Subscription Satelite: Ipsy February 2022

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new version of a subscription post!

Ipsy GlamBag & GBX February 2022

I got both my Glam Bag and GBX a little bit later this month. I only got one add-on with my Glam Bag and that caused it to be late so I decided to combine them in a new way. I will list the products and then talk about any of the ones I have tried or am excited about.

Glam Bag

  • Context Skin Lipstick in Running Free
  • Go to Skin Care The Removalist
  • Hip Dot Contour Brush
  • M2uNYC DShadow Duo in Cobble Hill, Clean
  • Sowasu First Care Activating Serum

So, this month with Glam Bag, I felt it was a better balance between skin care and makeup and one tool. I am glad to get the Hip Dot brush since I have enjoyed the Clueless blush palette and the Witchy pallet from Halloween. I will be using this brush when I contour next time. I was glad to try out a new shadow duo from M2u NYC since I have enjoyed the shadow primer and when I saw this as a choice I had to get it. This duo has an espresso and a gold shade to go from day to night. I will definitely see how this goes even though I did use up the shadow primer. I am using the Sowasu serum at the moment to see how it feels from the Good Molecules one I’m using all the time. It does feel good when applying but I do get the tingle from using new items of course. I haven’t tried the lipstick as of yet which I will and the same with the Removalist. I did get the Ipsy Bundle in I’m Bold which included the new Morphe pallet for this month which I was skeptica at first due to how Morphe is a bit of a sketchy company but will give this pallet a try after enjoying the James Charles Artistry pallet. I did get other items too and will see how it goes!

GBX

  • Juvia’s Place Nubian Pallet
  • MZ Skin Soothe and Smooth Hyaluronic Eye Complex
  • Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Hydration Primer
  • Aceology Hydrating & Brightening Biodegradable Masks
  • First Aid Beauty Niacinamide Serum
  • Tarte 12 Hour Highlighter in Sparkler
  • Quay Sunglasses
  • 111Skin Cryofree Cleanser

The GBX for this month was curated by Adison Ray. I was excited to find the Juvia’s Place palette in my GBX this month and did get the second and third ones since they are in a series. They were also on sale on Ulta. I did choose a pair of sunglasses this time since they were different from the makeup I would choose. I have been using them and they fit pretty well on my face and don’t feel tight either. $75 sunglasses in your Glam Bag X? Yes please! Especially if you live somewhere extra sunny. I will definitely use the sheet masks since I do enjoy those when my skin needs some TLC and I’m happy to try something new from Benefit, which is the Professional Hydrating Primer. As you know, my skin can get really dry and it’s good to have a primer to hydrate the skin before makeup. I will use this whenever I run out of anything that is primer related. Let’s see how it goes!

That is it for this post, I think I prefer doing it this way since it is easier if I just write the product once in one list. I may link the product in future posts and plus it would make more sense to combine both the two bags for Ipsy instead of doing a separate post for both. I will still do it for Allure and Glossy Box but may do it this way since I think it makes it easier on myself, especially when I have to use Convenient OCR for the other two boxes with the small pamphlets they include.  What’s next? I am thinking of doing a post on products I switched to over time because I have changed some things in my makeup and skin care routine, until next time!

Subscription Satelite: Ipsy September 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast universe! I am back with another post!

Ipsy September 2020

Finally, my Ipsy came for September! I don’t get why this is always the last bag of the month but glad it arrived! This bag is $12 a month and you get five samples of products ranging from drugstore through luxury and even independent brands. I love trying new brands this way and gives me new things to try! Let’s see what I got this month! Juliet Has a Gone Musk Invisible: First up is a perfume! It’s been a while since I received a perfume and wanted to try this brand for a long time. It’s known as Juliet Has a Gun and the scent is Musk Invisible. This perfume stays on and acts like a second skin and it has a mix of floral, woodsy, and musk which is my favorite kind of mix. When I got it and sprayed it, I did smell the woods more than the other two, but I don’t mind. I do love an earthy scent when it comes to my perfumes and I think this will last me a bit since we are moving, and I did pack my perfume bottles so I will use this!

Maelle Clearly Brilliant Lips in Berry: Next up is a lip crayon from Maelle which I never heard of until now. This is a creamy crayon that has a sheer, berry tint and doesn’t need much maintenance. This is also made without the harmful ingredients and it’s very moisturizing. I only used this twice so far, so I need to keep on using it. Glad that I got this though!

Sundays Nail Polish in #18: Next is another nail polish by Sundays and this time the shade is #18. I am not doing my nails at the moment since I am really busy but also packing and don’t want my nails to be messed up due to all the packing. Even though this claims long-lasting wear, but it is clean without the bad stuff and it’s a deep plum shade in time for fall. I don’t know when I will be doing my nails again but glad to try more nail polish!

Tarte Big Ego Mascara in Bi: Next is a mascara by Tarte and it’s their Big Ego one. I do end

enjoy what I’ve tried from them so far and this time it’s the Big Ego one. Wishing this was in Glam Bag Plus but full size. It’s good to try it as a sample to see how it goes. So far, I found it jumped on my lashes yesterday even on top of the Stage One Lash Primer from them, but I have to see how it goes. I need to ask my friend who also got this and see how she felt about it and if it clumped up on her. I might buy the full size at some point to see if the formula is different since sometimes the sample is different from the regular.

P/Y/T Day-to-Night Eye Shadow Cool Quad: Final item is from P/Y/T and it’s their Cool Eye Shadow Quad. I wanted to try these guys for a long time too and glad I got to this way by choosing this item. I love the idea that they give out shadow quads instead of singles since I can do a quick eye look and can also travel with this. This quad has very highly pigmented shadows and made with Vitamin E and do blend with fingers or brushes. I do prefer my brushes and my shadow primer underneath so can’t wait to try this out. I hope to get more from this brand!

Add-On: Space Case Cosmetics Custom Eye Shadow Pallet: Now my only add-on and it’s from Space Case. I did not know this was going to be an item in Glam Bag Plus until after I made the purchase. This is a shadow quad with four of their shadows. The shades include Not Rocket Science, Unicorn Horn, Ghost Entered the Host, and Beatrix. I did like how these apply and I use brushes not fingers even though they said you can do that but for hygiene sake I do brushes. I’m glad I did pick this up when I did and will keep on using it.

That is, it for this post guys! I am glad that this bag was great this time around and can’t wait to see what is in store for October’s bag! Until next time!

Subscription Satelite: Glam Bag Plus July 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with another subscription post!

Glam Bag Plus July 2020

It’s time for Glam Bag Plus again! It arrived earlier than it has been which I guess it’s due to not getting any add-ons this month since nothing really caught my eye. I almost got the Jackie Eina pallet from Anastasia but that brand has not intrigued me because I have so many similar color schemes. I do want to support Jackie but not Anastasia. She does give good tips with press on nails which I will take some of that to heart. Anyways, this bag is $25 a month and you get more full-size items alongside a cute makeup bag. All I have to say is that this month was more makeup and one skin care item which I will tell you what they are!
Midflower Hyyarolonicc Acid Sheet Mask Set of Three: First is something from Midflower. I have loved their sheet masks since I bought sets of these from the Ipsy Offers page and they have helped my skin. When I found out I was getting these I was so excited and I did try one out for my sheet mask night. Hyaluronic Acid is very hydrating for the skin and it holds a thousand times its weight in water and this helps with keeping the skin dewy which I agree. I didn’t know this was thirty minutes for a mask but it did help with twenty. I would say if you haven’t tried anything with this acid try twenty first and then move up because you never know with what your skin can react and how it reacts. A full size pack of these are $15.
Il Makage Color Boss Multi-Dimension Eye Color in Eyes on the Prize: With this month’s choice items you could choose one of these babies but I didn’t choose any of them because I had a feeling I would get one anyways and I was right. I would have chosen the color I wanted but wanted to have more fun with what they chose me and that was Eyes on the Prize. This is a shadow that glides on like a cream, blends like a liquid, and finishes like a powder and the color is a light, metallic gold shade which I don’t mind at all since my eyes sometimes have a gold hue in the center. You can also use this wet or dry depending on the intensity you want. I have to try this out then and see how I like it! This retails for $29!
Tula Protect Plus Glow Daily SPF 30 Gel: Next is the skin care item and it’s also SPF related. Perfect timing too since we are in the middle of summer and I’ve been using a Glow Recipe sleeping mask with retinol in it. I heard of Tula all thanks to BoxyCharm and didn’t get that product in my box last month but got this in my GB Plus instead. This is a lightweight gel that gives a sheen and protects against the harmful rays of the sun. Not only this has probiotics and pineapple and papaya extracts to help with moisture but also has wild butterfly ginger root to help protect from UV Rays. Interesting on that ingredient which I will research now! Actually it’s also known as white ginger which grows in summer and fall and gives a white lily flower with a slight aroma. Interesting! Full size tube will cost $36 retail!
Real Her I Am Amazing Eyeliner in Black: Really Ipsy? You gave me a brown eyeliner and gave me another black one this month. You Okay besides the usual won’t budge and will stay on for twenty-four hours, this one is more of a cream formula that will glide on like butter! I have to put that to the test whenever I start using these liners again because my work makeup kit is being filled up with these pens. At least I don’t have to buy eyeliner pens for a while now. This retails for $16.
Tarte Surfer Curl Mascara: Finally my choice item and happy I chose this one because I wanted to try this one for a while now. When I heard Surfer Curl I was curious since I used to love surfing as in a fan of it. This mascara is supposed to make your eyes wider with the making lashes curled and also it contains Vitamin E and Sea Algae. Perfect name for this since this is good with its vegan formula. I have to put this to the test since I do have the Stage One Primer but still using my E. L. F. Lash Primer at the moment. I am glad to try this out so I didn’t have to purchase it at the moment and will come back for my Review Round Up on this. This retails for $23.

That is it for this post! This month’s box was pretty good because its summer and we need a good SPF even when trying out Glow Recipe for my first time and my skin has been holding up with SPF products so far so good. Been using my SPF Moisturizer from DSC. Also, when I look at it with summer you don’t want to wear heavy makeup while being outside in the hot sun. Some people said that this box sucked on one YouTube video but I think the choices were fine. I like the idea of a hybrid shadow , also sheet masks to moisturize after cleaning off the makeup and the skin being dry, of course I get to try a new mascara I wanted to try for a while from Tarte and see how it works. I am really happy with what I got and glad that the bag is not too tiny either because I have noticed that some of the bags for GB Plus have been a little small for a few months and the Glam Bag was bigger. I am using the bag with all of my items I carry in it. Apparently my BoxyCharm is close and see if it comes sooner than the tracking says. You will see the post soon! Until next time!

Subscription Satelite: BoxyCharm May 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with this!

BoxyCharm May 2020!

My last box for the month and that is BoxyCharm! Best saved for last and this box is $25 a month and you get five full-size products from prestige to luxury and they range from skin care to makeup to lifestyle. Let’s see what I got this month!

ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Pads: First is my choice item for this month and it’s from ELEMIS! I have been enjoying this brand so far and when I saw these I had to get these to try out. These pads have the tri-enzyme formulation with lactic acids and probiotics to help smooth the skin to reveal a luminous complexion. This sounds like the First Aid Beauty ones and I like those since I got the travel size in this box which I bought and then when 21 Days of Beauty came I bought two of the full-size pack which this is what I got this product in which is around the same size of the First Aid ones. These are pricier than those which the retail price is $59. Okay, this box is paid!
Studio MakeUp Eyes Ease to Wear Pallet: Next is an eye shadow pallet from Studio MakeUp. I remembered when I was not subscribed for two years and this brand was in the box and wanted to try them and finally get to since I got back in last year. This shadow has shades that compliment every skin tone and has a creamy texture to them and gives day to night looks with one swipe and easy blendibility. I will have to see with this pallet since I’ve seen some shadow pallets where I have to dip in more than once so I will see what happens. Plus, this pallet smells really good, it reminds me of the scent of Tarte shadows. This pallet retails for $35.
Pretty Vulgar I Am Caged Shadow Primer: Next is an item from Pretty Vulgar and that is their eye shadow primer. I saw this tube and was wondering what it was and glad that it was this! This is a lightweight and blendable formula that helps smooth lids and make shadows pop. I can’t wait to try this product out because I have been switching out eye shadow primers and glad I get to try this one while I’m doing that. This retails for $22.
Appeal Ultra Crème Liquid Lipstick: Next is a liquid lipstick from Appeal Cosmetics. I thought this was a mascara so I have to fish it out of my giant Caboodle. I do love liquid lipsticks and glad to try this item out from Appeal. This is a luxurious and creamy lipstick with a satin sheen, also only one coat is needed. I will have to see how that goes because the Tarte Sugar Rush lipstick claimed the same thing but did have to dip in another time. I have to see how this works out since there are formulas that can be drying and uncomfortable while other ones are very comfortable, stay tuned for my Round up Review! This retails for $21!
Tarte Magic Micellar MakeUp Remover and Cleanser: Final product is from Tarte Cosmetics and it’s their Magic Micellar MakeUp Remover. I have been getting back into cleansing waters where I use them after using my makeup wipe to make sure everything gets off my face since there are times where I have mascara sticking behind on my lashes and that can be annoying. Let’s see what this says! This item removes the hardest to remove makeup, even waterproof, and excess oils without stripping the skin. Can’t wait to try this out! This retails for $18.

Okay, this month was a really good month for BoxyCharm! I got items I would use and get to try out since I have enjoyed some of these brands already. ELEMIS already had my choice with the facial pads since I wanted to try more items by them but their prices are a bit on the high side so glad to try this when I pay for the box. I have been enjoying the items from Tarte which I’m glad to get a Micellar water to try out and an eye primer from Pretty Vulgar on top of it. I get to try out more Appeal and finally try out Studio MakeUp! All in all a really good month! Can’t wait to see what June brings since there are possible products to come! Can’t wait! I do have a tag post coming up so stay tuned!

Subscription Satelite: Ipsy Glam Bag May 2020

Hello to all of you beautiful nerds and welcome back from traveling the vast nerd universe! I am back with a new post!

Ipsy Glam Bag May 2020

It’s that time again and it’s time for Ipsy! I got my Glam Bag and GB Plus early this month and still waiting for my BoxyCharm to arrive. Anyways, Ipsy GB is $12 a month and you get sample to deluxe to full size items from skin care to beauty tools to makeup. You get a range from indie brands all the way to luxury brands! Let’s see what I got!

SL Miss Glam SS57 Brush: First up is a brush from SL Miss Glam. I am glad I finally got a product from this brand in my Glam Bag and I love these brushes! This is a gorgeous brush and this can be used for blending or in the crease. These brushes are made with synthetic bristles and a plastic handle. These handles are pretty weighted and the bristles are really soft. I’ve purchased sets from Ipsy from this brand and they are great face and eye brushes. This brush retails for $18.50.
Nails Incorporated Nail Polish in Camilia Drive: Next is another nail polish and from Nails incorporated this time! I’ve gotten polishes from this brand in this bag for months and it’s a pretty good company but my nails do get wrecked easily due to my typing and washing. This shade is a deep raspberry and glad to get this since I do like purple shades since this is a red violet. Right now I’m trying out press on for my first time, I know “GASP!” but I will try this polish after letting my nails breathe when I finish the week with these nails. I think this polish retails around $15.
Space Case Eye Shadow in Intense Stargasm: Next is an eye shadow from Space Case Cosmetics. Since I already love these guys I do enjoy their formula, especially the shadows which are very soft and do have a bit of a cream-like feel to them. This shade is a silvery shade and glad to try out this one since I almost bought this when I first got into them. This item retails for $9.
Way of Will Hand & Body Lotion in Sweet Orange & & EEleni: Next is a hand and body lotion from Way of Will. I never heard of these guys until this bag which I do love trying new brands I never heard of. This lotion contains shea butter, cacao seed butter, and avocado oil, and almond oil, also orange oil for the scent. Plus it is great for using after the gym because it gets rid of bacteria and the It does claim the Elemis Essential Oil helps to boost circulation and acts as an antiseptic. I did start using this and what I have an issue with is getting the product out. Plus it is best to use it on hands due to the small size you get. This retails for $28.
Tarte Sea Jelly Glaze Anytime Lip Mask in Strawberry: Final item is my choice this month and wishing it wasn’t due to the size of it. It’s from Tarte and it’s their Sea Day Anytime Lip Mask and which I wished it was in a pot after seeing how tiny it was. I don’t get why brands have to make their samples so tiny for Ipsy when they can just make a deluxe size in a pot than a tube. You can apply this as thin product during the day or thick at night for an all-night treatment. This retails for $14 which I should just get it from them for a bigger size.

That is it guys for this month’s bag which was meh! I wished the lotion was a squeeze bottle which is hard to do and the Tarte item was tiny. I did like the nail polish which I can’t wait to try and of course glad that I got the eye shadow from Space Case. I am also glad for the SL Miss Glam Brush which I am a fan of their brushes! I am not sure if I want to do Choice for June because the items in GB Plus are better for that but I will see what they offer before I choose Surprise Me! Speaking of GB Plus, I will have that up after I do the new book review on the next Oh Hell No Series from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. So stay tuned!
