Subscription Satelite: Ipsy April 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another makeup subscription!

Ipsy April 2022

It’s time for Ipsy for this month with both the Blam Bag and GB Plus. These two of the Glam Bags you can have with your subscription. The regular Glam Bag is $13 every month with deluxe to full size items with a makeup bag while the GB Plus is $28 each month with a drawstring bag containing more full-size items and you get to choose three out of the five items. Let’s see what I got in each bag shall we?

Glam Bag

I have to say that this month’s bag has another mix of makeup and skin care, even one hair care item. When I found out I was getting the Marc Anthony Leave-In Conditioner, I was excited since it was a brand I loved for so long and has given my hair some life ever since trying them out through Ipsy. WHen I got my Glam Bag in the mail, I put this item with the rest of my hair products because it has been a staple in my daily hair routine. It gives my shorter curls some life! I will definitely get a full-size product of this since I have enjoyed it! WHat I found weird is with the Symbiosis primer, it gave me a different name on the tube and the website, which you will see in the link. Even though it says Perfecting here but it says something different on their website. Not sure if it was due to Ipsy not wanting to put the actual name for the product, that seems a little weird to me when they always put the full name every month. I am looking forward to using it since it is a good size product. The item I picked was the V Cosmetics Blush since I saw this and saw it was rose gold, it got my click when the choice came up. I felt that some of the products in the selection were okay until this blush appeared. I do love blush and this was different. It’s a triple milled, shimmery pink blush that is soft on the skin. I can’t wait to use this and see how it goes!

Update! I finished the Glow Recipe Watermelon Drops and with such a small sample, it did moisturize my face and didn’t have any weird effects like the avocado sleep mask I got from BoxyCharm a few years ago, but it was pretty good@! Wishing it was a full-size or a bigger sample size for easier distribution.

Glam Bag Plus

I don’t know why but the second and third groups for choice on GB Plus were boring again. Group 1 was the exciting one and hard for me to choose since it not only had the Ciate London bronzer but also had a nail polish duo, you all know how I love polish and keeping my nails pretty while typing, and some cream shadow from Girlactic. Why don’t they put those two products in  the other two groups since those were underwhelming and I wanted them as well. I did comment over at Ipsy about it and hoped it gets changed for June since next month is GBX. I did have a hard time with February’s GBX because the final group had some good items but the sunglasses called to me more.Anyways, I found the Dragon’s Blood Eye Gel most interesting in group 3 despite having other eye creams, it has an interesting name except has more of the skin loving ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Rose Water and other ingredients to help moisturize the eye area. I will definitely be using this once I’m done with few of the other eye creams. The Ciate bronzer caught my eye since I haven’t tried a browser from Ciate yet and thought it would be a new addition even though I use bronzers on certain occasions when I feel like contouring my outer cheeks. I will also use the brush set since this would be great for the Urban Decay Moisturizer Foundation I picked up during 21 Days of Beauty this time around. I will have to see these go.

That completes these Glam Bags. I think Glam Bag beat out GB Plus again due to how useful the products I got were. I will still use my items in GB Plus since I never heard of SandBar before and glad to have a blush pallet this time. I did go into Jen Luv’s chat this week about Cos Box going out of business and how subscriptions are great but some people cancel due to how much product. I think, this is how I feel, subscriptions give you the items so you can take months to use over time instead of that particular month. It took an entire eight months before I started using my Sunday Riley sunscreen I got in my Allure Beauty Box last year due to using the Coppertone one I took with me to Atlanta. I will be talking about Allure next so stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: Ipsy March 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe. I am back with another subscription post!

Ipsy March 2022

I got both my Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus a few days after each other. I feel that this month’s bags had more makeup being centered since I felt I had a lot of skin care and picked makeup items for GB Plus. The regular Glam Bag is $13 and the Glam Bag Plus is $28 a month. In the Glam Bag you get more deluxe size items and sometimes full size ones while GB Plus contains more full size items and you choose three items each month. Let’s see what I got!

Glam Bag:

  • Context Skin Matte Lipstick in Robot Lover
  • Half Baked In Bloom Powder Blush in SoftServe_Queen
  • Pure Brazilian Daily Anti-Frizz Serum
  • Shana B Miami Be Extra Pigment Duo in Venetian Gray and Queen Of Diamonds
  • Winky Lux Super Perfect Under Eye Concealer in Light Beige

This month’s bag was about makeup and one hair item. The product I selected was the Winky Lux Under Eye concealer since it was different from what I’ve seen in past choices. Even though there were concealers in choices for past bags, some months didn’t have the right shade for me and I was glad to choose this one. It was very creamy when I applied it. I just put a dab on my mixing palette and then dabbed it on and blended it with a brush. I figured it was easier than putting a huge glob on my under eyes. It blended very well though. I did use the lipstick from Context Skin since it was my second lipstick from these guys due to getting it last month. It is a medium dark red color which is perfect to wear at work. Plus, it feels good on the lips! I am currently wearing the Shana B Duo and the Half Caked Blush which I was surprised at the size of the blush but I was able to fit my brush very well. I took a look and it is supposed to be a cotton candy shade and so it’s pink. It did go on pretty well. I did use the shadow duo on top of my Mac Paint Pot in Taylor Gray to enhance the gray in the duo. I did find it weird that the other shade felt like it was falling apart slightly. At least this is just a sample I don’t have to worry about. With the anti-frizz serum, I only used it once when I was using my other hair products, I did notice my hair was softer so I have to keep using it.

Glam Bag Plus:

  • About Face Light Lock Fluid in Fight or Flight
  • ViseArt Petit Pourquoi
  • Gerard Cosmetics Hydro Matte Liquid Lipstick in 1995
  • Alleyoop Multi-Tasker
  • MOTD Cosmetics Highlighting Powder in Lucid Moon

Now it’s time for Glam Bag Plus! I wish the final group for choices had better options since I feel like that it always feels meh. Even though the second grouping felt the same way. I did pick some pretty good items and they were the liquid lipstick from Gerard Cosmetics, a sponge and brush duo from Alley Oop and a highlighting powder from MOTD. I was most excited about the Gerard Cosmetics lipsticks because I heard so many good things about these over the years. I was glad to see this item as a choice and picked it. I felt that the applicator was interesting but it did apply a good amount of product. I do carry it with me in my makeup bag for work since it’s a rosey brown shade. I will have to check more things out by this brand since I heard good things about the eye primer. I am wearing both of the MOTD and About Face highlighters on my face at the moment. I did the same thing with the concealer by applying the About Face liquid on the pallet and applying it with my fingers and then used the MOTD highlighter with a brush to blend the two together. I like the idea that the About Face liquid is in dropper packaging and it helps with product distribution and won’t go all over the place. I do have another all thanks to an About Face duo I picked up from the Offers page. I haven’t used the Vise Art shadow quad as of yet. Wait! It is an eight pan! I will try it out and see how it goes!

That is it for this pair of bags. I’m happy with this month’s bags and what I chose. I’m thinking of linking each product again with each bullet point, and will do that whenever I get my Glossy Box. I did check on its status and nothing about shipment, I did ask them and they explained that it would ship within the month and it’s already the second to last week of the month. Still will be looking out for it. Hoping it does arrive and that is the next post!

Subscription Satelite: Ipsy February 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new version of a subscription post!

Ipsy GlamBag & GBX February 2022

I got both my Glam Bag and GBX a little bit later this month. I only got one add-on with my Glam Bag and that caused it to be late so I decided to combine them in a new way. I will list the products and then talk about any of the ones I have tried or am excited about.

Glam Bag

  • Context Skin Lipstick in Running Free
  • Go to Skin Care The Removalist
  • Hip Dot Contour Brush
  • M2uNYC DShadow Duo in Cobble Hill, Clean
  • Sowasu First Care Activating Serum

So, this month with Glam Bag, I felt it was a better balance between skin care and makeup and one tool. I am glad to get the Hip Dot brush since I have enjoyed the Clueless blush palette and the Witchy pallet from Halloween. I will be using this brush when I contour next time. I was glad to try out a new shadow duo from M2u NYC since I have enjoyed the shadow primer and when I saw this as a choice I had to get it. This duo has an espresso and a gold shade to go from day to night. I will definitely see how this goes even though I did use up the shadow primer. I am using the Sowasu serum at the moment to see how it feels from the Good Molecules one I’m using all the time. It does feel good when applying but I do get the tingle from using new items of course. I haven’t tried the lipstick as of yet which I will and the same with the Removalist. I did get the Ipsy Bundle in I’m Bold which included the new Morphe pallet for this month which I was skeptica at first due to how Morphe is a bit of a sketchy company but will give this pallet a try after enjoying the James Charles Artistry pallet. I did get other items too and will see how it goes!

GBX

  • Juvia’s Place Nubian Pallet
  • MZ Skin Soothe and Smooth Hyaluronic Eye Complex
  • Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Hydration Primer
  • Aceology Hydrating & Brightening Biodegradable Masks
  • First Aid Beauty Niacinamide Serum
  • Tarte 12 Hour Highlighter in Sparkler
  • Quay Sunglasses
  • 111Skin Cryofree Cleanser

The GBX for this month was curated by Adison Ray. I was excited to find the Juvia’s Place palette in my GBX this month and did get the second and third ones since they are in a series. They were also on sale on Ulta. I did choose a pair of sunglasses this time since they were different from the makeup I would choose. I have been using them and they fit pretty well on my face and don’t feel tight either. $75 sunglasses in your Glam Bag X? Yes please! Especially if you live somewhere extra sunny. I will definitely use the sheet masks since I do enjoy those when my skin needs some TLC and I’m happy to try something new from Benefit, which is the Professional Hydrating Primer. As you know, my skin can get really dry and it’s good to have a primer to hydrate the skin before makeup. I will use this whenever I run out of anything that is primer related. Let’s see how it goes!

That is it for this post, I think I prefer doing it this way since it is easier if I just write the product once in one list. I may link the product in future posts and plus it would make more sense to combine both the two bags for Ipsy instead of doing a separate post for both. I will still do it for Allure and Glossy Box but may do it this way since I think it makes it easier on myself, especially when I have to use Convenient OCR for the other two boxes with the small pamphlets they include.  What’s next? I am thinking of doing a post on products I switched to over time because I have changed some things in my makeup and skin care routine, until next time!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag Plus January 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with the first Glam Bag Plus of 2022!

Ipsy Glam Bag Plus January 2022

Well, I got my Glam Bag Plus this weekend alongside my Allure Beauty Box, which will be next. This bag is $28 a month with five items that are full-size and you get to choose three out of the five. Let’s see what I got!

Add-On Kimchi Chic Beauty Stage Proof Setting Spray

First up is a product that I picked up as an add-on which is the Stage Proof Setting Spray from Kimchi. I almost chose this as a product but chose something else in the group and found this in the add-ons. This is supposed to keep makeup on your face and you’re glad to get something like this in a bag to try out different ones. I will have to see how this goes since I’ve enjoyed the blush from this brand!

Milk MakeupK Kush  High Volume Mascara in Bloom

` The first item that Ipsy selected for my bag was the Milk Makeup Kush High Volume Mascara. I remembered getting one similar in a BoxyCharm a while back. I’m glad to get another one since it did dry out pretty fast over time. I hope it doesn’t dry out as fast when I use this. I will have to see how this goes on top of my lash primer.

Lauren Conrad The Lipstick in Shell

Next up is the Lipstick in Shell by Lauren Conrad. I’m glad to get another lip product and get to try it from this brand since I’ve seen them in Ipsy Choice items. This is a neutral color and it is very moisturizing, and the packaging is made out of recyclable materials which I’ve noticed with some makeup brands nowadays. I will definitely carry this with my lip products I use for work since it’s a neutral color.

Formula Z Cosmic Glitz Pallet

First u[p in my choices is the Cosmic Glitz pallet from Formula Z. I think this was in the same group as the setting spray or maybe it was the next item but some of the other products did get my attention, especially this one. This pallet has six shadows including purples, blues, and neutrals.b I will definitely be using this, especially on top of my eye primer!

Belle & Argent 8 Free Dramatic Duo

Next up in my choices is the Dramatic Duo from Belle & Argent. This is a nail polish duo which caught my attention despite getting a holiday set with a lot of polishes from Color Club a month ago. This has a nude polish along with a plum one which caught my ear as well. I will definitely be trying these out when I get a chance.

High Expectations Cannabis Facial Oil Https://highbeauty.com/products/high-expectations-hemp seed-facial-oil

Final item I chose is the Cannabis Facial Oil from High Expectations. I needed another facial oil after accidentally knocking over the one I got during December’s bag. I did start using this right away and glad that it is a night time only item and it does absorb very well. My skin has not reacted badly due to the 32% cannabis oil in this product. I do like the stopper having a button rather than a medicine dropper style you tend to see with most serums and oils. I will update in an emptiness which I may have in a few months.

That completes this bag! I love the mix of makeup, skin care, and nail polish for this bag. I wonder what Glam Bag X holds next month with how November’s was really good. I do have Allure up next since I did get that the same day as Glam Bag Plus. So stay tuned!

Subscription Satelitef: Ipsy Glam Bag January 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the bvast nerd universe. I am back with the first subscription box of the year!

Ipsy Glam Bag January 2022

It’s 2022 and with the new year is another year of Ipsy Glam Bags! This first bag is a good one and glad it’s more makeup except for one item which I will share in this post. This bag is $13 a month where you get products ranging from drugstore to luxury and they are either deluxe or full size. Let’s see what I got!

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

First item is from First Aid Beauty.n I love this brand since it’s sensitive skin friendly. This is a whipped moisturizer that helps dry skin, even eczema prone skin to be moisturized with shea butter and white tea extracts and more. I’m glad to start this year with this product since it does get really cold here on the Florida coast and my skin gets really dry around winter time. I will be using this product whenever I get to it since I have so many moisturizers in my arsenal. I’m glad to get moisturizers in my subscriptions since I don’t have to worry about buying some but I do like getting some on sale through Ulta or Ipsy. I can’t wait to use this. I am currently using the one I got in Allure last month.

Even though this says it is a moisturizer but it is body butter according to the Product Review I just now. I just did a search on the Ulta app and it’s used for face and body. I am happy that they had the answer on the jumbo size product page of the jumbo size. I hope this works out since I have enjoyed what I used from First Aid so far.

Lottie London AM to PM Eyeliner in Velvet

Here we go! This is the product that irritated my eyes and it’s from Lottie London and I had to toss. I love eyeliners to add an accent to my eyeshadow look. When I go to work I tend to wear shadow and liner with mascara on top of a lash primer but Thursday was when this happened. I just wore eyeliner with mascara to go with what I was wearing and for the first part of the day while in my office I felt my eyes water and sting. I was rubbing to see if it helps and it didn’t so I had to fast walk to the bathroom to clean my eyes. I did have to put in medicated eye drops when I got home because of it. I did post about it in Makeup Awesomeness and someone commented saying that some people have received old products in some subscriptions. I remembered in some Birchbox videos where people had gotten things with mold on them and I was surprised since this was a new eyeliner, as in no mold from what I can notice if I did see it with my peripherals, not even feeling it on the outside packaging, it was new! So, I decided to try it again while writing this post except I found it did irritate my eyes since I felt my left eye sting all thanks to it. I tossed it. I thought the Beautinique Blush Serum was bad, this felt worse because it really stung my eyes. It felt like I was getting a sty again but without one. I was afraid of Blepharitis again since I got that as I was packing for my move at the end of 2020. I will be giving this a bad review. I’m sorry, I don’t like this product since no other eyeliner has done this from Ulta, Urban Decay, Ariceli, and more.

Love+Craft Beauty GlitterGloss in Cyber

Next up is Love+Craft Beauty. It’s been a while since I got an item from this brand. It’s a lip gloss from them this time. It’s a clear gloss with a little bit of shimmer that is not supposed to be sticky. You can wear this alone or put it on top of other lip items. I do like a good clear gloss if I want to give my lip item an extra bit of oomph! I will be definitely using this on top of my lipsticks and see how it goes.

Complex Culture Holiday Shadow Pallet

Next up is my choice for this month and it’s from Complex Culture and it’s their Holiday Shadow Quad. I find it weird that they had this in choice when it should have been in choice for December, as in being able to choose this in November for the December bag, unless this was a leftover item. It happens and I need to push the product out. I’m glad to choose this though since I can travel with this or just be lazy and pick it up to do a look. THis is a quad that contains berry shades which makes sense for a winter themed pallet but for anyone who wants a nice purple look. I will try this out since I did enjoy this brand’s brushes.

MOTD Tap and Dab MakeUp Sponge

Final item is a makeup sponge from MOTD. I haven’t gotten a makeup sponge for years in Ipsy and I admit back then I was not into sponges but when I started using them they changed my mind over time. I have tried brushes from MOTD and it’s good to have a change from getting brushes by getting a sponge. THis sponge is made from latex-free foam that can be used with powder, liquid, and cream products when dampened by water. I will definitely be using this in my makeup routine!

Well, that’s all I received this month. Even though the eyeliner sucked, the rest of the items were really good choices! I will definitely be using the sponge and moisturizer in my routines since it is a nice change with the sponge. I did just receive my Glam Bag Plus and will do that post next!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag February 2021

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! Time for another post!

Ipsy Glam Bag February 2021

Sorry for the bit of a wait on this but now it’s time for my Glam Bag for this month! This bag is $12 a month with deluxe to full-size items ranging from independent brands to luxury. You also get a makeup bag to go with it! Let’s see what I got!

Eyeko Galactic Lid Gloss in Zodiac: First up is an item from Eyeko. This is known as a lid gloss which is in a warm copper color with a shimmer finish. Perfect color since I do enjoy cooper colors. I will try this out since I enjoy the Eyeko mascara I purchased from Ipsy a while back.

F. A. H. R. A. Brushes Flat Foundation Brush: Next up is a brush from F. A. H. R. A. I have enjoyed this brush company so far and glad to get another brush to try from them. This brush is densely packed to be able to apply cream and liquid foundations smoothly without streaking. I’m using the Wet N Wild Dewy Foundation and will see how well this blends that whenever I apply it. Let’s see how it goes!

Kenzy So Beautiful Body Lotion: next up is a lotion from Kenzy. This lotion can be used as either a perfume or can be used on dry spots and all over the body. With sizes like I get in Ipsy I would use these as hand lotions. This contains apple, citrus, and florals. I will definitely use this for my hands.

Marc Anthony Strictly Curls Hair Mask: Next up is a product from Marc Anthony Hair Care. This is a hair mask that helps with curls by strengthening and moisturizing them with coconut cream, shea butter and marula oil. I have tried many hair masks in the past and Marc Anthony is one of them and glad to try another mask from these guys!

Pixie Beauty Endless Silky Eye Pen in Plum: Final item is from Pixie and it’s an eyeliner in plum. Glad it was plum. This is a silky eye pencil that goes on smooth and the plum color is striking. I will have to give this a try since I never tried an eyeliner from Pixie. I do enjoy purple liners and glad to try one from this brand.

That is, it for this bag! I didn’t get to choose this month but it’s okay that I didn’t. I will definitely enjoy what I got this month since it felt different from what I get in my bag each month. I can’t wait to use the brush the most since I do use a liquid foundation that I blend after placing it on my face. Next up is an anime review as a nice break from beauty products.

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag X February 2021

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from travelling the vast nerd universe. I am back with another post!

Glam Bag X February 2021

So, Ipsy has added a new bag to their line up and that is Glam Bag X. They did away with the GB Ultimate due to how people were not liking it. Even though you got twelve items in Ultimate but four out of the twelve were deluxe size and the rest were full-size. Not only that, but I also seen people not liking what they were getting in their Ultimate every month and said it was not worth the $49.99. I am glad I didn’t go for it but I went for this one since it called out more. So, every three months your GB Plus gets upgraded to this bag and you get seven to eight full-size items and they are luxury brands for the most part. You get to choose four of them which makes more sense. It costs $55 every three months. I think this is worth it even more than Boxy Lux since I felt like the brands from that are already in my Base Box anyways. This month’s items were amazing for a start so let us see what I got this month!

Patrick Ta Monochromatic Moment Blush in She’s So Adorable: First up is a product from a brand I have heard of and was happy to get. This first bag was curated by Patrick Ta who is a celebrity makeup artist. This is the Monochrome Moment Blush from his own line and it is a golden peach blush that is supposed to give you that lit from within glow. This blush is made with plant-based moisturizers to help with that glow and this can also be doubled as an eye shadow too. I will be trying this out since it’s my first time trying out this brand! This item retails for $32.

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Shadow Pallet: Next up is a shadow pallet from Huda Beauty and it is her Rose Gold Remastered pallet! When I saw this in my bag this month, I was really excited! I heard so many people enjoy this and the original pallet and I cannot wait to try this out. This is an eighteen-shade pallet with four different finishes, which when I was getting the shade descriptions I only saw matte and metallic unless they talk about warm-toned and dark-toned as finishes. You can go neutral or bold with these shadows. I know I can make a various amount of looks with these shadows and I cannot wait to play with my brushes! This retails for $65.

Pat McGrath Fetisheyes Mascara in Carbon Black: Next up is a product from Pat McGrath. I always hear about this brand all over YouTube and the MakeUp Awesomeness group and how so many people were debating to buy from this brand due to its high price points. Reason why I do not buy is due to how I can get awesome products for more than half the price but getting it here is awesome so I don’t have to pay that price and glad they put a mascara in this bag. This mascara claims to be a bold and flexible product that lets you have long lasting looks from fluttery lashes to really dramatic ones without the clumps. I will have to see about that since sometimes I do have some clumping if I am not too careful. I will have to see how this goes on top of my Tarte Stage One primer. This retails for $30.

Complex Culture Sonic T-Bar Massager: Next up is a product from Complex Culture and it’s different from what I’m used to too. This is a tool that helps with the skin by making it relax and less puffy. Apparently in someone’s review Patrick recommends that it should be used for serums and creams when it comes to spreading them. I must try this out with that since I do use a thick moisturizing cream at night. This retails for $58.

About-Face Paint It Matte Lip Color in Cautionary Tale: Next is a product from a brand called About-Face. This is a liquid lipstick that has minty matte formula that is long lasting too. This is a plum shade for your lips even though a review said it made her lips look brown. I do have to say is that I do not knock brown lipsticks myself since I sometimes wear one myself. I do love liquid lipsticks and I do use a lip primer first so I will see how this goes. This retails for $22.

IGK Hair First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo: Sorry guys, I made a mistake. You choose three items not four but the choices were good and some of them were hard to choose over! This first choice is from IGK Hair which is a dry shampoo. When I saw this, I had to go for it since I may be running low on both of my dry shampoos and it’s good to try a new one once in a while and glad to see this as a choice. This is a dry shampoo made with charcoal powder to help refresh second, third, and even fourth day hair and gets rid of that greasy feeling that builds up over time. I will be using this and see how it goes! This retails for $27.

Item Beauty One Hit Triple Action Setting Mist: Another item from Item Beauty and this is where I had the most trouble in my choices. Group 2 had awesome items to pick from. I almost went for the press-on nails but realized I got them in a set from Ipsy so I went for this since I do use setting sprays and remembered running low on my Tarte one at the time, which is now done, which I need to do an empties post. You can use this spray as a primer, as a setting mist and a refresher for your makeup. It is made with aloe, tiger grass extracts and lavender oils to help calm skin. Interesting! It also uses sodium hydrolats to help lock in makeup. I will use this as a setting spray and see how well it goes. Right now, I am using one of my Ulta Beauty ones so this will be next! This retails for $18.

Kitch Scrunchies in Mauve & Blush: Final item is more of something I do enjoy and that is a set of scrunchies! I have been going crazy and buying scrunchie sets from Hot Topic but when I saw this set in a choice group, I decided to go for it. You get five scrunchies in this set and are made with a velvet plush material that will not snag nor pull on the hair which is nice! I will be using these! These retail for $12.

Wow! This was an amazing first start for this tier in Ipsy! I think this is a better replacement for Ultimate. I cannot wait to see what May’s bag will come with since that is the next upgrade for GB Plus. There is one thing I wished is that they should use the Glam Bags that came with Ultimate with this one! Come on Ipsy, include a makeup bag with this one like with GB Plus and Ultimate! Maybe they will later like they did with Plus. I am so excited for my products and will be trying out the Huda Beauty shadow pallet and the Pat McGrath mascara and probably switch up my scrunchies with one of the Kitch ones to see how they feel. Thanks, Ipsy! What is next? It says that the NMNL box should be here tonight and I am still waiting on my Glam Bag to arrive since it got to Orlando this past week. Whenever it is in Orlando that’s when shipping is delayed. Let us see on which post is next!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag January 2021

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe. I’m back with another post!

Glam Bag January 2021

It’s time for my Glam Bag for the first month of the new year! This is the original bag that Ipsy has been known for and put together. You get five samples or deluxe sized items in this bag ranging from indie to drugstore to luxury brands. I love the idea to try new items in sample sizes because it gives you an idea of what to expect when buying the full-size item. This bag is $12 plus tax a month and you also get a monthly makeup bag. Let’s see what I got!

Ahaba Sea Kissed Mineral Hand Cream: First item is a hand cream and glad to get it since it’s been cold in my area for a few weeks now. This hand cream from Ahaba is made with dead sea minerals, also it is made with witch hazel and other essential minerals. This will be perfect for having at the office for the size of the sample that I got in this month’s bag. Soap can cry out your hands even with a high alcohol content which most places have and that’s not good, even for people with sensitive skin. That was the reason for my skin on my hands looked awful when I was a student. I will be taking with this me.

Catherine Malandrino Special Moments Au De Parfum: Next up is a product from a brand I remembered being in BoxyCharm and that is Catherine Malandrino. I have gotten two perfumes from these guys and glad to see these guys again but in the Glam Bag. This perfume can be used for special occasions since it has a mix of peach, orange, and plum for top notes, rose water and jasmine for a middle ground note, and vanilla, musk and amber for the base to stay on the skin. I will definitely be using this since I do love perfumes!

Jules Smith Beauty Power Slick Gloss in Bling Berry: Next up is a lip gloss from Jules Smith This gloss is based on rubies but it is sheer and gives off the shine without the stickiness. The last gloss duo I got from these guys did deliver the non-sticky feel that most glosses gave but hoping I have more product since I felt there was less of it in one of them. I can’t wait to try this. Pretty Woman Nail Polish in Ice Queen: Next up is a nail polish from Prety Woman. This is a shimmery white color which makes sense for winter. Wishing it was in my December bag due to the idea of having Christmas nails but some people do enjoy white nails year round. I remembered having a polish from Sinful called Ice Touch so hoping this is like that.

Uoma Beauty Drama Bomb Mascara: Final item is from Uoma Beauty. I have heard of this brand all over YouTube and when I saw this available for choice I decided why not try it out and see what the brand is like. This mascara is supposed to make your lashes fuller and fluttery with good ingredients such as avocado and caster oils. I have to see how well my lashes would feel like with this mascara on then. Hoping it will help make my lashes grow.

Add-Ons This month’s add-on with my Glam Bag is from Purlisse and it’s their Blue Lotus Balancing Moisturizer. I was trying not to get any more moisturizers since this was a GB Plus choice and I had so many moisturizers but like with GB Plus, Ipsy won’t let me go from not purchasing any add-ons. This is a moisturizer that is smooth and lightweight and it is made with blue lotus, white tea, and French marine plants. It also deeply mouisturizes the skin and smooth out imperfections. Okay, I’m interested in using this since my skin does get dry and do use moisturizers before makeup and will have to use this before makeup. Let’s see how this goes!

That’s it for this month’s Glam Bag. Yet another great mixture of products since I didn’t get any eye shadows nor liners since I got the mascara as my only eye product. I will definitely be taking the hand cream with me to the office and can’t wait to use my moisturizer. I’m still waiting on my No Make No Life since that’s still in shipment so hoping to get that this week. Stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag Plus January 2021

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I’m back with another post!

Glam Bag Plus January 2021

Time for GB Plus and the first one of the new year’s. This bag has more full-size items and you get a draw string bag with your stuff to fit into and you get to choose three of the items in your bag for more customization. This bag is $25 a month plus tax. Let’s see what I got this month!

Cela Crème Violette: First up is a body cream! I thought it was a liquid lipstick but it’s a body cream. This is a cream that can be used both on hands and body with a velvety texture. This is made with antioxidants, Cukapusu Butter and Abyssinian Oil to bring intense moisture. I will definitely try this out since I do have some dry patches and do have the bad habit of not putting any body cream. I will make sure I do. Ofra Cosmetics Highlighter in Retro Grade: Next is a highlighter from Ofra Cosmetics. These highlighters are amazing and have enjoyed them so far. I was happy to get this since it’s a full-size one since I have tried the samples and I still have highlighter in those, oh yeah, they will last you a long time, this will last me even further. This one is a duo chrome highlighter with ivory and lavender in it and of course is used to highlight the high points of your face. I can’t wait to use this since they are amazing! Thank you Ipsy for choosing this for me!

Laruce Beauty Eye & Cheek Denim Set: First in my round of choices is a brush set from Laruce Beauty. I have enjoyed this brand’s brushes and when I saw this, I was like, “mine!” This brush set can be used with cream and powder products and comes with five brushes. This is a combination of face and eye brushes. It also easily fit in your hands with the textured handles. I do have to say is that with the $150 value for this set it was worth the choice!

Item Beauty Cheek Money Duo in Mood Bibez: Next up is an item from Item Beauty and it’s a bronzer and contour duo. What got me is that this is meant for light to medium skin tones which I do have and it’s used for warming up the skin for a glowing effect. You use the contour to define your features and the bronzer for warmth. I do use bronzer for contour which is my sort of thing and easiest to use but can’t wait to try this out and glad I chose it.

YC Collection Let Me First Primer: Final item I chose is from YC Collection and it’s their Let Me First Primer. This is a blurring primer that laches onto makeup. It is made with ingredients that help with imperfections and last all day. Can use a pea sized amount on the face after moisturizing which is a good thing. I did see some good reviews since this is a new brand I never heard of and can’t wait to try this.

Add-Ons: This month I felt that I couldn’t move on without purchasing add-on items. The item I chose is from Morphe. I know I am not a fan of this brand but saw this. Boom, Lit, and R36 Set. This is a highlighting and brush set. I will be probably be using the highlighters with a different brush because the brush feels more like a blending brush for the eyes. Not kidding, even though they say highlighting, I can use it for the eyes after applying my shadows. These highlighters are supposed to be zero gravity defying so I will have to see how it goes.

Well guys that’s it for this bag. I do have to say it was a nice change from getting eye shadows like every month. I did notice some shadow items but having different products make it different. A face primer is a must, having a body moisturizer during winter is also a plus and getting a brush set, a highlighter and contouring duo makes it even better. I think I prefer having some face items over eye items due to having so many shadow pallets and this was a nice change. I can’t wait to see what February brings. Next up is my Glam Bag!

Review Round Up: November & December 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another post and on the first day of the new year!

Review Round Up: November & December 2020

I would like to say first is that I am really sorry for not doing a Review Round Up for September and October. Things were really busy with school and of course the move was going on so didn’t really have much time to do one so I am making up for lost time.

November: The order did get switched alongside with December since my No Make No Life didn’t arrive until close to Thanksgiving. I did manage to get all of my boxes in even my Ipsy ended up at my old address due to it not being updated yet. I didn’t use any of the eye products due to recovering from my sty and blepharitis and didn’t want my eyes to get any more irritated and did not help with the dust flying either while packing and unpacking. I hadn’t used any of my November BoxyCharm items due to packing them in one of the many boxes but when I do find it, I will definitely start using them. I did use the sheet masks, the lip color, and lip mask from my Glam Bag Plus though. The Honey Jaret masks did feel good. I felt that the one I used to give me pretty good moisture for my skin and felt pretty light too while wearing it. The lip mask was pretty moisturizing as well and the lip color from Complex Culture was not too bad. It was interesting packaging though since most lip products I get are in square shaped tuibes while this is more of a flattened rectangle. Also, I didn’t k now that the post did not publish. I’m really sorry about that as well. I’ve been using the Commodity perfume time to time and man it smells so good! I did finish the Banana Souffle moisturizer by Glow Recipe and it did feel really good on my skin. It was not too heavy on the skin and the sample size was really good as well. I don’t think I will pay the price though since Glow Recipe is pretty pricey. I may have to wait and see if it will be on the Ipsy Offers or on the BoxyCharm shop. With No Make No Life, I did try out the mask with the Eucalyptus Cream and it felt pretty good. I did use the multi-tasking stick which was pretty greasy after trying it out. The Miloko mascara felt good on my lashes though and made them curl up like the claims said. I will keep on using this mascara. The Dolly Wink eye pencil did feel good on my eyes. I hardly felt it bothering my eyes since I was till recovering from my eye infections. I don’t know how I feel about the brow pencil from Etude though. I wished I got a chocolate brown instead since that’s my shade in the NYX Brow Pomade that I have enjoyed for a few years. I will have to keep on using it.

December: The only thing about December’s boxes was that I felt that I got Ipsy leftovers in my BoxyCharm. How so? Well, I got the Mac Matte lipstick in Russian Red which I did buy from Ipsy a while back. I also got the Tarte Man Eater Mascara which was really good since it did bring a curl to my lashes and the Ofra Banana Powder, I believe that was a sample size some people have gotten in the past but not hating it since I have been using it to set my under-eye concealer. The only things that didn’t feel like leftovers were the Artist Coutur pallet which people did love the look with and the Eloise Liquid Shadow which I used as an eye base. It worked well as an eye base and didn’t budge at all. I am not sure if I will keep BoxyCharm since this box seemed a bit meh, I will give it a few more months. My Glam Bag and Glam Bag Plus were really good though. The Feel Cleanser was really nice! It didn’t feel too harsh on my skin on nights that I was using a sheet mask and it did help with the mask absorption. I hope to get more stuff from this brand. I am not sure what had happened to the powder I got though, it may have fallen out of my Caboodle, I will search for it and find it as usual. The brush did get mixed into my brush pouch since I am using the makeup bag, I got from the Kuromie and My Melody collection. I haven’t touched the Laura MakeUp lip gloss either but I have been using the Use Me Hair Curling Cream. I have to say is that it has helped my hair and I am going to purchase a full size of this since it is so good! The only thing I used from my GB Plus happened to be the Ofra lip gloss. I find it just okay; I think the lip gloss was not sticky but just okay. I may use it over other lip products down the line. As said before, I am using another exfoliating scrub, which the Feel one was just a trial size to try it out and then go back to my Hempz one. I haven’t used the QMS cream yet nor the Complex Culture powder either. The Alter Ego shadow from Il Maki age, I am going to use it at some point too. When it comes to the No Make No Life box, so far, I used the hair mask, which was weird. I feel like it did not do much for my hair. It would make sense if it was in a pot since to me with a hair mask you need to use it more than once for effects to take place rather than a one item type thing. I did like the MediHeal sheet mask and it did moisturize my face very well. It did fit my face pretty well too. I also have been using the hand cream since my hands do get dry due to the use of hand sanitizer and soap every day. I like the scent since it’s not too heavy and the cream is very creamy and smooth. And I also have been using the UR Glam lip oil too since I do love using glosses that are an oil and gloss hybrid. I haven’t used the hair clips much because they’re a bit too big for my liking but do they do hold my hair pretty well. The eye shadow pallet will be used at some point. Verdict: Ipsy! Reason being is that for these two months, I have  been enjoying what I’ve gotten in my Glam Bag. Even though the BoxyCharm for November had a good balance, I packed it before moving and didn’t get to use anything. I feel that Ipsy is beating BoxyCharm out of the water and No Make No Life is a close second due to how I was able to use some of the things except the hair mask was kind of weird. Hoping BoxyCharm steps it up for January!

Well guys that is it for this Review Round Up! So, now it’s a new year and hoping that these boxes keeping going well. Like I said I am thinking of cancelling BoxyCharm because they aren’t going so well for me, I am willing to give them a few more months before letting them go since I have gotten some good products except I felt that I got leftovers for December. In February, Ipsy is going to start Glam Bag X which is like Boxy Lux where instead of getting the regular Glam Bag you get more of a luxury based bag with seven to eight full-size items which I’m excited about. I almost thought about doing either Boxy Lux or Premium except I feel that the items aren’t my cup of tea and I feel happier with the regular base box. No Make No Life, on the other hand, I was mad that they falsely advertised the DHL thing during December because they used a different service from them and I didn’t get my box until this past Monday. Some four to five day shipping. I will keep them for a few more months too. So, next up is my Third Quarter Favorites so stay tuned for that!
