The Tag Quadrant: THe Make Up Marvels Tag!

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another Beauty Tag!

Make Up Marvels Tag!

I saw Teresa is Dead do this one and felt like doing it and it is the Make Up Marvels Tag! I love make up and I do have some things I get from Ulta or even from my subscriptions that I feel that are really good and have been working out for me and when I saw this tag I felt like it was something I want to do and I do have some things I want to talk about. First a disclaimer!

Disclaimer: This tag is based on make up experiences that the lead writer of this site has! Please respect her thoughts based on her experiences on the products that are mentioned in this tag. Thank you!

Lady Prime: a primer that actually works I give it to two of them and they are the E. L. F. Pore less Putty Primer and the NYX Hydro Touch! Why? Because these two are my favorite and they have been working out the most for my dry as heck skin! Even though I haven’t repurchased my beloved Hydro Touch in months but it has been keeping my skin from drying out like crazy even before the foundation gong on, it just keeps the moisture in even after taking my make up off after a long day of work alongside the E. L. F. one. The pore less Putty was all thanks to getting it in the Allure Beauty Box which I unsubscribed from last November because I can just get this at Target and did last time with the actual purchase and have been loving it. This is in a medium size pot and it does come out creamy on the skin and with a good moisturizer underneath it does stay moist on the skin. I can see why someone said it’s (Insert Their Name) Approved!

Ripe & Hype: Make Up that is worth the hype! Oh man, I know I did this with the drugstore tag recently but if I was being honest here, I would have to give it to the MorphexJames Charles Pallet! I know I said I didn’t like Morphe but mainly for their brushes and when I saw this on sale on Ulta’s website I looked at it and thought it was the Tarte Tartiste Pro Remix over again but it wasn’t when I compared it to the shades of both and purchased this one. I got it and man they were not kidding about the 35 shade pallets being huge as heck! I can see why, and this does remind me of the color wheel and an artist paint pallet since this is the Artistry Pallet. I did try the green shades and did an analogous look with this and that is what it’s meant for which you use the shades in a particular color family and go to the lightest which I did by using Social Blade on my lid, Daddy as my definer, Guac in my crease, and Bee in my brow to give the yellow touch and blended them together. I will keep using this pallet and I think this will be my only Morphe pallet since I prefer the color pallets I can play with as well.

The Late Bloomer: the product you was late to try but wished you tried it sooner! I give it to the Naked Eye Shadow Pallets from Urban Decay. It took me a few years in my somewhat YouTube Career and Blogging Career to collect these pallets and sad that the original and Naked 2 have been discontinued and knowing Naked 3 is to follow suit that I must get before it goes bye for real. I have a feeling the reason why they are discontinuing the originals is to make way for the newer ones like the Ultraviolet for example. Again, I feel like I was late to the game with these even though they have lost their popularity to the brand I mentioned above and a few others, but I didn’t care. I love these pallets and will keep using them when I’m in the mood.

Tentative Tangles: a pallet you’ve been on the fence on and now a favorite! Hush! So many of my pallets but I would give this one to the Tarte Toasted Pallet! I purchased this during 21 Days of Beauty which I was not going to, but the sale price was really good and did. I can see this one is a good one because it is an expanded version of the Naked Heat and does give you more toasty shades to play with and it fits with the fiery shades you would expect. I need to start using this more since I haven’t really touched it for a while.

Game Changer: a product that has changed how you do your make up or changed your routine? I give it to the Juno & Co. Make Up Sponges, the Billion Dollar Brows Best Sellers Kit, and mascara primers! First, the Juno sponges have helped me with blending my make up very well even with the foundations that have a really dewy formula. The Billion Dollar Brow Kit has been a big game changer in my brow routine. I tend to just use a clear brow gel and a pencil to keep my brows in place and this has been doing the same thing. While the mascara primers have been keeping my lashes from having flakes from any mascara and the flakes tend to bother my eyes too. Glad I got to start using the lash primers since my eyes do water due to allergies, especially with how we have so much pollen in the air.

Beauty Lash: a mascara that curls to the top! I know that is not the exact words but the mascara I would give this to is the Lash Princess mascara from Essence! I got into this mascara due to my favorite personalities on YouTube. All thanks to hearing about this one I had to get it and fell in love with it when I first purchased it on Ulta. I have been using the waterproof one from them for work as well.

Shine & Dine: a shiny product that doesn’t look like fly paper! Hmmm! I give it to the Space Case Shadow in Ultimate Space Gasm. I know this is a weird name, but this shadow is amazing! If you want a single shadow look without the thought is any of the Space Case ones. This brand is amazing, and their shadows are Colour Pop quality but on the dryer side. I would say try them out if you have a chance. While the shade I mentioned is very glittery and easy to blend on the eyes on top of a white eye base and you can travel easily with these in a make-up bag.

Fancy Cake: a powder that sets without looking like a crepe on your face! The Becca Hydro Mist Powder and the E. L. F. Setting Powder. These two are amazing in setting foundation. The Hydro mist was from a BoxyCharm last year and it is very dewy, and it is very refreshing! While the E. L. F. one is translucent and very pressed and easy to set my makeup. With the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy Foundation gives a really nice set to it and doesn’t make it feel heavy. Now I want to see how well the Hydro Mist powder would set it. Still I enjoy these powders even though they are in different price ranges from each other. Becca is around the $30 range while E. L. F. is around $6. Good products for their prices.

This was a fun tag guy! I am glad to do this one and hope you enjoyed it. I am still reading a ton of books so don’t worry I will get to reviewing another book soon and I am now waiting on my subscriptions to get to me, I am also planning to do my Sunu Band review since I can’t test it at a convention due to how they have been pushed to 2021 and promised to review it for a while now. Stay tuned everyone!

The Tag Quadrant: The Drugstore Make Up Tag!

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another tag video!

Drugstore Make Up Tag

Today I will be doing the Drugstore Make Up Tag. As you know mys tart with make up happened to be drugstore and have been using products from there up to today. I seen Jessica Braun do this tag and she added some questions so I will be doing her version of this tag, let’s get to it!

If you were able to use one drugstore brand or affordable brand what would it be? I will give this to Wet N Wild because it was the very first make up brand I’ve ever used and have been loving for many years. I know there has been some controversy around its Cruelty Free status due to selling in a Chinese drugstore but I still have enjoyed the products. I have been loving their dewy foundation the most now because it feels comfortable on my skin.

What is the most under rated affordable brand? I have to give it to Jordana is the brand I would say it’s under rated. It is always sold at Walgreens which I have seen some people say they have been taken out of some locations which they did that with my all time favorite nail polish brand, Sinful Colors, in my area. I have seen people rave about their eyeliner and I did get their purple one a while back before moving out and did love their lip products I have tried. I know you can still get them online which is a good thing.

What is the most over rated drugstore brand? I give it to Morphe! I feel like with all of the influencers promoting it and despite the drama of them dropping Jeffree Starr they are still over rated. I admit I did buy James Charles’ pallet because it was on sale and haven’t tried out the eye shadows and I do like a more of an artist’s pallet to play with like the Tarte Tartiste Pro ReMix pallet. The brushes on the other hand aren’t that great either since they are basically Crown brushes but labeled Morphe and I do have the vegan brush set and find them just okay when I can get better brushes at the drugstore with better quality like E. L. F. And I need to say this from pure honesty and that is if you’re an influencer and that gets PR try the product before saying it’s really good because I have seen Jaqueline Hill say the foundations, concealers, and powders really amazing but and this is a big one at that, she turned around and said she has not used the Morphe concealer but Tarte Shade Tape. Please don’t fool your followers. Heck, I was on camera to say that the Coastal Scents concealer quad was hard to blend for all to see!

What is one drugstore product under $5 you’ve liked? Oh man, this is hard! I would give it to Essence Lash Princess mascara. I have been loving this mascara for a while and even have the waterproof one for work so it would stay on during the day or on a bad day if I need that cry at home. This has been a great range of mascara that I have tried in many years and can see why it has been a favorite for a lot of people too.

What is a drugstore hidden gem no one talks about? I want to give this to the Revlon Lip Cushion Lip Tints! I had to think about it but these have been mentioned in Allure but hardly anyone on YouTube has mentioned them. I loved these for a while and my favorite shade has always been Crimson Feels due to how it is that classic brick red shade I know and look good in.

What is your favorite drugstore foundation? I give it to the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Dewy foundation! I know I just touched this but it is so good! I like how it is so comfortable on the skin and not so drying at all. So many people did not like the smell of the original one but you hardly smell this one which is good. I will keep on purchasing this since Buff Bisque is always my shade and sometimes it does sell out so I buy two just in case!

What are some products you buy at the drugstore more than high end? I would have to say eye shadow and lip products! Even though I have been getting my eye shadow fix from subscription boxes every month but I always get an eye shadow pallet or lip product a lot more on the drugstore side because their quality has been kicking it and I don’t feel so guilty spending so much on one pallet. I think the last shadow pallet I purchased that was full price was the Nude Mood pallet from COlour Pop. While lip products, on the other hand, I feel like I have been getting less of because of the subscriptions and have so many of so I slowed down on that. The last one I did get was another Crimson Feels which I finished up pretty fast.

What is one brand that is over priced? Even though I agree with Physician’s Formula being over priced but I have to say NYX is getting really high in price. I remembered this brand being so affordable at Ulta and then when it started being more accessible at CVS, Target, and now Walgreens and now we have the actual stores it has gone up in price and I remembered Jen Luv’s Reviews mentioned how it feels like their products are being raised in price without any reason. For instance, I remembered the Hydro Touch primer being around $13 at Ulta and now it’s around $16 I think and I am so surprised at that price. Heck, now they have a $32 shadow pallet and I am wondering who made the decision on these price hikes? The world will never know.

What is your favorite drugstore dupe? I give it to the NYX Slide On Eye Pencil! I feel that these are a dupe for Urban Decay’s Glide On Eye Pencils even though I have three of those due to 21 Days of Beauty. The NYX ones have been a fan favorite and I have loved these pencils for years and even have one in my work make up kit when I do teal shadow looks. I love how these glide on my eye lines and there are pretty good color options to choose from without breaking the bank. And another item would be the NYX Eye Base which is a good dupe for the Mac Paint Pot. I do love the Paint Pots but I always fall back to the NYX eye base because it does keep my shadows on very well throughout the day and it’s easy to blend on the eyes too.

What is the best drugstore shadow formula? I give this to the Coastal Scents single shadows. Why? Because not only being a bit under rated but at the same time they are so good! I can just buy these and stick them into a Z Pallet and just go on my merry way. I use these for work a lot because it’s so easy to find shadows appropriate for work that would go with any of my color schemes for solid and sometimes printed clothing. I even have one of their pallets with these shadows which is the pink pallet and haven’t touched it yet though. These are not too expensive either, they were around the $1.99 mark but they did have a price raise to $3 and they do go on sale a lot during the year.

What is the worst eye shadow formula? I think I have to give it to Revlon and the ones that came to mind were those shadow pallets that were named after the different elements of art like Advant Gard, Graffiti, and so on and those were okay. I did also remembered getting a shadow quad from them but what I didn’t like was how the packaging was so cheap and broke so easily! I am wondering if they improved the formula over time because their lip products are amazing but shadows aren’t the greatest!

What is one make up brand you loved before but no longer love? I have to say Maybelline and L’Oreal. I feel that these two brands were my favorites and I tend to get a lot of their items and now I only buy a few of them especially on sale. I think the last L’Oreal product I bought was the Voluminous Butterfly mascara because I do enjoy that mascara. I think the reason why I rarely buy from this brand is because they discontinued my most favorite mascara and that was the Miss Manga. I am still mad about that! While Maybelline, I really only get mascaras from them too because I already get my favorite lip products from other brands more than these guys. I think the last lip product was the Lip Ink liquid lipstick and I thank Allure for that one but I rarely buy items from these two brands.

Drugstore product you didn’t expect you love? I would have to give it to the E. L. F. Primer Infused Blushes! The thing is that usually you would have hits and misses from E. L. F. but these blushes have been one of my favorites. I only have two colors and they are Always Rosey from the matte line and Always Lucky from the luminous line. These go on sheer but really easy to build up which you need to watch out for that because it can get intense really easily due to how pigmented these are. I have been using Always Rosy for work every day and hoping to keep on purchasing it!

Affordable Eye Shadow Pallet You’ve Been Enjoying Now: I have been rarely buying any eye shadow pallets at the drugstore like I used to due to getting so many pallets in my subscriptions so I can’t really say.

What has been a brand that’s been stepping up? I am agreeing with Jessica on this and this is one of her questions and that is Cover Girl. Ever since they’ve announced their Cruelty Free Status years ago everyone has been buying them more, heck even I have been buying them a little more especially when I got my all time favorite concealer again, Invisible Lift in light. They have done so many things in the past and they have grown ever since their new status and hoping they keep on going.

Best new release or line at the drugstore? I give it to the Wet N Wild X My Melody and Kuromie Collection! They have made a lot of awesome collections in the past but this take the cake! Sanrio has been around for many decades and so many brands have partnered with them until now with Wet N Wild. I did buy the collection myself and waiting for it to arrive and basically it’s ten items and you get a makeup bag, two shadow pallets, two brushes, and some lip stuff and a face pallet. You can get them separately on the website and on Sanrio’s website too which is really amazing because I remembered there were their own make up items but getting it with Wet N Wild makes it better.

What is one brand that is dying out? I am not only agreeing on Revlon but also Almay. Revlon, I do love the lip tints they released and of course the Super Lustrous Lip sticks but they haven’t really been coming out with anything mind blowing. I know they are trying to fit with the newer generation by bringing new face items, new lip products, and other things except they are still going backwards in a way to cater to the older crowd. I am not saying I am super old but old enough to remember how they used to release so many new items like the other brands until now they aren’t doing it so much. While Almay, it’s like everyone passes by without a glance. When I first got into face make up I did use to use their Clean Complexion line all the time but when I noticed my skin was reacting weird to their products I had to change it up and went with other brands when it came to foundation, powder, and concealer. The other reason why they feel like they’re dying out with me is that they do just cater to four skin shades and they are light, light medium, medium, and deep. Ever since Fenty Beauty came out with their huge range of foundation shades a lot of brands followed suit like Wet N Wild, Becca, Maybelline, and so many other brands because it feels like with how brands should release their shade ranges it has to be inclusive because nobody has the same skin shade. What is a product you’ve been loving for years? I am giving it to the Maybelline Colossal Cat Eye Mascara! I have been buying this over and over and glad it’s still available! I prefer this over the Feline Noir mascara from L’Oreal because this one actually makes my lashes curl while the Feline Noir one just makes them stiff.

Well guys that is it! Some of the questions I had to think while others were pretty easy. I do love drugstore make up and can’t get enough of a few products while most of the time it’s face make up I get due to my subscriptions always giving me something new. I will be doing another tag that I saw Teresa Is Dead featured on her channel so stay tuned!

The Tag Quadrant: My Beauty Community

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe. I am back with a new post!

My Beauty Community Tag!

This was created by Kara C which was made after Shane Awesome posted on Twitter about how all beauty creators are “toxic.” Yes, I put that in quotes but I did talk about this on our podcast, Nerdy Shique Transmissions, that we are not all toxic since we are not like the problematic ones. So, this tag was made to shout out the ones that we love and enjoy since I have been someone who watched YouTube from 2008 onward and have missed the Beauty Space for some time. Let’s get into this but first…

Disclaimer: The YouTube people I am talking about is based on my own thoughts and opinions and the ones I chose are based on who fits what. Please respect my choices.

The YouTuber That Makes You Laugh: First is someone that makes you laugh and I have to give it to Teresa Is Dead. I just got into her recently because so many people have recommended her and finally got to watch her stuff and man she does crack me up. I also want to give it to Nappy Headed Hahoba which she doesn’t do many beauty stuff but she is also entertaining. I got into her all thanks to Jen Luv’s Reviews interviewing her and it was pretty funny and I did watch one of her videos or two or maybe three but she is pretty funny and I do love her catch phrase at the end.
The Person That Teaches You: I have to give it to Jen Luv’s Reviews! I got into her all thanks to watching monthly Ipsy videos when I wanted to know who else got what and then knew about her weekly live chats and her group, what’s up in Makeup. I love how she does her makeup videos because she breaks down a lot of products when it comes to ingredients and how they work, how high up it is in the list and so on and what I also like about her is that she does mention what skin type won’t like the product. It does help me since I do have a lot of sensitive and dry skin especially when she points out the alcohol being drying even denatured alcohol over time. I will admit I used to use alcohol for acne and it did dry my skin and ever since I moved from Orlando to the coast I have a better skin regimen now then I had before. Plus, she makes me think when it comes to the topics she talks about on her chat because we hardly think about it until she explains what she sees and how she observes. Also, she does mention she is not perfect in her edits and I am happy that she is not. We always want the perfect person on YouTube but we do make mistakes and glad Jen does do her edits and say that she messed up or explains something better. One video I do want to recommend is the one on lip balms which is a two part video because it explains the ingredients especially the bad ones and I think that should be something everyone should know when it comes to taking care of the lips.
A Creator That Lifts Others Up: I give it to Jen again because she always shouts out so many people on YouTube and tells everyone to check their channel out and of course Smoky Glow too since she is always a sweetheart and honestly talks about different topics. I rather watch someone who lifts other YouTubers and say what it is when it comes to products and all thanks to Smoky Glow she did mention Smashbox when it came to brands being forgotten and that is my next episode on my channel for Beauty Forgotten.
A Creator You Respect: This is an interesting category but one I do respect is 90s Love Child. I came onto her with the deconstruction of Kat Von D and how honest she is when it came to how much the brand changed within the past few years and she does give a lot of honesty in her Anti-Hauls, her Beauty Regrets, and so on and it is one of those channels should be watched when it comes to not buying anything.
Someone’s Collection You Love: I have to give it to both Young Wild & Polished and Angelica Nyquist! Reason being is that I have watched these two and I am impressed with what they have. Young Wild & Polished is mostly into nail colors but she does love eye shadows and she got me interested in Makeup Geek which I am trying to explore a little more and her hauls have been something I have enjoyed. I rarely see her post but I think so many people post so many videos in my subscription feed that it’s hard to keep up. While Angelica, I do love how she does her Makeup Going On the Wish List or Nah videos because like me she is trying to curb the purchasing and I like how honest she is towards what gets released with the brands she already buys from. I do find it interesting that Sweden does get some releases that we don’t or they get it first before we get it and I also find it interesting that Glossy Box was originally from Sweden and they get different items in their boxes. I also want to add and forgot about this creator and that is Spooky Lips & Fat Hips because she has a huge trunk for her pallets and makeup! I wonder how heavy that is since she and her boyfriend did move to an apartment in New York and she has talked about brands that she has been eyeing so many things on but also wants to go through a Low Buy which the struggles are real.
Creator Whose Creativity Inspires You: Wow, this is hard because so many people have given me ideas for doing tags and I’ve seen so many who have done so many makeup looks but I would say Danielle Schmidt and Nicole Quinn. Danielle is a very peppy personality and when she had her divorce I’ve noticed how she limited her makeup purchasing and I think she inspired me in doing a Low Buy because I notice that my bank account goes pretty low after buying something from Ipsy sometimes or Ulta and so on. I do have to say is that all thanks to her doing one tag which is What Would I Grab from a Fire? I show her my post and she replied and was impressed with what I chose since she does reply to her comments. With Nicole Quinn, on the other hand, I do love how she does her many looks videos which I want to do something like that with some of my pallets I don’t always have the time to do but she does inspire me into looking at the colors and know what to work with in that pallet. I also have bought some of the Urban Decay releases all thanks to her videos that deal with looks, I even saw her Naked Ultraviolet Review and I am looking forward to this pallet since it is going to be released on Ulta’s website and app tomorrow and she did point out some of the shades she had some good use of. I can’t wait to do my video on it.
Creators You Want to Be Friends with in Real Life: Jen Luv’s Reviews, Hot Mess Mama MD and Spooky Lips & Fat Hips! Reasons with Jen is that she is very nice and she always loves to talk to people when it comes to giving makeup advice, also talking about new releases, and of course she has been starting to do things to interact with the audience more like making one of her live shows more of a radio show recently which was really cool. Not only that, she does look out for people even has her community mods looking out for her group and YouTube. Back in 2018 when I started working I got a message from one of the mods about how one of my makeup pictures was posted in a makeup bullying group where they roast your looks and they kicked the girl out for it because it is a huge no-no in the group. So I got home and did a live video saying not to be the makeup bully because I was devastated about it and even told everyone on the post that was talking about these groups that have been popping up that I was a victim. I talked about my video and they asked for the link and I did and Jen was one of the people who commented on it and I was happy and it did cheer me up. With Hot Mess Mama MD, I would love to be friends with her in real life because of how she accepts herself as a makeup addict. The addiction is real and you can get caught up in it very quickly where you can buy a lot of makeup without realizing it and I have done that when I first opened my Ulta card and I am working on getting it paid which is harder than I thought. I also love how she does videos with her kids especially the Mother vs. Daughter with Ipsy and she used to do chats as well. And finally Spooky Lips, she is a total nerd and I can talk with her about our favorite fandoms all day. I even love how she does her chats or used to do them but rarely see any posts, I guess due to the amount of people I subscribe to but she has a very awesome personality and I would love to visit New York and visit her.
Creators I Want to See Grow: I would have to see us! As in Nerdy SHique Universe! Even though we started just doing convention related content but we do want to keep stuff going up in between conventions because we don’t attend all of them like we used to and you know some reasons why and other reasons is due to funds and we have to sometimes choose wisely. Yes, I am keeping an eye out for RangerStop 8 because we had a blast and I want to keep going because it is small and people are fun and friendly to hang with. Plus I am among the blind creators and I do get to sit down with people and interview and of course we do have our podcast now which I want to grow that as well. Another person I want to see grow is Porcelain because I love how she is honest with her thoughts on makeup even the products she has used and how well they worked and how much they didn’t work. Plus YouTube is her full time job which she did have a retail job that didn’t go well due to her mental health but I want to see her grow as a channel and I love her personality as in she is Goth but she is so happy all the time in her videos. She does go serious sometimes but most of the time she is all smiles!
A Creator That Gives Off Good Vibes: There are so many but I would have to give it to Hot Mess Mama MD because like I said she accepts who she is and she doesn’t have to fake it. I also give it to Elizabeth Wolf because she talks about BoxyCharm and any spoilers to look out for. And finally Self Taught Beauty, I love this woman’s personality because of how she says it best that she likes to not only do beauty content but other things sometimes.

Well guys that is it for this tag post! Man there were a lot! I do have to say is check out these creators because they need some love on YouTube especially now since everything has become one nuclear mess due to what is going on. We need to support the smaller creators since they can get there and still stay true to themselves without getting an expensive car and other things. If we would, we would so have the Supernatural Jeep due to our nerd sides but we already have a car that we deem the Tartus. Anyways, next will be that book review since I am wrapping up in reading it. I am so sorry about that since June was a bit of a crazy month for me, especially before going into it. Stay tuned guys!

The Tag Quadrant: All About My Eye Shadow Pallets!

Hello to you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new tag post!

Eye Shadow Pallet Tag!

I’ve been seeing this tag around and have seen a few and wanted to do this one and that is the Eye Shadow Pallet Tag. I have a lot of shadow pallets and haven’t been buying any lately, last one I got was the Tuscany Intense Pallet and waiting for Cremated to be re-stocked so let’s see what I have to say! Also…

Disclaimer: This tag is based on thoughts on shadow pallets that the writer of this blog owns. Please don’t judge her tastes and purchase decisions that will be mentioned! Thank you!

Show Your Newest Pallet: My newest pallet is the Ease to Wear Pallet from Studio Makeup which came in my BoxyCharm this month. This is a neutral pallet that anyone can wear and it smells like Tarte shadows not going to lie. I haven’t been using it because I haven’t been wearing that much makeup during the quarantine and well this past Tuesday I got hurt all thanks to a dumpster door at our dumpster in my complex hitting me in the face and cutting my cheek open so I have to wait until the sutures fall off before I use my skin care or makeup. Glad I did get this even though there was another shadow pallet that could have been placed in my box but neutral is my way to go for everyday if I wanted and also for work looks. I will have to use this at some point.
Show Your Oldest Pallet: I would have to say my oldest pallet would be the Urban Decay Smoked Pallet that is the zipped up pallet that also came with the 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Perversion and I remembered getting this. I was still a student at the time at my workplace and when Ulta said that this is on sale for half-off I decided to get it since I have enjoyed the Naked Basics pallet since I already used up my old Naked Basics before I opened my newer one when it was on the discontinued list. I remembered one time I wore the Smoked and took a picture for What’s up in Makeup and people made fun of my look and I never knew people could be mean if you use something that can be a bit vintage in your collection and I have loved this pallet since I do love doing smoky eyes for years. I still have it but haven’t touched it after that photo. I have a feeling it was used in the makeup shaming group because this happened to me when I started working where I got a message on Messenger from the WUM Moderators and they told me what had happened and I was upset and did a video about it when I got home. Not sure if it was that picture but it is a feeling.
Show you’re Most Expensive Pallet: I give it to both the Jeffree Starr Blue Blood Pallet and the Urban Decay Game of Thrones Pallet! If I got Cremated that would be in this too but nope! Anyways, these two pallets were purchased last year. When I saw Bunny talking about the Blue Blood pallet I had to have it because she described the shades so well and I love blue so much! I was lucky to get the bundle with the liquid lipsticks and have enjoyed what I created so far. I still have shadows in there to try in that thing which I haven’t pulled out as of late but I may combine it with some looks with Cremated. While Game of Thrones, I am a fan of the books to tell you the truth, still reading A Feast for Crows which will take me forever to read due to how long these books are! Anyways, this was a collector’s item and the shades are beautiful but I heard some people were having issues with blending but I think I was able to have an easy time with it since I was using the House Starke quad from this and Urban Decay is really pigmented with their shadows and have no issues. Plus this had FOMO written all over it even though I was able to purchase it on the Urban Decay website and had to wait for the Mother of Dragons Highlighter Pallet to come to Ulta. I admit I haven’t touched it in a while since it is kind of heavy and still want to try more of the other quads and mix and match.
Show Your Most Affordable Shadow Pallets: I do have two of the E. L. F. Bite Size pallets but I haven’t used them yet like most people but I would give this to the Colour Pop Nude Mood Shadow Pallet! I have heard how awesome the monochromatic pallets that Color Pop has been releasing like crazy but the one that got me was Nude Mood due to the colors being pretty. I did use it once and they were really pigmented and easy to blend. If you haven’t tried the powder formula you must because it is a really good formula and you can get single shadows for $5 and customize your own pallet.
Show Your Every Day Pallet: This one’s hard but I would have to say the pallet I created with shadows from Coastal Scents! It is a Z Pallet with shadow pans I purchased through the Hot Pot sales that Coastal Scents tend to do off and on and I love these things because I can just customize to my heart’s content and be able to have an everyday look with whatever I wear. Plus I have a blush in there too that is every day wear and they are easy to blend. A little bit of warning make sure you don’t stick your finger and get it on your skin, I had that happen to me a couple of times and my supervisor had to help me clean that up. Anyways, they are really good and yes the price did go up to $3 but worth it even with the half off sale. I did have to get replacements for my blue shadow column since I sometimes wear blue outfits and want to match and glad to get new shades for that column.
Show Your Most Colorful Pallet: I give this to the Vintage Dawn pallet from Ace Bouteau! Reason being is that it is my most colorful free standing pallet and also my Ulta makeup sets I got last Christmas time. First to mention the Vintage Dawn pallet since I got it in BoxyCharm. This pallet features shadows that can be seen at dawn and it feels that they chose really interesting shades to play with such as yellow, yellow orange, a few reds, even two blues in this pallet and it’s fun to play around to give an interesting take on the color wheel because you can go all colorful or all neutral with the browns, the green, the golds and so on. I want to get the Scarlet Dusk and see if I can how the shadows can play with each other since that has more of a red and purple feel but in the meantime I do have this one. While the Ulta sets, on the other hand, you can play with so many things with these sets. They have so many colors in the big ones as well and you can do so many looks with the shadows. I have to give it to Glamour On the Go because it has really pretty green shades alongside blues and of course I will be taking this with me to conventions since it is a compact set I can just pull out and not have to worry about putting so many makeup pallets or compacts in my luggage. I still have the Be Gorgeous set in tact since that was a colorful dream right there from 2017 and still my favorite.
Show Your Smallest Pallet: My Urban Decay Naked Mini Pallet! I haven’t touched this either but felt like mentioning it since I got it in the Urban Decay Honey Set which came with the Amber eyeliner, the Honey Setting Spray, and the Honey Shadow Primer Potion and I love the Naked Honey Pallet and was wondering if like the Naked Heat if it was coming out with a mini as well and guess what? It did but in a set which kind of sucked but hey what can you do? This is in a different format from the mini versions of Naked and Naked 2 and Heat where this used more of a cardboard packaging over the plastic and it had the shadows three by three and side by side which I prefer! There are times where I see them in a row and not sure where they are positioned and grab the wrong one but here it is better to get what you need since they are side by side and do a three shadow look. I have to use this and see how it goes and use it with my Naked Honey pallet too since like with Heat it did come with shadows that didn’t appear in the Naked Honey.
Show Your Biggest Pallet: I have mentioned it but my Game of Thrones and of course giving it to the Emily Edit Wants Pallet from Makeup Revolution. The Game of Thrones pallet came in a box that you slide the pallet out and you have the throne pull out on top which made it pretty heavy in the first place but wishing it was in a pallet that just shows off scenes in pictures than just the wasteful throne. My opinion right there. While the Emily Edit Wants Pallet, it was really good! I know there was some controversy about the application of this pallet but I had no issue putting it on with my brushes since there are times where brushes do apply makeup well and other times a finger would do and I am not a finger in my application person. I would only do it with shadow primers if need be and guiding my pencils and brushes. This pallet was big for the amount of shadows you get and they are colors that fit with Emily’s life and did like how she put the pallet together. I did enjoy the green shades and of course the maroon type shades that came in this pallet yes Makeup Revolution can be hit or miss but glad this was a hit!
Show Your Pallet With the Best Memory: I would give it to the Too Faced Merry Macarons pallet! I remembered this one sold out all over the place during 2016 and it was on my Christmas List and when I found out it was back in stock at the Ulta my dad went to because he wanted to still get it for me since he felt bad about it selling out and when I heard it was in stock I begged the store associate over the phone to hold it for me. She tried being snippety about it like, “Not sure if we can do that.” And then I said, “Please!” A couple of times and she said, “Fine, I will hold it until noon for you.” And I rushed to my dad’s room and got him up and out of bed and told him what happened and he got me the pallet even though it did come with the Better Than Sex Mascara deluxe size but mainly cared about the shadow pallet. I still have it and it’s still pigmented. The smell slightly gone away since it was a subtle cookie smell to it.
Show A Pallet With A Lot of Hype: I give it to the Naked Honey pallet from Urban Decay and the Beached Pallet from them too. I remembered when the Beached Pallet coming out for summer 2018 and was still living with my parents and this caught my eye so much! I saw so many people talking about the shades even the teal shades really caught my interest due to how nice and deep they were and they did go well with the bronze shades in this pallet. Plus it’s easy to travel and you can just use a few here and there for a nice look and add either a blue liner or a bronze liner. While the Naked Honey, on the other hand, this was a really good pallet and people have enjoyed it, even me, plus so many compliments were made on what I wore with this pallet. I think this was the best release from Urban Decay in 2019 since they have done three or four releases last year and glad they stuck it to that since most brands are over saturating the market and this has been a brand I turned to for their Naked pallets if I wanted to pull one out for a particular look.
Show a Pallet that’s not worth the Hype: Sorry guys but anything Morphe is not worth the hype. I feel that so many people hype the brand up that I can’t go a few videos without hearing that this brand is amazing or use my code and so on. I have heard how the Jacklyn Hill Vault was not that great and how she re-released it within a month and as most companies do it and explain, like Marlena from Makeup Geek and Jeffree Starr, eye shadows take time to formulate and press and on top of that go through try on to see if the formula is just right before release and I feel that Moirphe just presses and releases with a lot of their shadow pallets. After trying the Vegan Brush set I felt like my money is better in going towards better brush sets from other brands and shadows I have loved over time.
Show A Favorite Pallet From a Favorite Brand: The Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics! I love this pallet because it is so versatile and I love it as a go to work pallet. It is so blendable and I love the color scheme in this pallet since it just have more of a softer look to it and love how it stays on. I did find out the hard way that they discontinued the Naked 2 which makes me sad about that and hoping they bring a Naked 2 Reloaded pallet like with the first and I did notice that the mirror always fell off in the Naked 2 which was pretty bad so I had to toss it. Hoping they do a relaunch of the Naked 2. Still the Naked 2 Basics is always a favorite from Urban Decay in my book and hoping they keep it!

Well guys that is it for this tag! Glad to do this since it does kind of made me think about what I’ve enjoyed in my collection and what I have missed since I haven’t touched some of my makeup throughout quarantine unless it was to try something new for Instagram or for a video. Glad that this tag was created and had fun talking about eye shadow pallets from the past and the present and my thoughts on them. What is next? Reading another book so you have to wait and see! Until next time! Stay beautiful!

The Tag Quadrant: The Boujee Beauty Youtuber/Blogger Tag!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! Since Hurricane Dorian is out in the Atlantic I figured I should post this before he gets close.

The Boujee Beauty YouTuber/Blogger Tag!

Disclaimer: What I am about to talk about in this tag is based on my opinion! I don’t have the same thoughts and opinions as everyone else so please respect!

Well, time for another tag! I saw this on Spooky Lips and Fat Hips’ channel through my subscription feed. I learned about her through Angelica Nyquist and thought I would check her out and even Karen Harris also mentioned her. She is a gothic YouTuber that loves makeup and when I watched her video since other people did it too she tagged everyone who was watching. I figured it would be fun to do a post since I am not only on YouTube but also here on Word Press! So enjoy what I have to say!

Would you rather buy one expensive/luxury or a group of items for the same kind of money? Hmmm! I would say there are times where I do get one expensive item and then get a lower priced item unless I have a coupon while other times I do buy one or two or maybe many items for a certain amount since I do love my drugstore items more than a luxury or expensive item. I do pay my bills so I do think about what I will be spending even with the upcoming 21 Days of Beauty where I am just focusing on three items at the moment.
When you’re buying products do you believe in the phrase “You get what you paid for?” Sometimes yes while other times no. There are the everyday YouTuber that reviews items honestly and that makes me think about purchasing the item since that’s important because if you buy something that is extremely expensive and it turns out crappy then it’s not worth it. Plus, there are items I have gotten that either aren’t reviewed really high that work out for me and times where that product was not that great in the end. It can be a win type situation depending on what you get. Plus, there are times when I do buy items I really love and continue purchasing because it did work out in the end.
What’s the most expensive item you have purchased with your own money? I would say my Jeffree Starr Blue Blood Bundle! As you know that I love the color blue and it is our color aesthetic for this blog and this past spring Jeffree Starr released his Blue Blood pallet and it became the Hunger Games over on his site, Beautylish, and Beauty Bay! I got the bundle with the pallet and the mini liquid lipsticks for $100 because I wanted to try his lipstick formula and oh man it was worth it! I wore Abused to my friends’ birthday party this year and they thought it looked amazing on me and I do love the root beer scent that Jeffree puts in his lipsticks and they are more moisturizing than others. While the pallet, on the other hand, I have to keep it from being used so much because the colors are so amazing in pigmentation! I wished I tried his stuff earlier but glad to do it now!
Are you willing to buy products at full price or at a discount? Both! Because there are times that a product is really new and I must have my paws on it that I wait for the release like for instance the Urban Decay Naked Honey pallet coming out in September since I do love the Naked series and have been collecting the pallets and do use them time to time. While other times they do go on sale and I do love the coupons and the discounts places give out like E. L. F., Colour Pop and even Ulta! I love Ulta’s point system and even their sales like 21 Days of Beauty where they do a day for certain products from 25% off to half price. I can’t wait for this coming one since I have my eye on Tarte’s blushes, the Dose of Colors lipsticks, and the Urban Decay eye pencils. And I did love my birthday discount which as Platinum I get $10 off and since I am close to Diamond I think I get something different. I will see how that goes. I do save my points like I did this past birthday so I am saving my points for the Naked Honey.
Where do you shop beauty products the most? I would say both Ulta and Target! Reason being is that Target tends to have their beauty items cheaper than most places like CVS, Walgreens, even Walmart when they say they have the lowest prices but I am asking again, do you guys feel like Walmart is raising their prices? I feel it. Anyways, I do use Shipt and Target is my number one place for food and beauty products when I need them in a pinch especially skin care. I am loving the Up & Up brand since I am trying their moisturizer which I am going to say is that it’s better get drugstore items for skin care since they are stepping up. While Ulta, like everyone else, they have an amazing points system which you can save them for money off a higher end to luxury item. Remembered when I mentioned my birthday? I saved up to $20 in points to buy myself my new flat iron, the new Urban Decay foundation, and a bottle of my favorite Wet N Wild foundation and added my birthday coupon. Plus, there are times where they do really good sales on different departments like around Christmas they do a certain percentage on hair tools, they do that 21 Days of Beauty sale twice a year, even 20% off at random times with the different tiers of membership where you can also use it on prestige brands. Not only is that BoGO also good too! For instance, I got half off on one Maybelline mascara recently when I bought another tube of the Angel Falsies mascara.
How often do you get your nails and/or hair done? Normally I do those things at home! I remembered getting a French manicure and it broke on me in two days because my nails get abused due to my typing and also washing dishes. I also rather buy my own nail polish, top coat, and base coat, and of course nail polish remover which would cost you the same as a manicure at a salon or beauty school. While hair, the last time I had it done professionally was highlights at a beauty school in town which I may not go to again since they made my hair go twiggy after blow drying it and putting hair spray. That is a bad thing and I had to put so much of my R&B to get it back to normal, oh right Shine So Bright too! I am not sure who teaches the hair coloring department but hair spray and hair drying after getting it done is bad since you hair can get damaged after chemicals touch it or it’s depending on the type of hair you do it on. Besides, when I get my hair flat ironed it is my own flat iron which I did get a new one from Con Air and using the Marc Anthony Hair Dryer cream as my protectant. I also rather trust my tools over the professional ones and plus sometimes you are paying a lot for a hair stylist to do it too. I think the next time I will have my hair done professionally is my wedding.
Do you prefer long or short nails? Short! I do love the ease of long nails for scratching that annoying itch but I hate it when they break so often so I clip them and plus I do read Braille so one false scratch there it goes!
Which makeup brush brand is your favorite? Like Lacey in her video I get my brushes from so many brands it is not even funny. I mainly get them through my boxes every month like Ipsy, Glam Bag Plus, heck BoxyCharm got some during July, and I think I got one or two in Allure so far. Plus, I do buy them on special from Ipsy and of course from Amazon because you can get really good brush sets for good prices. Oh right, even Coastal Scents have good brushes and you hardly hear about them on YouTube anymore.
High end or drugstore mascara? I admit both! I tend to have my mascaras last more than three months. I know it’s a hygiene issue but if it’s still liquidy then I am good or if my eyes hurt slightly or water then it has to go! My all-time favorite high end mascara has to be the Urban Decay Perversion mascara because of how great it curls my lashes and even lengthens them. I remembered getting my first sample of it in my Ipsy bag and then more samples followed suit until Ulta put it on sale for the 21 Days of Beauty and this mascara stays liquidy even past its expiration date and it took me so long to finish it before it dried too. While my favorite drugstore one goes to Rimmel London because the Super Curl is better than the Roller Lash from Benefit in my opinion because it does the same as that one! And of course I do enjoy the ones from Maybelline like the Colossal Cat Eye, the Angel Push Up, and now added Lash Discovery which is holding up pretty well so far.
Think of your favorite makeup brand, is it drugstore, high end, luxury, or indie? I would say my favorite drugstore brands are of course Wet N Wild and NYX Professional Makeup because those two were my starts in makeup. I still remember how my first lip gloss came from Wet N Wild and it was from a Kmart that used to be open up the street from my parents’ place which is now an Ulta. While NYX had more of the items I liked to use and even with the packaging since I prefer using concealers in jars over wands, even have eye primers in jars, heck I prefer the Hydro Touch primer the most since my skin is so dry. When it comes to high end, Urban Decay was my gateway into that side since my first item from them, full size by the way, was their Naked Basics pallet. I have grown a lot when it came to my makeup choices.
Considering your answers do you think you’re boujee? Nope! The thing is you don’t have to spend a lot to love makeup. Yes, I do like getting some of the higher end stuff but I do love going back to my drugstore roots when it comes to skin care, hair care, and of course the makeup staples. It’s not like I spend a lot on Chanel clothes and always buy Natasha Denona makeup pallets, you mainly see me using a BH Cosmetics pallet or a Wet N Wild trio time to time when most of my other high end stuff come from subscriptions or just get them from sales if I can. One good example is the Sephora birthday gift a few years ago when I got the Marc Jacobs gift. It was not worth it because the lipstick felt like I was wearing Cream Cup from Mac when their Spooky Lips and Fat Hips aka Lacey’s Channellipsticks around $17 each while Marc Jacobs is up in the $50 range. I even remembered how Gondras’ mom got mad at a seasonal worker at Lush who treated me badly and even caused my skin rash had a schpeel about how I could just go into Sephora for my skin care needs when I just go to Target instead and plus with Lush I can get way more than just shopping from Sephora, just saying.

Anyways, that is it for this post! I know it was a lot and I feel like it was easy for me to say this stuff in blog format. I will link you guys to Lacey’s channel since she is a really good YouTuber and I enjoyed what she had to say in her video. I will have the next book review up since I am re-reading The Librarian’s Vampire Assistant Book 3. Stay tuned!

The Beauty Quadrant: The Bad & Boring Tag!

Hello to all of my beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with a new post and it is a tag!

The Bad & Boring MakeUp Tag!

This is a new tag flying around on YouTube and that is the Bad & Boring MakeUp Tag where people get to talk about what’s bad or boring to them. A little disclaimer, not all products are so amazing that the angels will be singing their praises even Jacklyn Hill would tell you to buy it like she always does. There are duds within makeup and I will be talking about those and they are based on my own opinion so please respect.

Makeup finish you don’t like? Okay, first question up is this one! It’s hard to choose because I only really stick to one foundation and that is the Phot Focus line from Wet N Wild and I can’t really say if I don’t like the finish. I do love it because it doesn’t break me out but I would say having a foundation with SPF so I would put it under Protection Finish. I can’t really do anything with SPF in it even though I live in a coastal town right now and I do go outside to get some fresh air during morning break and well SPF makeup breaks me out. For instance, I tried a moisturizer from Paula’s Choice I got back in my Ipsy August 2014 bag and that broke me out and when I got the IT Cosmetics CC Cream with SPF 20 I think and used it in Miami I came back with a big zit on my face. So I can’t do that finish at all. Heck, I gave a co-worker my Yensa foundation sample I got in my Ipsy bag due to the SPF in it.
The Worst Mascara You’ve Ever Tried? I would say the L’Oréal Feline Noir would be the worst one I have ever tried. The thing is that Miss Manga was discontinued and you all know that is my Ride or Die especially with cosplaying and when I saw that they discontinued it I was really sad and even sadder when I had to toss my final tube after it drying out but had one last good use. Before it was discontinued, at the same time they released the Feline Noir and I loved and still use the Colossal Cat Eye from Maybelline and thought that this would be similar but it did NOTHING to my lashes. It felt like my lashes had nothing on them when I wore it. I know when I have mascara on when my lashes are curled and separated like no other and that my natural length is being shown! This one nope! I felt like I just have my shadow and liner and nothing else. Oh yes, it was supposed to be the next Miss Manga but this is not it! Please L’Oréal bring back my beloved Miss Manga!
One Thing You’ve Tried Once and Threw Away: I would have to give it to Ribbon from COlour Pop. If you remembered that Colour Pop did a Hello Kitty collection and you know me with Sanrio items that I must have almost all of them. When I saw this collection was on sale, I saw the lipstick Ribbon on sale and it was a Matte Liquid Lipstick I think? I know they have various formulas and I was excited to get this one since it was in the iconic Hello Kitty red ribbon color that you see on her. This one turned me into Suicide Squad live-action Harley Quin! As in, it smudged all over my face! It did not stay in one place it just went all over and I had to toss it. I could not salvage it with lip liner or even my beloved E. L. F. Lip Primer would save it. I had to throw it out even if it was limited edition. I also admit another product but it took me a few tries before throwing it away and that is or they were the Girlactic Lip Balm pencils I got in my Glam Bag Plus a month ago. These were very drying and hard to sharpen! IT would be one thing if they put these in a chubby stick form or made it more of those automatic pencil type ones since it can be easier to bring up rather than sharpen a pencil because I could hardly fit these in my E. L. F. cosmetic pencil sharpener. I had to toss them.
Most Boring Shadow Pallets You Own? Hmm…that is hard! If I were to pick I would have to give it to the shadow pallet from one of the Ulta sets I got in 2017 which I got in a mint case? I forgot the name of it but that was a pretty boring eye shadow pallet because it had colors that were hard for me to work with. I am not sure who made up the color scheme for it but they should have added more silvers or a few more greys to it in my opinion. Another one would be the unicorn shaped pallet I got from Hot Topic last year. I love unicorns and that pallet did not scream unicorns at all because it had mainly brown shades, it was mainly a smoky pallet with two blues. I think they were going with the trend of neutral with a blue and even though it’s nice but that pallet did not scream unicorns even though I did like the blush and highlighter. I think I make better shadow pallet decisions based on colors I like. I think the Midnight Unicorn was better despite having a red in there.
A MakeUp Trend You Find Boring? Hmmm! This sound interesting since there are so many things out there but I would have to say is neutral pallets even with one pop of color. I think this has been a done to death trend lately and I think a lot of brands are starting to break away but some have been still doing it. It started with a neutral pallet with a pop of blue or purple or even green but a lot of people have been yelling for more colors to show up and agree that should be done more to make it more interesting. I am glad that a lot of brands have been coming out with some blue pallets even green, heck now neons are coming back since Urban Decay had discontinued the Electric Pallet a while back and giving other colors a chance is helping break away from it. Still some brands are still doing the neutral pallets. I do love my neutrals but sometimes I do love my colors in the color wheel.
What Color Do You Find Boring? Hmmm! I would have to say black! There are so many pallets with at least one black but they keep on adding to it. As in sparkle or making it more of a black brown, etc. It may be my favorite color but it seems like it’s almost in every shadow pallet I’ve seen or hear. Heck, I used my Flawless Ultra 32 and the last two columns sport different shades or variations of black. You can play with more shades than that.
What Brand Do You Think Have the Most Boring Releases? I give it to Morphe! I admit I tried one brush kit and that was the vegan one, I was tempted to get the Jeffree Starr one but to me they come out with the most boring stuff ever. Doesn’t help when people love to shove this brand into your face by saying it has the best eye shadows, sponges, and brushes. To tell you the truth, I’ve tried really good brushes from the brands in Ipsy and BoxyCharm like Luxie, IBY, SL Miss Glam, and so many more. Heck, a good portion of my brushes came from Amazon! I even enjoy the blending eggs from Beauty Bakerie since I just got those and have tried the sponges from Juno & Company all thanks to Hot Mess Mama MD! Not only that, with their shadow pallets they come out with pallets based on that color like one just purples, another oranges, and so on. That’s nice but some of them are pretty pricey and you can get really cheap pallets not only in that color scheme like Colour Pop now but you can get more variety, also I heard some of the shadow pallets don’t perform as they are claimed and you can get pigmented shadows from other brands. Another brand, even though I love some of their products and most of my items come from it is NYX Professional MakeUP. Some of their pallets that do come out don’t excite me to buy them as much as they used to. I do still have all three Dream Catcher pallets and making major dents but some of the new ones have not excited me as much as their lip items, some of their face items, and so on. I think it’s because of trying so hard to fit the trend but some of the trends have been changing as time goes on. The only pallet I did get was the Swear by It Pallet since that contains the shadows I would need in one look. The Steam Punk Collection was nice but they did have two shades in the pallet I got that didn’t really fit since Steam Punk is known for just being earth tones and neutral tones. Wishing I got one of the other pallets though but hey I do learn. And of course, agreeing with a lot of them, Tarte! Even though I have been getting back into them but they need to really step out of the neutral zone! The only pallet I have seen them do that was the Tartiste Pro Remix because of the colors they put in there and you are wondering where those in other pallets are? They should keep going with that because the more colorful shadows they bring out are so good, especially the Swamp Queen pallet a few years back. Tarte you need to really get up your game.
Which Is the Most Boring In Your MakeUp Routine? Hmmm, like everyone else is brows! I do have a nice arch but doing the brows even for work with my clear gel from E. L. F. is boring because you’re pretty much putting on certain products in a straight or almost straight horizontal line on both sides and you’re done! I know there were new eyebrow trends around 2015 or was it 2016 where people on Instagram were doing really different things with their brows? Still a boring step. I also give it to lips since nowadays everyone is coming out with lip glosses due to the trend changing. But lip gloss, lip sticks, and even lip liners have been around for many, many, MANY years and they have kind of stayed the same. I think Maybelline was the one that stepped out and made newer things for their Color Sensational Brand but I rarely hear much of them anymore.
If You Were to Choose Between a Good Base and a Bad Eye Look or a Bad Base With a Good Eye Look, Which One Would You Choose? Oh man, I would say the Bad Base because there are times where I did make poor eye shadow base decisions and did not like how they performed. For instance the shadow bases that come with brush applicators. They are nice but you run out product so quickly, especially the E. L. F. ones where I feel like there’s nothing in there and when I put my shadow on my shadow sometimes goes to crap or it comes out totally amazing. That is why I prefer the potted bases like the Mac Paint Pots and the ones from NYX that are in little jars because those are easier to apply and I can make really good looks with. Plus, we do have bad eye shadow days anyways, there was one day at work where I went ham on my Coastal Scents shadow with the blues and I smudged it all over my face. Not kidding!

Well, that’s it! I had fun with this one because it does make you think of what is bad or boring and you do have your thoughts about it. I want to do the MakeUp Purchases Tag that Danielle Schmidt also did but will wait for another day to do it. And if I were to tag anyone, Vivi you’re it! So, until then! Stay beautiful while traveling the nerd universe!

Tags: MakeUp Memories

Hello to all my beautiful nerds traveling the vast universe! I’m back here on Word Press this time after working on YouTube which I will be taking a break from beauty videos. I was inspired to do another tag!

Makeup Memories Tag!

Today’s tag is another one from Angelica Nyquist but she was inspired by another YouTuber that said, “Everyone’s tagged!” Why not do it too since I do have some stories which I love to tell!

1. Oldest makeup in your collection: Oh man! I have a ton of items I do have that have been pretty old and most of it is in my Project Pan bag. I have like the old Wet N Wild three and eight pan pallets and my fave one of all of those is still Steel My Thunder which is a silver trio I got a long time ago for adding up for a huge Walgreens coupon and it was hard to get to that limit. I even have the ELF Night shadow book which looks like a hard back book and it has shadows ranging from the pinks to smoky greys and blacks. And of course the Disney Villains pallets from years ago, so yeah I have tons of older releases and I think some of the stuff got discontinued and trying to hit pan on.
2. The first makeup item you ever purchased: The very first makeup item I ever got was Wet N Wild’s lip glosses when they were in more standard lip gloss packaging. When I was twenty-three, I got my first lip gloss since I never wore makeup until that point. I figured it would be a nice start and it was and I always wanted to try anything from Wet N Wild when we still had Kmart in my part of town. Ever since then I always loved to get Wet N Wild and it takes up a good portion of my collection.
3. Favorite makeup era: This is a hard question because I did remember the different makeup looks back in the 1990s and how different it was but if I had to choose it would be around now because it feels like makeup has come a long way with color, formulation, and so on. I remembered how Chloe Morello mentioned before primers they used Milk of Magnesia as their face primer and now we have primers from Wet N Wild to Too Faced and many more.
4. The darkest of your makeup era: I would have to say when I started practicing putting on makeup without a mirror. As you know being visually impaired is a hard thing to get through and not being able to see myself in the mirror to apply something is not an easy feat. I always had so many makeup smudges around my eyes and liner running all over the place because I had to fix it. I remembered how bad my mom put me down for it and that is why I practiced for so many years. I hate how she calls me a vampire still when I go into more creative looks.
5. Best makeup related memory: I would say getting comments from the beauty YouTubers when I comment because I get to talk to them about this stuff and get to tell my experiences. I remembered one really good memory was when I was in one of the’s up in Makeup chats where Jen noticed my comment and she goes, “I hope I got this right!” And got my name right on the first try! I know it sounds silly but when you hear my real name it’s a hard name to pronounce in person and that is why I go by Mari so people can have an easier time but hearing it pronounced correctly by her was a huge accomplishment in my book. I need to go back to the chats some time since Jen’s back. I even love the replies I get from Danielle Schmidt and And That’s Jacob since I sometimes ask him for makeup advice due to how he was a makeup artist himself and I asked about the Mac Paint Pots and got Painterly for my first time and asked what brush he uses and he replied that he uses a dense one which I use brushes with any of my potted eye bases.
6. Worst makeup memory: I have two! I remembered used to wearing liquid liner and one day somehow it ran without me even knowing and I adjusted it too until someone from Paratransit asked if I was being a cat and I asked, “What?” He said my eyeliner was running really badly and that was when I decided I needed to get pencil eyeliners for now on because the brush applicators are messy! I am not kidding, even today I still have issues so that is why I dip in my own eyeliner brush if I have a liquid liner because I find it easier to apply with those than the applicators that come with the liner and it makes it thinner in my opinion. Second bad memory, this was a little after I joined the What’s Up In Makeup Group and this got Vivi to join after talking about it with her and Stellar nan. So, if anyone remembered the Urban Decay Smoked Pallet and how it was discontinued in 2014. I bought this as my second Urban Decay product and was happy to find out it was on sale and one day I decided to pull it out and do a look with it. I thought I didn’t do too bad of a job and took a pic for the group and some people apparently put “Ha-ha” as a reaction since people pointed out how funny I looked and someone bashed my picture and said, “It sucked! Why aren’t you guys helping her in this group?” I was torn! I even made a big comment saying, “Hey! I am doing my best despite not being able to see a mirror. That pallet was a discontinued one and I wanted to use it.” Something to that extent, I think I had a huge speech. I think I find it interesting with older pallets the formulation is not as great as it is today since so many brands work and make better products and try to improve their quality as time goes on and I can see where Naked Smoky picked up where Smoked left off. I still have it and I still love the shadows in it because I love my smoky looks and I always had when I started. I even remembered still getting some odd comments about using the older Wet N Wild pallets and still said, “I did say this was an older pallet.” Which is true I am trying to pan the older Wet N Wild stuff I have at the moment. So that is my bad memory or memories.
7. Old flame as in an old product you love to covet: I would say the Ulta Just In Case set! I still have this even if I have tried depotting some of the items which I wish it was easier if Ulta made some of their stuff easier to take out of the sets still this little train case makeup set was one of the first items I still have. I have used up a lip gloss and still have the other items in this thing and will still cherish even if I finish the makeup products. Trying Ulta’s makeup back in 2014 was how it got me into their makeup products in the first place and still love them to this day. I do have my Be Gorgeous set still and Love Makeup and did take out the pallets from my Beauty Treasures to take my jewelry in a better way. I still love this thing!
8. If you were to tell your younger self about makeup, what would you say? I would say try out lip gloss. I never got into makeup until I was 23 and I’m 33 now. I remembered so many girls in middle school always wore makeup like crazy even one I remembered being friends with got into it. I never got the idea. I did try wearing lipstick in sixth grade but that didn’t work so if I said to try out lip gloss first then I could’ve gotten into it a little at a time and even practiced from then but hey now at least I am into it and loving it!
That is it for this tag! Vivi! I tag you! Teehee! Well, next I should be doing my Convention Spotlight on Ranger Stop 2018 because we got press! Beauty: Limited Edition MakeUp Tag!

Hello my beautiful nerds who are traveling the vast universe! It’s time for a new makeup tag!

Limited Edition Makeup Tag!

This tag was created by Angelica Nyquist who is a YouTuber I got into all thanks to Karen Harris and her video in particular besides the cat got me to do my answers. I hope doing it as a blog post is okay since it’s easier for me to do rather than have a camera with Siri telling me where my face is. I think this is an interesting tag because it asks about limited edition stuff and we all love the novelties behind it and sometimes it can be annoying to find depending on where you live or it’s in stock or not! Let’s see what questions she asked and what my answers are! I am not bashing on these brands if I have anything negative to say it’s my opinion and I’m entitled to that opinion!

1. What is the limited edition product that you were happy to get your hands on? It has to be both the Tarte Swamp Queen Pallet and the Too Faced Holiday 2016 Sets in New York Café and Merry Macarons! I remembered how Bunny also known as Grav3yard Girl on YouTube was releasing a pallet with Tarte and it caught my ear and I wanted it so badly. It was sold out at Ulta and when I got enough money to get this thing I had to order it on Sephora and was lucky that it was still available there when it sold out everywhere else. I love everything except that the bronzer was way too dark for me to use as a contour shade, I feel like an Oompa Loompa if I used it for that so I use it as eye shadow instead with the other shades that have an orange undertone. I wished there was a lighter bronzer even though Bunny does love her super dark contour but I can’t use it. Again, it’s an eye shadow for me. While the other two sets, these were very popular even the Merry Macarons because it smelled like cookies and it was sold out everywhere in my town and my dad didn’t want to give up on me getting it for Christmas until I called the Ulta he went to first and they had one left and I begged for them to hold it and they did until noon which made me happy that I got this. I haven’t used it much because of it being a hard thing to find and I love the vanilla scent it gives as much as the coffee scent from the New York Café ones since that’s coffee and these were the two really pigmented sets out of all three they did that Christmas. So I was really happy to get these three!
2. What was your least favorite LE Product you could live without? I would have to say the Nikkie Tutorials Collab with Too Faced. I know I did praise it despite how bad reviews were but this was one collab I wished it would’ve been pushed back for the pigmentation issues. I admit I did have some issues with one of the shimmer shades while the rest were pigmented. I do have to say one thing is that companies should not rush their collabs with YouTubers and celebrities because this can happen and Too Faced, especially, is well known for being one of the greatest companies with their pigmentation but lately it feels like they are going down the hill and their saving graces are the Peach Collection and the Chocolate Bar Collection. I am still on the fence about the Golden Bar Pallet by the way. I wished I didn’t have bought this despite how I love leopard, which got me, and I did want to support Nikkie. Still, it should’ve been pushed back.
3. What brand do you think that does Limited Edition best? This one is a hard one but so far so good I am giving it to Wet N Wild because they’ve been working their asses off especially last year with their Spring, Summer, and Fall Collections! I still have all three by the way and the only collection I have this year is the Flights of Fancy Collection and that was really good except for the primer spray which the sprayer died on me very badly. If I were to pick which collection was my overall favorite it would be Unicorn Glow because it was very simple and you can do a lot of things with those eye pigments, highlights, and you do have the lipsticks and that cute brush! I am also still thinking about their Zodiac Collection since I am also thinking what happens if they do a fall one in the midst? Who knows but still I think Wet N Wild does it best.
4. And to flip things over, what brand do you think does it the worst? Oh man, this one is very hard because I tend to pick which brand I want to get the limited edition stuff wisely because I look at reviews with some things like the Christmas stuff for example and some YouTuber related items just in case they go on sale. So, I can’t really say who does it the worst because reviews can be where you can tell yourself if you should get it. Also, I have to agree with Karen that there are times where brands do make it hard by saying it is limited or not and then bring it back due to people wanting it back, to me that is also confusing.
5. Name one thing or more that you wished that wasn’t Limited Edition? Easily the lip scrubs and baked blushes that were in the Flights Of Fancy Collection because as you know lip scrubs are a huge thing at the moment since people love to take care of their lips and brands have been popping up with their own scrubs in the drugstore so you don’t need to go to Sephora or Lush to get their scrubs as an affordable option. I have the watermelon one and man it doesn’t feel so rough like some of the ones I’ve tried so far, it’s just sugar and oils which are very essential to the lips after you get the scrubby bits off. I am not sure but I do lick it off and it’s not harmful to me and it does taste like watermelon. These should be permanent and more flavors please Wet N Wild. While the baked blushes, this was their first line of baked blushes and I feel like they can keep these in their permanent range due to how popular their Color Icon Blushes have been. These are as pigmented and easy to blend and yeah they may have the hummingbird in it but that can be removed and place it on the shelf. And of course, can make more colors of on top of it. I mean they took the concepts for the Metallic Cat Suits to make nude colors for their permanent range why not this?
6. What is the thing that got away and you couldn’t get and missed? I would say the Manny MUA pallet he did with Makeup Geek. I was so excited for this to come out but couldn’t get it since at the time I always asked for some money from my mom and was sad not to get it since the price was over whatever I had left. I did ask for it in PR and they said no to that. I wanted it so badly since I used to support Manny and I did love the shades that came in it, especially Luna and Artemis, I wished they released some of those unique shades separately then I would buy those but nope! I did let it get away and one side of me is kicking myself but the other is not feeling so badly since he does have his own makeup line and not sure if I should support it after not being subscribed to him for a while due to his makeup videos weren’t that entertaining after a while. I do like neutral eyes but they can be boring after a while. Sorry Manny.
7. What was one thing that was limited and made permanently and either made sense or not to you? I would say, since I mentioned Wet N Wild is that they took the Metallic Cat Suits and made a different range of them to be nuder and I liked that. I don’t have any of those shades yet but will in the future since I did love the ones from the Midnight Mermaid Collection and it was great that Wet N Wild took that and said, “Hey, people loved these why not just make nude ones since not everyone wants a bold lip.” I admit I love wearing blue and green sometimes but other times I do like my nudes and I did hear good things about what they did for permanent shades and glad that they did that instead of just keeping the Metallic Cat Suits limited edition.
8. What is one thing permanent do you think should have been left limited? Hmmmmmm! That’s a hard one! I got one! I noticed this ended up on Ulta’s website and that is the Midnight Mermaid Box! I wanted this originally from Wet N Wild but it sold out and it stayed sold out on their website and I got the individual pieces from Ulta and Wet N Wild to get the entire collection. Trust me, that was hard on both sides but what the question is would it have been back in stock? I even talked to people over at Wet N Wild on the phone and they said it won’t be back. Guess what? A year or so later, it was on Ulta’s website. Seriously? I was mad at Ulta since they could’ve had this when the Midnight Mermaid box first released but we were told it was going to be only on Wet N Wild’s website. All I have to say, it looks like it’s no longer there but at least it was still considered limited edition because I feel like the box sets should stay limited and like what Wet N Wild told me if it sold out then you pretty much can’t get it again. The Flights of Fancy Box is there though in case if you haven’t gotten that yet.
9. What is the Best Thing or Collab Released According to You? I would say when Ofra collaborated with any of the YouTubers so far like Nikkie Tutorials, Manny MUA, and Kathleen Lights because they have had liquid lipsticks released, not only that Nikkie had a highlighter wheel made and now she’s getting another collab with them which is a good thing. I love Ofra and I hope they keep on going with other You Tubers that have been working hard and I know some of the shades are also permanent at the moment which is pretty awesome for Ofra.
10. What limited collab or product would you like to see? I would like to see more brands collab with smaller you Tubers. Yes, it’s great that they got the bigger ones but the smaller ones need some boosts too because they buy the brands all thanks to the bigger ones and try them out on their channels or blogs and getting that support like with the bigger YouTubers can help them get more subscribers after having their work checked out. Yes, being on a PR list is great but getting that collaboration chance would make it even better.
Well, those are my answers and it was pretty challenging because you never thought limited edition would be thought about until now. We always hear “Limited Edition” all over the place and we know it’s not really for some things. But these were my answers and I hope you enjoy it!

Next post is my Ipsy for July! I know, I said I was getting my first bag in August but apparently I’m getting one this month and I will explain that in that post! So follow us on Twitter for any updates about that @ Nerdy Shique! In the meantime guys, stay beautiful my nerds!

Beauty: What FIve Things I Would Save In A Fire?

Hello all my beautiful nerds traveling the vast universe! Today is going to be a new tag!

What Five Makeup Products I Would Save In Fire?

So, today, I watched a video by Just Call Me Jo on YouTube which I just subscribed to all thanks to Danielle Schmidt and now watching Danielle’s video and this tag deals with what five things I would save from a fire? Now I’m hearing “fire” by Arthur Brown in my head especially with one specific line that goes, “You lost all you saved and earned…” Anyways, so it’s interesting to see what a blind person has to say with a huge makeup collection but these are five items I would save.

. Ulta Be Gorgeous Set: This is the first product I would grab first because it is one of my shelves and this is a set I can’t stop touching and well it’s no longer available. It has all of the things I need which there is a ton of shadows, also has bronzer, blush, and highlight, even my gel liners and a few pencil liners and lip products! I better grab the flash drive with my pallet guides then!
L’Oréal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara: The mascara I would save is the L’Oréal Miss Manga Mascara! This is my ride or die because it is my top fave cosplay item and it makes my lashes look amazing and yes I can replace it but this is one that I would run out with! Can’t help it if it’s my all-time fave mascara either!
Black Moon Cosmetics Moonlighter in Shroom: I just got this recently and it looks stunning on me and that is my Shroom Moonlighter from Black Moon Cosmetics because of how beautiful it is! I was hoping to get Squid from this line but it sold out at Riley Rose which sucked but this one was my second choice if that happened. It does have a bit of glitter but not to the point of pooping it since I can put a brush easily into the compact and put it on my cheek bones!
Both Urban Decay Naked Heat and Petite Heat Pallets: I know this is slightly cheating but Jo did have six items but I would have these together and they are the Petite Heat and the Naked Heat pallets from Urban Decay. I’m trying to collect all of the naked pallets from Urban Decay at the moment and my birthday is coming up soon and have two left to get but these two have my faves out of all the ones that have been released, even more than the Naked 2 Basics. The mini pallets really got me to collecting since I use those for interview makeup and when I had my work experience, heck I hit pan pretty hard on the final shade of the Naked 2 Basics and bought another during Pre-Employment, so yeah on my second one on that and the first one may follow suit but later. These two in particular are very unique despite how warm toned they are but very versatile. Yes, people have complained about too many warm pallets but you can create a lot of looks plus the Petite Heat is a supplement where you have colors that did not appear in its original counterpart especially with the orange! I would grab these two since I can’t keep my paws off of them!
Wet N Wild Foundation in Buff Bisque: My final item is of course the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation in Buff Bisque! I know over the years I raved about Almay’s foundation from the Clear Complexion line but this one beats it out of the water because the applicator is simple and you don’t have to pump out so much which you just spread all over the face and I buff it in with my beauty sponge! Plus, it’s very affordable and my skin just matches perfectly with this shade. Speaking of tools…
Coastal Scents Vanity Affair Brush Set: I’m going to pop in one more item before I end this post or shall I say before my runner ups! I would so grab this brush set first since I can’t go without brushes and my suitcase of loose brushes would be too heavy and that’s the Brush Vanity Affair Set from Coastal Scents! Reason being is that I had watched this set on Coastal Scents for years until it went on sale but found it on Amazon a few months back for $9.99 plus free shipping and grabbed it since it was the last one. And Coastal Scents put it on sale for half off. What the heck? Oh well, but this set does have all the brushes I need from powder to foundation and all the eye brushes I need. I can just get the Real Techniques sponge at Ulta real quick!

Runner Ups: Can’t go without a few runner ups!

Hot Topic Black Beauty Galaxy Shadow Pallet: First is something from my fave store Hot Topic and that is the Galaxy shadow pallet which is in the original huge packaging! This shadow pallet is unique and it has more out of this world colors and I admit I’m not afraid of playing with color time to time!
NYX Dream Catcher Pallets: My most favorite pallets from NYX are the Dream Catcher pallets which are Dusk to Dawn, Golden Horizon, and Stormy Skies which I love all three and they are so pigmented! Plus these are the cheaper pallets that NYX has released since. I saw the newest one and ten shadows for close to $30? Say what?
MAC’s Warm Soul Blush: I’m so addicted to this blush and it became a major staple in most looks!
L’Oréal Lumi Bronze It In Light: This has become a favorite bronzer and it’s hard to not wanting to use it but it always ends up in my hands like the next item!
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer in Light: This is a bronzer I wear a lot since it is so natural and the smell is amazing!
Curve Chill perfume: Even though I’m running low at the moment but I would grab my bottle of Curve Chill! This perfume is the cleanest smell in the Curve line because I tend to love clean smelling perfumes and it’s not that heavy of a scent either. Plus Curve was one of my first perfumes but it was Curve Crush and I do have a bottle of that along with Kick, Appeal, and Wave.
Burberry Brit Perfume: Last runner up and another perfume and that is Burberry Brit which has been a big staple fragrance in my perfume collection! Everyone at the Blind Rehab Center always knows me by this scent due to it being a unique vanilla spice scent and I’m a unique person that everyone meets.

Well, that’s about it for this post! It was hard to narrow down some items since I do have a big collection of makeup and it does continue to grow! I am glad that Danielle Schmidt and so many other YouTubers have done this tag so I can do this post. If I were to tag anyone, definitely Vivi! Your turn! I want to see what you have to say! I will get the interview with Apl D Ap up as soon as she finishes looking at it in case if it needs editing and more things to come! I haven’t been posting as much since I’m going through a lot of books and I’m also still going through the JAWS Certification so I can pass that before I start my Grad Certificate Program so hang in there! In the meantime, make sure you follow us over on Twitter @ Nerdy Shique for any latest updates like if I finished anything in my Project Pan! Until next time! Stay beautiful my nerds!

Beauty: Beauty Habits Tag!

Hello Shiquers and welcome back to Nerdy Shique Universe! Since I’m waiting for the other videos to be uploaded to our YouTube channel, I thought I should do something fun in the meantime and that is another tag post!

Tag: Make Up Habits!

So, as a makeup lover, there are times when you have those habits when it comes to wearing it and putting it on and this tag was started by Danielle Schmidt and Shannon Bidgood tagged Nicki Murphy and I watched her video which had me inspired to do my own! Let’s see what I have to say!

1. How often do you wear a full face of makeup? Hmm! I hardly wear a full face unless I want to experiment, making a beauty video over on the Nerdy Shique Universe YouTube, now I have been wearing more neutral looks for my Customer Service Training classes since I have been doing it for the past two weeks and going back on Monday, so it’s now everyday but if I wasn’t doing the training just once in a while.
2. Is your look more neutral or colorful? Most of the time it’s more neutral because it’s my comfort zone and it looks nice with my eyes. I don’t mind playing with color since I have my Ulta makeup sets and play around with some of the colors in that, also my Unicorn Blood and Midnight Unicorn pallets, heck even my Gwen Stefani pallet. Of course I have used the Naked Heat pallet and had fun with that too. Most of the time it’s neutral.
3. How long does it take for your full makeup to do? Tends to be forty-five minutes to an hour because I have to make sure my eyes aren’t crazy with smudges all over the place. I remembered having brown shadow on my nose by accident and went to WalMart to run errands and people glared at my fiancé and didn’t know why and he saw the smudge on the nose. That is why I have to be extra careful!
4. Do you apply eye foundation before or after eye shadow? Before! I found it easier to do it before my eye shadow since of course fall out and it can be messy depending on the shadow I use. Plus the cleanup with my baby wipes is easier with doing it after shadow.
5. What are your bad makeup habits you can’t stop doing? It’s hard to say! I would say napping with makeup on, I am guilty of doing that but nowadays I make sure I clean it off if I need a cat nap after a long day of something. Also, tugging on the corners of my eyes, mostly my right eye, to apply my crease and lid shades! There are times when my right eye can be the lazy eye while my left is the twitchy one and I am not sure is due to how my eyes aren’t used to being pulled on, even the doctors have hard times putting the eye drops in when I go to my big appointment in South Florida. Putting eye shadow can be challenging time to time and I have to keep my right eye from being so lazy and have to pull it to make it easier to get my transition and crease shades sometimes, heck it’s mostly the lid shade.
6. Do you use beauty influencers’ techniques or your own? It’s mostly my own because as a blind person I can’t see myself in the mirror and knowing where to place a shadow or blush I have to make sure that I get it just right and knowing where to go by feeling until I memorize it by heart becomes easier over time. With brushes, my technique by the way, is to feel the feral and bristles in how wide they are to know which one is which if I have it in my brush collection or in a set I picked up from Amazon or a different company. I do admit I used Molly Perk’s way of doing her eyebrows which I thought it didn’t work out for me but I used it again with my NYX brow pomade yesterday and that is to go from the tail end of your brow to the start of it and it worked out a bit better for the pomade since there are times brows can be a miss or can go on heavy. I will make sure to remember her technique if I’m in a pickle. If you don’t know who Molly is, she is an awesome YouTuber who has my eye condition, Retinitis Pigmentosa, and she went blind in her teens while I went blind in my twenties. I suggest checking her out in how she lives her life as a blind person.
7. What is the one step that takes you the longest to do? You already know and if you have seen my beauty videos and that is the eye! That is why my And That’s Jacob Tutorial video took an hour to do since there was a ton of steps to do but most of the time it is my eye entire eye step! Brows I tend to be quick, face not too bad, eyes almost thirty minutes depending on the day and pallet I’m using! I think the quickest pallets for me have to be the Wet N Wild trios but that can take me twenty minutes.
8. This is a two parter! First is what step you can skip? Brows because my brows are so perfect! They were bushy almost every time and always had to get them waxed but when I have my own tweezers that is when I do my own and I prefer it that way too. People do complement me on my brows and how well they are put together even without the brow gel and pomade, even powder if I used the Ulta sets. Second is what one step you can’t do without is? I would say eye shadow even if it takes me almost an hour to do because I feel naked sometimes if I just do eyeliner!
9. What makeup look is out of your comfort zone? Oh man! Hmmm I would say sometimes the really out there colorful looks! I do try them out time to time if I need to do something like a cosplay look or just wanted to have fun, they can be a bit out there. I do admit when I did my RWBY inspired looks I went a bit out of my comfort zone and even my Digimon character I added pink and silver, so yeah colorful looks are a little bit out there and don’t have to be afraid of them all the time.
10. Do you wear matte, glossy, or cream lipsticks? I wear all three actually! There are times where I switch it up and I tend to carry a gloss in my makeup bag if I want to switch it to that some days or put it on top of whatever matte lipstick I wear while with cream ones I tend to wear either a liquid lip or the MAC Cream Sheens.
11. If you could only wear one shade of lipstick what would it be? I would say either Cream Cup or Ruby Wu from MAC because those two colors fit me a lot.
12. Do you highlight or contour? Yes on both because I started doing my contour recently since I asked Vivi for some pointers and then to do my cheek bones with my bronzer and blend the edges with my blush and then highlight after blush. I tend to use a lot of golden highlights while other times if it was cosplay then I would use Sweet Visions from MAC for FlutterShy for example or the Mosaic looking one from NYX.
13. What is the one step that makes you feel complete? I would say setting spray since I started to use it now. I never thought setting sprays would be such a great completion to makeup until I started really using it. I’m using the Demi Matte one from NYX since my skin is dry and sensitive and it’s working out pretty well.
That is it for this tag post! I had fun doing it since it’s been a bit since the last tag I done and that was the Baby Bat Days one thanks to Vivi. Speaking of which, the person I want to tag is Vivi to do this one since I think it would be a nice idea for her channel.

What is next for Nerdy Shique Universe? We’re starting to put up more of the videos onto our channel from Omni Fandom Expo so stay tuned!
