change my address before the 20th of the month and I did not see that anywhere. At least with Ipsy it’s before the first of the next month, but Glossy can you post that on your change of address form? Anyways, this box is $21 a month and contains full-size and some deluxe size items and can range from five to six and can also range from drugstore to luxury and even some indie brands I never heard of, let’s see what I got!

So, this month there are four products! I think this is a better box because last month was kind of underwhelming, especially having a scrubbing item that was really rough on my skin. I did toss it out because my skin hated it. The only thing that was disappointing was my blush from Pixie shattering. WHen it came it was completely broken! I thought it was from Mica beauty but it was not, whoops, but it was Pixie and I was sad. I hope they send me a replacement, if not, I may have to purchase one from Pixie since I love what i’ve tried from them. I am wanting to know, who’s bright idea was to place this item on the top? This should have been at the bottom with a better cushion because delivery is not too kind, especially by UPS. I did start using the body cream though because my skin has been super dry and left a lotion back at the old place. I do find the Christof Robin item interesting this time which claims to be a shampoo replacement. I’m not going to totally replace my shampoo since I did switch to a Carotene shampoo since I am trying to grow my hair back out and glad it is now even due to a hair cut. And I’m glad to get a new face cream to use at night since my skin did have a major dry patch after the stomach bug and it looked like a desert patch. I know, stomach bugs can dehydrate and my skin is now back to normal. I am still going to keep it hydrated as usual due how dry my skin does guests year round. I will see how everything goes and hope for an update on the blush because that was a sad moment I never thought I would go through.

That is it for this box, I know it was short but glad I got this box and glad to be back on here. I hope to get back to the normal rotation since my Glam Bag Plus is supposed to be here soon if the post does nI also get a kabuki brush with this item when I got it from the website, so if yours came broken then buy it since you can get a better value with the brush and learning from what had happened with GBX last month, if anything came broken or if they ran out, I will just buy the item instead of facing what happened last month since who knows if Glossy Box got enough inventory and with things happening with inflation and supply not being up, I doubt they would have enough. Also, I did get an email from Ipsy which I will explain in the next subscription which is Glam Bag Plus!ot get things mixed up with our mail! Grrr! Until next time!

Update: Sorry for the wait, I ran out of time all week due to busy schedule! I decided to buy the Pixie Blush Duo from Pixie’s website this morning, which is Saturday! I decided to do this because Glssy Box wanted pics and I was way too busy t do anything about it and figured that it was not that bad of a price so why not? I wanted to buy anything Pixie for years and finally got that chance since I am working.
